Who gives a f**K!!!!!!!!

No froggy shitmobile could keep up with a zed!!

being chased by a renault four !! ha ha ha, think I will be down the pub and P****d before the rest turn up in the diesel audi.......or lost maybe, or maybe still wheel spinning on the snow - does anyone know about putting chains on these cars ?

I *think*, I could be wrong, that you can't put chains on alloys, only steelies..

Could be wrong, like I say...

the chains thing is in the manual. And the speed limit is on the signs wink.gif

130kph or 110kph when it's raining as far as I remember.

We drove back from holiday in the Dordogne this summer to Calais at 95mph+ (120mph+ between some toll booths) all the way. We had no problems, so my recommendation is to take no notice of the speed limit. biggrin.gif

You've been a very lucky boy Dave. Throughout most of France's "Route Payage" or toll roads, the distance between any two toll posts are known and the machine automatically detects from the time stamps how fast you've been going between the two. If it shows that you've arrived too early at the next toll post, i.e., due to excessive speed, the amount of toll is increased in the form of a penalty payment (or fine). Again, this may be enforced only along certain stretches of toll roads.

On a whole, the max speed limit is 130kph in France and 120kph in the Benelux countries.

waheey ! Thats what I'm lookin for, time to lose that delimiter I think !

Danny, we looked into that before we went and as far as we could work out, that's an urban myth. It seems that if you get caught speeding the police tend to stop you at the toll booths as you've got no chance of getting away, but the stories about automatic fines don't seem to be true.

maybe I'll lose the limiter instead, I think that would be more sensible, whats the point in paying for a delimiter just to go and lose it ??

130 km/h

110 km/h when the road is humid (rain)

you can more or less safely go +30 km/h.

If you go higher than +50, it's a crime, they can legally SEIZE the car, and you may face IMMEDIATE jail time.

There is NO SUCH THING as being timed between two toll booth...but the police JUST LOVE to put speed traps before them.

It's true that you may be able to outrun a R4 / 205 / 306 or 309....but you WILL NOT be able to outrun radio waves...and BWT, the french police have and use unmarked Alpines, Safrane (Twin Turbo) and porsches...and they're using Helicopters as well

From my recollection of the 300zx.co.uk trip to Le Mans, dual carriageways in the dry have a limit of 153 mph and single carriageways are 142 mph. In the wet you must go 2 mph slower.

The only exception is if you are Andy I in which case you must not exceed 37 mph on single carriageways wink.gif

Dave

i have to confer with my hairy. wink.gif

And speed limit on mulssain straight which is a french public road happens to be 220+mph biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif HOOLIGANS!!! biggrin.gif

37mph on single carriageway? More like 5mph. Bloody trucks, tractors, level crossings etc etc biggrin.gif

And you only did 153mph in the dry? biggrin.gif
