Hi ya. Lil bit o help needed. Just bought a set of goodridge stainless brake hoses, went to fit them today and they have got different thread on one end. Anyone else fitted these and had problems. Just wandering if it is another difference between jap and english or have the shop given me the wrong ones. Help grateful. pAul.

Just took z to my local gararge parked it posted the key and left the pissing thing.Evry now and then the car will lose power know matter what the throtel posision is then cut out,after waiting a few minuets it will start and drive again maybe for miles or maybe for 10 yards Last week a new ignition modular was fitted so now i am stuck as what it is.If ican have a few ideas i can relay this to the gararge,thus save a couple of quid in man hours trying to work it out.thanks

Whys this: I overtook some plank on a bumpy road, pulling after the overtake (@about 45/second gear/high revs) the back wheels hit a bump and I aint kidding they must have left the road and bounced into the air a couple of inchs and bounced the back end of my car right out of line!!?? Huh? .... my car is lowered and on 18's.. and i had a bit of weight in the back of the car... is this a handling characteristic (the car always 'wibbles' at the back very slightly from side to side over bumps)? Rear shock prob??.. am really getting towards the idea of sellin this car as it does NOT like the isle of wight roads ------------------ Glen :)

The story goes.... Alarm sounds repeatedly over night...look out of window..no visual signs its my alarm..alarm sounds again...go outside give next door neighbour "dirty sort your shite alarm out" look...back to bed. Alarm sounds decide to fill neighbour in ..walk past my car...ollocks...my alarm!!!! Alarm has own battery..cant switch off for some reason eventually stops... no obvious reasons for battery flattening and then tripping alarm.. What current ish should be drawn from battery when ignition off..how do i check I dont have a short on the battery etc? + any other suggestions would be welcome... As always..many thanks.. Regardz

Help... Small crack in rim of wheel...tyre deflates after approx 24 hrs.. Anybody know of repairers in Leigh,Wigan,Bolton..or if I have to Manchester..areas... Regardz

Hey guys, I hope I have the right forum and the right people... I remember reading this somewhere and I *think* it was here Anyway, it's in regards to Z's blowing smoke after gutting cats and the like... something to do with turbo seals and back pressure. I remember that there was some discussion on the cause, and better still, some discussion on the cure! Quite a few guys at aus300zx.com (yours truly included) have had this problem. So how does one solve it? Also, is this an indication of turbos being on their last legs, or does the fix pretty much bring things to as they should be and nothing to worry bout? Went down to AZ yesterday mornign, and we managed to change both my rear shox in a very efficient time my car is now tracking staright and goes over bumps perfectly i am well chuffed, it handles so nicly i guess as the shocks wear you sort of get used to the handeling...... Oh and we sorted my lights out aswell Would have helped if i had tred to do it with the right bulbs to start with

My dream Japanese car would be a Honda NSX, but as they are too expensive, would a Twin Turbo 300ZX be a good alternative.How does it compare on performance?

Just to let you know...when I moved house recently, they asked me if I access the Internet...strangely enough I'm now logging on at 36000bps, before I would only connect at 26400! LARGE! Evening one and all! Just thought I'd share with you the transformation that the engine bay of my Zed has just gone through. Got the gorgeous stainless steel boostpipes from Smithy (many thanks mate - fab workmanship) and eventhough they weren't as easy to fit as advertised the result is worth all the sweat, blood and foul language! Have a look at the "before" and "after" shots: Looks the dogs danglies me thinks ... Also found that the little vacuum pipe that attaches onto the bottom of the passenger side throttle body was disconnected. Seems to have calmed my rough idle as well as seemingly cured the heavy detonation sounds I was hearing. However…

Ok, so I'm 31 going on 17, bought FC this month(mainly for Nell McAndrew) and they took some pics at TRAX!!! Wot no ZX's??? But they did show the P1 and the Porker that got it's bacon joint well and truly burnt!!! ROFL!! If that had been me....I'd have been crying! Not for the squeamish.

Returning from KFC tonight having returned my order because they got it wrong again! Just about to pass a BMW 328i on the dual carriageway and he speeds up,I drop down to third, floor it and blast him into my rear view mirror. Traffic lights are on red, stop side by side revving for the launch, one light, two lights Three lights GO GO GO GO,I kill him in 1st, lose him in 2nd,totally lost him in 3rd, brake hard for next set of lights, BMW eventually arrives, sit there laughing and grinning at each other, i cannot believe the bastard wants more! The lights changed to green and i did it all over again, wouldn`t mind but i was supposed to tur…

Hi folks, My anntena has died on me. The motor works but the aerial doesn't go up (oooooh eeeerrrrr). I've managed to completely disconnect the antenna and motor from the car except for a plastic pipe which is connected to the car's underside. The antenna won't disconnect from the motor housing neither. WTF? I've no idea what the clear plastic pipe is and whether I should/can disconnect it. Any ideas will be appreciated 'cause I'm stumped. Until then my Z is manual.....aerial that is LOL. Oh, my Z is a '91 UK TT Auto if this helps. Cheerz, Van
