Got the left side of the inlet manifold totally freed off today (bar a couple of rubber hoses).. Right side is still held on by the EGR tubes.. Only downside was that I dropped my stubby 10mm spanner down the side of the engine and can't get it back.. D'oh.. Need to buy another one so I can get the right side EGR tube out! Took the throttle body off the left side inlet.. The coolant inlet is totally blocked by a rusty/crusty deposit.. And the 'water' that dribbled out of the outlet was very very black.. which worries me a little.. Oil contamination.. Hmm that would be more creamy coloured, no? Perhaps it's just black like central heating water goes black (i.e.…

I have a very annoying vibration coming from the front end. It manifests itself at 80 mph but you drive through it at 110 mph. It is not a violent movement more a shake. I have fitted new disks and pads (Brembo grooved and Greenstuff), Replaced the tie arm bushes (uprated nylon bushes), Spanner checked the front suspension Swapped the front and rear wheels (JSpec - Same size) Checked the tyre pressures. The only thing I havent done is balance the tyres but as they are due to be replaced post Kemble Track Day I'm loathed to do this. Anyone got any other ideas - I'm at a loss. Thanks guyz - hope someone can shed some ligh…

Hey guys and Gals, A couple of quick Q's and comments for ya. Had my Toyo T1-S' on for a few days now, huge difference in road hugging ability compared to the yokahamas I had on b4. 1) Will leaving the 'Power' button on my Auto trans in the On position cause me to use alot more fuel? Anyone here with an Auto use Hold or Power much? Until 2nite I had never used it till I pulled up next to a WRX and decided it was time to give them a taste of ZX. Mines a NA auto 2+2, dunno if he let me beat him or not, but I clicked on the Auto, floored it and watched him disappear. He caught up by the next lights, didnt look pleased, Nor did his lady friend (Hmmm this could be …

Have you seen the latest Autocar magazine, where they drive down to Italy in a Countach, to test the Diablo against the new Murcielago? "At 150mph I pull the gearlever back to grab fith gear and the screaming Countach gathers yet more speed!" Sorry! It's just that I love Lambo's! The story goes as such.... i have been assesing the situation on the forum and it seems to be this.. there is no problem with anyone saying, expressing, or going on about whatever they want... BUT.. When a post starts of regarding something that is actually technical, and then degenerates into something non topic related, that is when the problem occurs. You can understand how the person who started the thread is comming back to look if any advise has been given to his or her problem, and low and behold you get to sort through all bits and bobs of some sad gits social life (see that, its called humor) So blah blah blah, try to keep topics topic rela…

Whilst some of the recent comments on the 200 forum make for interesting reading this is just fu**in' stoopid, IMHO http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001849.html Comments guyz - the 300 group can't possibly be allowed to degenerate to this level. Or is this off topic? Tim [This message has been edited by TT Tim (edited 19-10-2001).]

Got 6" component infinity perfect series in the front, 6" component infinity kapa series in the rear and a nice 6 channel amp to run this little lot and the 12" sub in the boot. Most pleased although it was a real pain to do. When is the next meet up. Havn't seen many Z's recently. Tim

Craig, I think we might need that General & Technical forum soon, Dave R has got the right arse over on the 200 board and is cracking the whip big time. Don't think it's wise publically displaying everyones I.P. though, isn't that illegal? See the thread here... Hope we never get to this point!
