Hi Tim,

Welcome to the best forum on the planet and the weird and wonderful world of Zed ownership!

Where abouts are you based? I'm in the Midlands - Birmingham together with JeffTT, Matty and Deano.

As for your oil leak - are you certain it is engine oil and not for example power steering fluid? Leaks like these are very difficult to diagnose over the internet and would require a closer inspection in person. Our Zeds are quite prone to hose deterioration because of the extremely hight temps that the engine generates. Fuel leaks are especially common (particularly when it gets colder like these days). Best thing I can advice you to do right now is to tighter every jubilie clip you can see. Also, take a look at your powersteering reservoir and the hoses leading of it. It is very common for the main hose to leak at the clamp - nearly all our Zeds suffer from that - and that will leave a few drops of oil on the drive once in a while.

Sorry I can't be of more help to you at the moment but I'd really have to have a look at your car to help you further. I don't know if you are in or near the midlands but there is a meet organized for the 22nd of this month in Solihull (near the NEC in Birmingham). Perhaps you could make it there and we could have a look.

Again, welcome to the forum mate!

Try gettin under and see if any is coming from the oil lines to your nearside turbo? Had that on mine a while ago - slack connection - easy fix.

Class another Nottingham boy !

Yeah chances are that if it is Oil and it is Coming from the Nearside - Not rite at the back of the engine tho. It could well be the Turbo Oil Lines. Only problem with that would be if it is the block side of the line then the banjo bolt for that is behind that AC compressor brackes - to get to it you must remove the AC compressor - not too easy !

Get if fixed ASAP - You dont want Oil Starvation to the turbos unless you are in the market for new ones !

what if the oil is from the back of the engine... ?

Not sure on Zs but could be a bad sign as in rear crank oil seal. Could mean long term mess though might not get much worse. Keep a close eye on your dipstick!
