hello folks new member here... had my Z just a week and loving it... (so far) catch you laters...

i ve noticed a slight oli leak from the engine ( few drips on the drive )near side... any idears any one ? its only just happened ?mostly when the car has been on a good run. the cars done about 59,000 miles...

Im looking at putting a new set of alloys on the Zed soon. The fitments available are: 8 x 18 or 10 x 18. Will i be able to get 10 x 18 all round? Or will have to get the smaller fitment at the front.... Im also looking to lower the car at the same time by approx 30-40mm all round. Cheerz

Got this buzzing noise on all the time when driving or idle or whatever. I *think* its the fuel pump but cant be sure. It does it for a second or 2 when u switch the ignition on b4 starting then stays on all the time and goes off about 2 seconds after u switch the engine off. It normal? What do you reckon it is?

When you pull away, it only happens when pulling away the first time off the drive btw. Anyway there is a wierd noise, its an electric motor sound for about 3/4 of a second coming from the back (drivers side I think). Any ideas what it is? Is it normal? Right we're suffering the old problem of the onnet catch squeaking like a bird on drugs (thats a flying bird dont let ur imagination run away with ya ). Anyway Az told me I should grease up the catch and the U bolt. So what should I do it with? Tell me a specific product to use.

right the HICAS light is driving us all crazy now and its time to do something about it so what to put in there? Dont know whats currently in it. I heard Dexron III ATF, would it be ok to just add some of that into whatever is allready in there?

....however I recently received an invoice for a 300ZX part as a WKS file. I think this is M/S Works? But how can I open this - I have Office (professional, etc....). Thanks, Geoff

I got some clear side repeaters but the bulb holder is not the same,where the holder pushes and twists into the back of the lense,there are two lugs on it and my car has three .Anyone elsehad this problem? CheerZ MAC. ------------------

Im sure someone said something about DOT 5 synthetic can damage the rubber seals in the calipers so what is best to use. Is that castrol response Dot 4 any good? Paul

Not sure if this is a common thing, or only related to my Zed... Occasionaly, (usually when the car is cold) whilst accelerating, if i am to take the foot of the accelerator, i get a small judder/vibration from the car. This seems to only happen in 2nd/3rd gear (UK Spec Auto). Any ideas? Anything to worry about? CheerZ

Sorry to post this in the general forum and the tech forum guys but I really need some thoughts or advice on the following. My Zed Has developed a big problem. The car seems to be retarding the ignition and running safety boost. Also when I turn the ignition on the little fan infront of the main fan is on constantly. I have tried to do an ECU diag test but the LED light is just constantly on!!!!!!. I have tried to clean and wiggle the Temp sensor to see if this sort the fan out but no luck. I am really at a loss here and would be very grateful guys for any help or advice as to what I should be looking for to sort this out. Cheerz Simon H

The koni shox have arrived from the group buy It turns out that the rears are actually adjustable rate too - they just have to be removed to adjust them... I think that this is not a problem cos once you have the desired rate, you just adjust the fronts to change the oversteer/understeer characteristics of the car. Any questions??? Ask away.... OK. I've had it with these damn things. I disconnected the injectors for cylinders 1-4 yesterday, cleaned them (as best I could) and reconnected. Now it's even rougher that before! Has anyone ever replaced the connectors on their car? Is it possible/wise to directly solder the wires to the injectors? Are new connectors available anywhere? How much is a new wiring harness?! Ta. JC
