Looked at another zed today, again the advert was very misleading car was rotten and looked very poorly maintained all round! Will I ever find a good one??

Im looking to get an engine rebuild and upgraded injectors. Was thinking to my self.... At what point does the pump get maxed out or close to it? Ive always had the notion that its better to pay a little more and have something run at 60% of duty cycle rather than 90%. Im looking at getting 740cc injectors over the 555 for this very reason. Can someone please advise me on the pump, and if it is worth replacing then what options do i have? CheerZ

  7. OK so gonna change the Spark plugs in my Z as they have not been changed in over 11 years! They have done well considering my Z has been and still is a daily drive all that time. I'm thinking I would like some NGK PFR6B-11B's but where can you get them in this country or is it an order job from Z1 in America. The only reason for this is I'm running 1.2Bar of boost on uprated Turbo's and understand the 11B's are a little longer than the NGK 11C's or any other plug. The Z Centre offer NGK Iridium's but are these better, offer any benefit or should I just stick with PFR6B-11B's as they we're specially designed for our engines... What Plugs is everyone run…

Well as many of you know some donut hit my car. We are bith insured with admiral (I knew this was going to be a problem) now they have come out and saidthe damage I claim he has caused was already there!!!!! They offered me a £300 settoement before VAT. Ummmm NO!! I am well and truely fed up with thus. 28 days ago I put my car up for sale(for financial reasons) and a few days later the tit hit my car putting the sale on hold and it then starts costine me money. I have the listing on gumtree which is about to expire. With all relevant photos with NO DAMAGE! Because there wasn't any. I've offered to show them this and they said it doesn't matter about that. So I demanded a …

Where to start, Well since getting to Lossie I found out that there was an RAF Rally team based out of here and Kinloss that needed a Co-Driver. So I got in touch and have got the job. My non race National B license is on the way, as is all my racewear. The team is small, just Audrey the driver who owns the car and 2.5 engineers. I am really excited and the team was on the edge of chucking in the towel until I got in touch and now its go-go-go. Last season in June they had a clutch failure 5 mins into a stage and that was them done for 2013. Audrey had been going to events and having to find a volunteer Nav, there was just no consistency. But now the 4 of us hav…

thought I'd see if there was anyone in Essex that fancy's giving me a hand at the weekend to fit my hicas eliminator as I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to anything mechanical. I will happily pay your petrol costs and even supply bacon (or whatever) sarnies and cups of tea? I should have all the tools to do the job, its just the know how I am lacking :)

Hi again I have a problem with a leak its coming from the passenger side just below the ecu (floor) collecting just in front on the foot well. Ive noticed its dripping by the panel which looks to hold the flare? I have removed this panel and tried various methods of fault finding also ive checked all drain holes with targa's off ive poored water down each drain hole and it all comes out at the bottom of the car, so it cant be drain holes or pipes, I have also removed the rubber section which screws into the top of the A pillar and sealed with silicone still got the problem is there anyway water can get in from behind the battery tray? Sent from my GT-I9300…

A little background would probably be good here. I got my zx in 2010 just before the first child was born and coped quite well until number 2 came along earlier this year. Then the slight moaning from her indoors became more like ultimatums (ultimati?) and I had to get a bigger car . 1 RS6 later and the Mrs is happy and I'm at least happy with the power. We've now moved back to england and the ZX is filling the garage much to annoyance of the ball and chain. She wants it gone  to make space for a bike but I have a get out clause! I want to do some racing and can convince the trouble I need to keep my lovely ZX (which I love) if she can be my track car. …

I haven't done anything performance wise to my car yet it's had a zed world ecu so far. Looking at cat back exhaust and single air filter come as dual is pointless unless running high bhp. Also looking at getting interior trim kit to match car colour and new seats but don't no if I would have to modify rails. What else do you all suggest open to any ideas. Thanks Do55bag

Hi, good evening all Only just noctied this but maybe ive moved something to make this happen i do not know, on my auto box i have a switch which has Hold and Power , i dont bother with it, but what i have noticed is that when i put my foot down the power light lights up on the right of my dash, is this normal? or not? Secondly, im not sure if anyone here can help me with this, but i may as well ask, ive probably had my zed for over a year now, and although it did come with a shed load of service history and paperwork, i called zedworld seeing as that most of the work had been done there, i wanted to know if they could confirm what work had been done o…

To pass an mot I had to make my fog lights work as side lights, this itself was due to having to shave the back of my indicator / side light cluster to aid fitting of bigger intercoolers, Now I have fitted LED bulbs into the correct side light position and want to return the wiring to normal. I cannot recall what I did and no amount of cursing has helped, I need a schematic which clearly shows the wiring from the foglight to indicator and to the side light , can anybody help please, oh my car is a jap 93 auto and all the connections were the three pin type, will this now be a problem as the LED holder is a two wire type I,e live and neutral , Thanks …

Im looking at buying a waterproof car cover for the Zed, I was wondering what other people have / recommend? It will remain outside, so it needs to be fairly strong, and not feeble. Most online I see are universal fits, does these fit ok? Thanks in advance, Alex

Well for a few years now noticed oil coming from the back of the engine but very small amount, think it's the crankshaft oil seal! But noticed it's getting worse as there is oil on my garage floor as there never used to be,how bad will this get if it protist and I don't repair it? If I have to repair it is it easier enough to do?

Hi, After a major overheat from turbo water pipe last year I've been trying to confirm the head gasket has gone before I pull the engine. The engine runs well (on drive as on sorn), gets up to temperature and doesn't overheat. However there is a lot of dirty crud in water (brown deposits, almost rusty looking that float to neck of rad!) I've tried a block test but that was not conclusive, even though I dropped the water level considerable it kept sucking up coolant after 4 or 5 pumps of bulb. Stayed blue until then. I've just done a hot compression test and got the following readings: TT Manual. 1. 166 2. 159 3. 158 4. 160 5. 165 6. 16…
