Hello all, I am about to purchase a reprogrammed ECU for my Z, and I have it down to 2 chips, the JWT ECU and the S.E chip. I was wondering how many people have the JWT/S.E chips, and how do you find each? which one produces more power/torque? has anyone had both in their car? and how do they compare? Thanks for your help, Brian.

Posted to our local 300 mailing list - FYI - I've been on a mission to make my 300 stop and I scored a set of R32 GT-R calipers with Apexi Slotted rotors. I've cooked my stock brakes so many times it's not funny so decided to up the braking power. The final setup will be Mintex 1144 for road use, Ferodo DS3000 for track use with HTX 114 fluid, stainless lines, along with a brake stopper mounted to the front right strut tower. Note I'm not rich otherwise I'd have an AP 6 pot setup with 360mm x 36mm discs.. but thats $8000NZD I don't have. ==================================== They rotors are visibly *much* bigger than the stock rotors. The stock jobs look pretty fri…

Hi guys, Just got Z back from mechanic again, he changed the oil, fuel filter, battery etc and checked the timing on the CAS, he reported that it is 15. BTC which, I gather, is what it should be. The problem is the car is still slower than usual, and is quite slow to rev up (especially up top from about 4500 up) the boost guage (crap standard one) is reading fine up to about 10psi, so I dont think that it's safety boost. How do I check the timing belt (which was replaced recently) to ensure that it's set properly? does anyone have an idea as to what else it could be? As always, thanks for all your help, Brian

Finally got the upper inlet manifold off today.. Yaaaaay! Much swearing and cursing, and slicing of fingers trying to get down to all the little rubber hoses mind you! Why, oh why, do car manufacturers insist on using those bl00dy spring clips as hose clips? Jubilee clips or petrol clamp ones would have been much.. much.. MUCH easier to get off! Shame I can't really see any split hoses Guess I'm just gonna have to replace them all and hope for the best.. Oh and retrieve the 10mm spanner & throttle body bolt that disappeared down the left side of the engine.... Now to order all the hose I need.. anyone know what dia the small coolant hoses are? …

One for the hardware anoraks The onboard sound on my Gigabyte board packed up. I have disabled it with the jumper and installed a new soundcard which works fine. Now whenever i start a game which uses my voodoo card the computer just freezes and has to be turned off. If I remove the soundcard the games run ok. I have tried reloading the drivers and the games but no joy I have also tried the soundcard in 3 different pci slots and it makes no differance. also windows reports no conflicts on either device. People here in America ofter regard Europeans as "rude" and unpleasant, I beg to differ, I was reading posts here and I see just the opposite, people are nicer, I am a menber of an americam forum and people there sometimes are sarcastic and ther's no real "brotherhood" between us Z lovers, here in this forum I saw one person willing to pay for a part for someone in the forum who's not quite ready for the cost yet and offered to get paid back after a year, my hats off to you!! Went to Harrys this afternoon to get some adapter plugs for me CD player and looked into the car park and thought "Stuff that!" so parked in Bravo & Quebec car park instead...LMAO I have a habit of going way to far into any parking space and did this as usual, got out of the car saw the couple of feet off the white line at the back of the car and thought I'd better check the front! Especially seeing as there was a sheer sloap right in front of the car with stones and boulders on the kerb. Got round to the front, stuck me bonce right down and Shhhhiiiitttttt...Fuuuccckkkkk! 2 standard ZX rims (excellent condition) with brand new Michelin Pilot rubber (less than 1k miles) for sale. Need to get rid of them as I haven't got space to store them. Rubber alone has cost me £150. Will sacrifice for £100 for the lot. Call me (07044016586), e-mail me (dannyzaat@yahoo.co.uk) or send smoke signals. Danny
