Is this the real thing? Do the police use the 300zx????

Paid £35 for 45:51 litres of Optimax today thats 76.9 a litre is good or average. Having been unsure of any improvement with Optimax had a tank of norm unleaded ARRGHH glad thats gone back to the dear stuff. yum,yum Jeff TT Ps Is it available in the US ?

Since my latest upgrades have a strange noise (like when you blow down a straw type thing) from dash /bukhead area when on hard boost(approching 1 bar) I am guessing its a leak somewhere ? yeh? it sounds very much from in front of the passenger area behind the dash or may be the bulhead area,not sure I`d hear it if in engine bay, perhaps would, any idea`s as if is a leak want to sort it before rolling road day or maybe it will show up easyier then. Any suggestions? Jeff TT

when moving the Z seems to creek from somewhere. Happens when riding on bumpy roads or hitting bumps. Would you say its something as simple as the dash rubbing or something or a suspension problem. could someone please tell me whats going on here. when i brought my z it came with DIL 6171 as the plate. This was not sold with the car and I agreed that I would nominee the previous owner to the plate. now a year has passed the dvla have sent me a retention document reminder asking for £25 to keep the plate on retention or £50 for retension and giving a new nominee. can i presume that the plate is mine as the nominee did not take the oppertunity to take control of the plate? if this is correct is there anyone here who would want to buy it? having your z not year stamped can only be a good thing!! What's the quickest and easiest way to get the reflecors out of the rear lenses - read somewhere about putting in oven to remove them but seems very dangerous and messy!

Okay the Auto or Manual debatre may rage on but have you bought your 300 like me? I bought £5.5K of 300 on the basis of 3 photos and and couple of emails. (the photos being the Jap auction). I had looked at many UK cars and they were a pile of S**e. I ended up with a Jap car with 55,000 on the clock and an unknown history. Well 6,000 miles later I'm still quite happy, love the speed, nearly put myself in the ditch once and am still unsure about the colour - Bright Red! Do I sell it or do I keep it? Post your stories about how you bought your 300! Alternatively tell me why I should keep the money pit! Tim

Is there anyone in the UK that is able to supply/modify/upgrade the existing ECU on a UK Automatic TT? I understand you can send the chip to the US, however I want to avoid this. Finances are limited at the moment, so cant spend 100's of £££ on this Can anyone help?

Is it to be DOT 3 or DOT 4 or maybe even DOT 5.1. What do lads use and when you changed over did you see any imidiate difference in Clutching or braking? If you mix any off them together - can it cause problems?

Folks, I'm trying to locate a noise on the drivetrain of my car. It tends to get a little noisy at speed and I don't notice it when I pull away and it doesn't seem to be load related. I seem to remember a list of possible noises and what it could mean. Can anyone enlighten me. I've had a bearing doen thinking this was the case but it's still there. Any ideas? What happens to the two sensors, whether they be cat temp, or exhaust gas temp, that normally connect to them ? Do they just remain unconnected ? I guess the question really is, do they fail open or closed ..... I don't want the dashboad light on all the time when the cats are gone.

Hi Guys, If any of you can recommend a good auto electrician who is near NW london then please let me know. I have a constant drain on the battery and need to get it diagnosed. The drain is coming from extra gizmos the previous owner fitted and the damn things wont switch off bar removing the battery. THANKS in advance.
