Has anyone out there ever changed the main bearings on a manual box? I think mine are shagged because there's a grinding noise at low revs in every gear whilst powering up. I'm just wondering if it's something I could do & if so, how expensive are they? Also I need a thrust bearing too!

Hi peeps, Just 2 let u know that i've updated my rides section with new pics. Its all on the road now and am well pleased with it. The amount of attention the car generates is madness!!!, with the most common reaction being "wot the fcuk is that man??!!!". Cant help smilin myself sometimes! - lol!. Here's the deal I wanted to get indiglo gauges for my Z, however, as you probably know, there ARE differences between the JPN / US (NA and TT) / and Euro set of gauges... Besides the US Spec NA & TT, nothing is comercially available. So I stated to look around... I would find a way to PRINT faces on transparent film (so basically I can create whatever layout I want, including Custom Jobs) i.e. Speedo up to 300 km/h .. [place permitting] Speedo up 200 mph [place permitting] Speedo in MPH only Speedo in Km/h Only Speedo in MPH (main scale) Km/h (secondary scale) And that would work for TT (160 mph in the US)and NA faces (140 mph) …

Christ, scrapped all the ice of the windows this morning, pulled off when down the road, and there was an almighty crack/bang**..//!! It came from the roof/T-bar. Stopped the car to expect a brick has landed on top and cracked my t-top to kingdom kum, but nothing can only assume it's the ice that welds the seals together, anyone else had this problem, I think I'll coat the seals in grease to prevent them from doing this over the winter period!!!!!!! Just registered with this forum, had my 300 for about 8months now and I love it. Decided to treat myself (mid life crisis people say, so what! I say). It's an Auto import, in great condition 45000miles (so it says) engine sounds and runs silky smooth. Hoping to learn more about the model and keep it up to scratch with the help of you guys on this forum LOCKY

What does this do??? Ive had a uk manual and i now have an auto (also uk) just wondered what the switch does as i dont have it and is it just on the jap imports??????????

i have a 91 h zed in yellow. it has leather and everything but for some reason it doesent have elctric folding mirrors!!! My prvious one did though (both uk cars) Any ideas??????????????

Man, these insurance companies are real iceholes.And they say they're losing money on car insurance. Well they ain't losing money from me!! The difference between a jap and Uk spec car is pretty minimal, & if you then bear in mind the mods we do, and that we do not really care if it's a uk spec or a jap spec part i can't see what the problems is. So i'm thinking about either organising a special insurance scheme for us jap Z's or buying a Uk spec car and swopping the VIN, though I have not figured out what to do about the bulkead VIN stamp. Bought a 91 300 import about 8 months ago (mid life crisis I'm told, but who cares) and I absolutely love it. It's in great nick and the motor is smooth and rattle free. However the car has developed a vibration which I can feel through the seat, which comes in at about 60mph. It is not affected by engine revs. I'm thinking drive/prop shaft joints or dare I say it differential. Any ideas/tips The car has clocked 45000miles, has 4 new tyres and the wheels have been balanced twice
