Passenger side front wheel (forgive description in advance) Metal bar connecting hub area to body of car (not track rod end bit) in front of wheel. The bit that connects to chassis has rubber bush insert. This is split (only a bit). Can this be a DIY job, getting the bar off looks simple then maybe take it somewhere for the bush to be put it? Does that sound feasible? Do you have to do both sides at the same time? Can these be uprated and is this a good investment? Many thanks as always Regardz

Give the engine bay good old torching after oil change noticed oil leaking from around area of power steering pump. Not identified exact leak site yet. The levels in reservoir only needed a slight top up...but I'm of theory..small leak can = big mess. If it is the pump any ideas how? And how difficult to replace? Best way to trace leak etc? Advice sort? Regardz

After having my Zed sprayed about year ago I finally got around to doing something about the tired grey trims on it. There had been some slight overspray on some of the grey trim that goes up the windscreen and along the targa roof panels. Also the strip that goes between the targa roof was starting to blister and look a bit tired. I had been thinking over the last few weeks how best to sort this problem out. I did not want to go to the hassel of spraying them and going over them with back to black (silicon spray) just did not last long enough. What to do.... I thought that an easy way out would be to use self adhesive black vinyl ( like they use for car stickers). S…

Hi guys! I'm about to place an order with Courtesy Nissan for a complete set of NGK PFR6B-11B sparkies ($51 + shipping, VAT, etc). However, I remember seeing several posts a while back that mentioned the coil connectors breaking when replacing the spark plugs. Courtesy sells the coil connector harnass ($52 + the usual) and I was wondering if this is what I need to order. On their website it states that it comes in a pack of four - I would have thought that a Zed needs 6 coil connectors . Can someone please confirm that this is the part that I need or if this is a waste of my money. Thanks for your advice. Cheers! Danny

Help, Got my ass wipped by warren and his gang. I found my 56k modem no match for their broadband connections. Charaters were appearing in front of me, I shoot and there gone. I get shot by something I cannot see. Are there any modem tuning tips for Unreal Tournament or shall I wait a few years for Broadband to appear in Maldon? I have a 100 meg LAN at home where UT runs fine and I reign in the Eddie household. The refresh of characters is as fast the eye can see. Any tips gladly welcome. ------------------ crazyeddie.co.uk

i know it's not a z, but you guys seem to have some fairly extensive tech knowledge, and i've no clue what the hell is up... went to start my bm, and, well, it didn't. it's been sitting on the drive undriven for a bit so i though that it could be the battery, swapped it for a new one - and still nothing. well, thats the limit of my mechanical knowledge ;o( the starter motor appears to be working, as i can hear it when trying to start the car, but the engine doesn't turn over. if the starter was knackered could i expect to have seen some other symptoms? or is it possible that a cable may have popped off (please let it be this). i know it pretty vague and o.…

I'm probably not going to be able to make Le Mans next year but the initial information came through from Motor Racing International today. Those who came this year will recall that I wasn't overly happy with them but, in hindsight, it wasn't too bad and saved a lot of hassle. If anyone fancies organising it this year and would like me to post the information to them then just let me know. Alternatively, if you want to go for a cheaper option, then booking ferries / campsites direct is the way to go but more complicated. Let me know if you're volunteering - and for those who have never been - GO ! Dave

Found these links on TT Net. They give fascinating info on the subject of the different types of bulbs available, super white, blue, PIAA and HID kits and what works and what doesn't and some consumer tests. Apparently most of the super bulbs are often worse than std bulbs and even the HID kits are not always worth the money. Also a great article on how to rewire your headlamps to avoid voltage loss. Any auto electric experts out there please comment as it looks pretty good idea to me. If you are about to upgrade your headlamps, as I am, its an eye opener. http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/ http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/dalehughes/carcare-newsection/print_carcare.p…
