Leak in heater matrix. Have removed all the dash/trim fittings etc and got to the point where the heater unit is 'free' but will not pass by the A/C cooling unit. Anyone out there know if A/C unit has to come out first or is there a 'shortcut' to achieve 1" or two just to allow heater to come out? Thanks Ben

Jeff I have the headlamps off the car, and have dismantled one. In your write up you do not mention the aluminium sheet that goes around the dip beam unit. Is this the same chrome foil or something else you used? cheers

Is this what you guys call rough idle? Car once warmed is idling at very low revs. This has only started happening over the last two or so days. Its lowest is 450 and then the ecu seems to try and up the revs and so a bit at a time the revs get up to 900 but then shoots straight down again. Has anyone fitted an engine pre-heater to a Z? I have used a Kenlowe Hotstart on a couple of my previous cars including a tuned 3.5 V8 to great success. Triggered by a timer 30-40 mins before you want to use the car, the water tem is up there already, and alright the oil has to warm up but in a warm block etc. etc... I use my Z for a short run, 4mls, every morning, I'm trying not to think of the detramental effect. Any comments welcome, inc. where to interupt the water circuit. I'm doing some ECU mods/experiments and could do with a spare ECU for a '91 Auto TT. What year did the ECU change to the new type and are they the same for Auto/Manual other than the ROM?

Spoke to you guyZ about a knocking noise. Turned out it was the center bearing on the drive shaft. My local garage fitted a new one, changed the break fluid and checked the break system all for the great price of £262 including VAT. Did a great job and was chuffed to bits to work on, as he said it "a fantastic car". Is good when a mechaninc gets a little pleasure from his work. Tim

As some of you may already know, I had a Superchip fitted before I joined this forum. Obviously if I had read the comments on here first I wouldn't have touched one with a shitty stick! If I wanted to change to a JWT chip, what would I need to purchase? I already have bleed valves from the Superchips install to regulate the boost, along with Turbo Technics hybrids, HKS exhaust and de-catted centre pipes. I suppose what I'm really asking is: Can I just purchase the chip by itself? Do Superchips socket the ECU so that I can just slot a new chip in? Do I need to send my ECU off coz I can't afford to be without a working car? Cheers everyone. Mike

Hiya all I'm trying to order a new targa rubber strip, the bit that attachs to the targa roof and sits at the top of the electric window, I've been to nissan but they can't seem to find the right part on there computer, if anybody can help with this no. WANTED!!!!!!! Help! - along with frontal labotomy and winnig lotery ticket!!! Its like this guys I have a stock set of jap wheels on me 89 ZX300TT ie 225/50-16 all round but they are naf!!! SO Wot I'm lookin fur cos money is tight is a v/good set of UK spec ZX300TT wheels ie 225/50-16 front and 245/45-16 rear that I can polish up!(or just the rears alone would do) OR Alternatively has anyone got a set of aftermarket wheels in good condition ie. 17" or 18" that they wanna offload!!! Mods currently waitting to be installed JWT ECU (tuned for 98 Octane) BLITZ SBC-ID & PowerMeter Blitz Intake Triflo 2.5" pipe and quad 4.5" oval tips And something that I expect to kick some ass LEVEL-10 PTS Torque Converter [3000 Stall speed]. I have done a research on TT.net and I send some emails around and everybody told me that I should expect 05 to 1 sec drop 1/4 from the Torque Converter. This depends how well I lanch the car. Not too much mods but I guess should do the job. Everything else is stock. Then I can race that blue Turbo Porsche 2000 model on my neighbourhood If not then I sell the bitch and buy a skateboard.…
