Hi, does anyone know if there is supposed to be a bearing between the input shaft on a manual box & the crank because it looks like the input shaft just sits into the crank with no bearing which I find rather strange. My car is making a a squealing noise which I put down to the thrust bearing but now I've found that there is quite a bit of play in the input shaft, is this normal? I'm confused by it all!!!! Any advice would be welcome. Cheers, Shaun

It might be my imagination but I feel my Z is shimmying slightly from side to side as tho there's some lateral movement in the suspension somewhere. My tyres are a bit worn so it might be that. Suspension is newish. Could this also be a bush problem?

Seeing as the other forum is knackered suppose I'll have to post something techy... U joints? Nico mentioned that if they go you have to goto a single prop. Why? Where are the U joints/brackets??? I read on carsurvey.org about a guy who had this problem, he mentioned that he'd been trying to get Nelson to sort and eventually after threatening them with legal action via Nelson UK they sorted his U joint/bracket problem out free of charge! Check out this link to see what I'm on about... He mentions a factory fault aswell, very interesting!!!

Folks, who has driven a Skyline GTR33 Vspec and compared it to their Zed?? I would be most interested in opinions on this... I've been lurking over at gtr.co.uk and frankly cant make head nor tail of any of it LOL... Seems a common complaint on the GTR is tram-lining and insurance!! ive been quoted £1500 to insure a GTR R33 fully-comp with zero NCD, same as the Zed and am trying to talk meself out of buying one! Anyways .. keep it sideways.. ------------------ Glen :)

Folks, It is my theory 'average condition' Zeds are falling rapidly in price and getting affordable to the plebs as Supra mk3's did a few years ago (no dissrespect Tim )...it therefore follows that more and more of these cars are falling into un-appreciating hands and ending up fooked.. Obviously these prices have a knock-on effect on the prices sought by owners of decent cars who are selling (along with the import situation).. but I reckon that as more and more Z32's get wasted the price of well-looked after examples will actually rise as the bad ones die and end up scrapped (they are getting on abit now!) - there will be a point that the resale value will go so low tha…

Sorry for using the 300ZX forum like my local dixons help desk but if any techys out there can help me I'd be muchos grateful. Got home to find that the BT man had been and gone and left me the BT Highway thingy. Those tight ar**S at BT didn't even leave me a manual. Well I found the on-line one which may as well have been In Japanese. Now the thing is.. I've connected, you read this huh... good. But I did have a bit of bother, so much for plug and play that was lapelled on my CD Rom that came with it. I eventually got it working by making a New Internet connection and putting my freeserve dial up info , ie dial up number. and username and passwor…

Just let me know asap what colours, style e.g. croc or snake or smooth finish etc. These are top quality, not to be confused with cheap replica bags and these bags can really pack a clout! LOL So come on, any of these bags w…

I would just like to say a big respect to AndyP for repairing my clock. Since I have had my car for 2 years and never had a clock I now finally have one I can see in the dark. This has got to be the best £10 I have spent on this bloomin car. Cheers mate. Paul.

my engine... That got you all gong, you thought I was gonna post something interesting, didn't you... Looks ... bare .. doesn't it You wouldn't believe how much swearing it's taken to get it this far! The only thing those pics don't show very well is just how much oil is plastered all over the front of the engine/alt/ps pump etc etc.. it's *everywhere*. Looks like it was coming from the crank seal, so it's a good job I'm replacing that - so long as the mating surfaces aren't scored of course.. Hi, I know the original group buy fell through and there is another group buy on route. Is anyone else still interested in the AGX option before I contact someone about prices? Jez.

Yes came back to my car today in the car park where I have to pay £2 a day. I always check my car when I get to it now. First I see finger marks in the dirt on the door, get closer and the fuckers have tried to take the lock out. Dont know if the lock is broken or what but the surroundings of the handle is broken and the door skin around the handle is bent and scratched. My dad says that because I pay to enter the car park that I claim off them. Is this true? Also where can I get an estimate to get it fixed. I dont want some one to estimate patching it up. I want it to look good as new. Does Johnny do that sort of stuff? CheerZ Pissed off Stuart …
