Could anyone of you wonderful chaps out there tell me what the hell HICAS means and why my HICAS light comes on when I do a high speed run and stays on until I switch off the ignition. Then it stays off untill I get high speed run and so on! Any help would be would be gratefully appreciated!!!!!

Lads, I have noticed that my "new to me" Z is loosing pressure in each tyre on a daily basis. I know wheel should not do this but have any of you guys experienced this? Is it a typical Z wheel thing?

I'm trying to get hold of a 12 volt 21 watt red bulb (like the amber indicator bulbs you can get but red). It's to fit in a reversing light so that the reverse light can be used as a fog light. I've only tried one place so far and they've told me that there's no such thing. Can anyone tell me that they're wrong ? Thanks, Dave

Hiya Zster's Just had my car back from the garage, the've fitted a full set of new poly bushings as most of the old ones where knakered. It took the garage 28 hrs to do as they said they had to drop all the rear and front sub frames, is that normal for this kind of job??? Just wondering as it seems a long time to do this or am I just being paranoid?? I must say that the car feel and steers a lot better now I've got the new bushes, and my bank account is a lot lighter I have also noticed that I have a noise coming from my front o/s wheel when i turn to the right,any ideas??? This morning on my way to work I noticed that when I accelerated hard from a standstill I heard and felt a knocking from the back end of the car. It doesn't do it when already cruising just from a stand still. What could this be? Drive shaft? Any ideas pleaZe. Tim

No, no, don't panic it's not the manual / auto debate yet again. My gearbox has started to make some noise when in Second, does this mean it's wearing out ? It still goes into gear smoothly, but there is a constant noise (I can't describe it) If it is the gearbox, how much can I expect to pay for a recon / new unit ? Thanks in advance. Herman

Just a quickie is the exhaust from the cats back balanced i.e joined together. Can I replace the box that joins the two pipes after the cats??

Got the left side of the inlet manifold totally freed off today (bar a couple of rubber hoses).. Right side is still held on by the EGR tubes.. Only downside was that I dropped my stubby 10mm spanner down the side of the engine and can't get it back.. D'oh.. Need to buy another one so I can get the right side EGR tube out! Took the throttle body off the left side inlet.. The coolant inlet is totally blocked by a rusty/crusty deposit.. And the 'water' that dribbled out of the outlet was very very black.. which worries me a little.. Oil contamination.. Hmm that would be more creamy coloured, no? Perhaps it's just black like central heating water goes black (i.e.…

I have a very annoying vibration coming from the front end. It manifests itself at 80 mph but you drive through it at 110 mph. It is not a violent movement more a shake. I have fitted new disks and pads (Brembo grooved and Greenstuff), Replaced the tie arm bushes (uprated nylon bushes), Spanner checked the front suspension Swapped the front and rear wheels (JSpec - Same size) Checked the tyre pressures. The only thing I havent done is balance the tyres but as they are due to be replaced post Kemble Track Day I'm loathed to do this. Anyone got any other ideas - I'm at a loss. I have just bought a new jap turbo z. i was wonderin if anyone had any ideas of the best thing to do with regards to changin the speedo. do i just buy a sticker from somewhere or what.
