Nov/Dec Japanese Performance magazine has a photo of the back of Johnny's Z on page 26. There's also a nice purple Veilside kitted Z on page 24. All from Trax 2001.

When I'm in 3rd gear, my gearstick moves backwards when I'm accelerating and forwards when i'm not, the movement is only about 3 mm but it is noticable, any idea's as to the cause ? I hope this doesn't mean the gearbox is on the way out! Herman

Had a set of S03's put on my Zed at the end of August and put about 3k miles on them so far. bugger me are they wearing fast! Yea I know hard acceleration/high speed driving naks them, BUT they seem to be wearing in the centre only. Im running them about 2psi lower than recommended (about 34 rather than 36). Apart from not hoofing it all the time, is it likely thatthe Hicas alignment could be at fault? I would think not as the wear is in teh centre only, I assume if the HICAS was cattled trucked that it would look like tracking wear ie one side scuffed. Comments appreciated, probably resigned to buying new rubber in the new year ......

Anybody got some info on this unit?? I believe this is to replace the Air Flow meter, and have twin air filters with no restriction. Also should give no restriction to metering of air flow, I think someone on here said there is a 451BHP max on the existing air flow meter. Leigh.

Does anyone know if all its settings stored in NVRAM/EEPROM, or battery backed RAM? Reason being is that the battery in my (immobile) (don't start Ajay! ) is dead, and has been for some time, and I wondered if when I get a new battery in there (i.e. in a few months) the alarm will have reset itself to factory defaults or not.. A new monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to help the other monks in copying the old texts by hand. He notices, however, that they are copying from copies, not the original manuscripts. So, the new monk goes to the head monk to ask him about this, pointing out that if there were an error in the first copy, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies. The head monk says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son." So, he goes down into the cellar with one of the copies to check it against the original. Hours go by and nobody sees him. So, one of the monks goes downstairs to l…

So why are there only two companies making turbos (garret and mitusbishi) ? And why do they cost so much ? It's only a bloody fan is a cast bit of metal for godsake ? Has anyone found a really cheap source for T25s ? stu

MOTORING: Clarkson's Car Years Channel: BBC2 Date: Thursday 8th November 2001 Time: 20:00 to 20:30 (starting in 1 hour and 29 minutes) Duration: 30 minutes. (How Japan Took Over the World... And Then Lost It) Jeremy Clarkson presents a series charting defining moments in motoring history. In this programme, he reveals how the Japanese car industry has boomed over the last 50 years, to the extent that the country is now producing the most advanced vehicles on the planet. But he argues that although Europe may have learned from Japan about reliability, Japan still needs to learn how to make cars with heart and soul (Subtitles, Repeat)

Crashed my 200sx today, bugger. It will put into perspective what I can have done on my 300 now. Just driving along and decided to overtake a few cars when for some bizarre reason I lost it. The car span for a while then slid onto a grass verge, hit a tree and spun a bit more then rested nicely on the verge. My head seemed to cushion most of the impact so I am ok, just lept out of the car to let all know that I was alright. Fortunatly no one else was invloved apart from the tree. Car was actually chucking out fuel so got plod & Fire Brigade on the scene asap. Plod was actually quite frindly, I was expecting the Spanish Inquisition but I told him what …

Got into a heated debate at work today about whether the Z is a supercar or not. Obviously I said that it is, but my mate said it's not 'cos it didn't cost over 100 grand or something like that. I was just wondering, what do you think the criteria is for a car to be a supercar? Cheers Rob.
