Being a newbie, can anyone take the time to explain how the power/hold function works on my car - I have had freinds trying to help with with this and the advise i have had is confusing to say the least. Thanks PS If the webmaster is reading, please advise how I can make a contributary payment to the club, as I find the information I have recieved to be invaluable. Thanks Winnie.

Don't worry I did a topic search first. I have a 91 JSPEC. As you already know it uses H3C bulbs. My question, will any other bulb fit without having to attach more wires to an H3? Iam having a hell of a time finding H3C bulbs in Germany and my driverside (passenger side for me) is out. The German Polizei love handing out tickets for this......Mike

Something funny happening today When engine cold on startup but foot on accelerator and the revs drop to nearly 0 before coming back and increasing. Nearly caused me to crash this morning on roundabout. Saw gap on roundabout. But the boot down to go. The revs dropped instead of increasing car nearly cut out , and took approx 2 secs to recover. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted the above about a month, ago. I have changed air filter, fuel filter and cleaned throttle bodies. Still no luck. Someone mentioned it could be an airleak. How do I find this?? On a main junction yesterday I went to turn left. Revs d…

I still need the clock though. Let me know how much the postage was for it. We agreed the price of clock to be £30 whole English quids Chris:)

Hi all, This is my first time writing in. I'm currently looking to buy a 300zx TT and was looking for a few bits of advice. 1. There are shedloads of imports but not many uk models, apart from insurance (which looking at some of the msgs here isnt as bad as i first thought!!)are there any other costs/problems that would be more than the std uk model? 2. I dunno if its a London thing but prices seem to vary a hell of a lot! G-reg 89/90 tt's from £3500 to £7000!! Is it best to go for as late a model as poss or a VGC older one?? I'm likely to think of some more at some point but any help would be appreciated! Cheers! Quilly!

Ok i've found and am about to buy a lovely import Fairlady,it's in very good condition both bodywork, engine and interior. It has 44k on the clock and is a non turbo manual. It doesn't have cruise control but has all the other extras, electric seats, windows mirrors etc.Very nice cloth interior. The only thing i don't like is the exhaust. It has one of those huge single pipes both sides but i'd much prefer the standard ones.Does anyone want to swap or do they have them for their standard pipes or do they have them for sale? The other thing is i have a very nice TV in the car but unfortunately it only works in Japan (NTSC) does anyone have a spare tuner or …

Nothing to do with 'Z's this one but I 'm after an A bar(bullbar type thingy) for a Misubishi Shogun. Has anyone got any contacts with the 4x4 fraternity or know of anywhere that I can get one for a reasonable price? Cheers, F.T.

I have just replaced my front discs cos they were shot away....and they were causing a "pulsing" through the pedal. I have allowed time for the discs and pads to unite....but occasionally they still "judder". Would this be the front torsion bar type thingies?....as in the bushes need replacing? Anyone any ideas? Chris:confused:

There's a car on there I'm thinking of importing - 1990, manual, silver (gay colour but never mind.. :D), no registered mileage so it could have been to the moon and back but, it's a manual, and I'd have spares from t'other car.. The car is Y220,000, which is about £1200, and shipping looks like about another £800, but has anyone used this company before? (http://www.tau-net.co.jp) Presumably it turns up at the docks, I take it off, get it trailered somewhere, MOT, send everything to the DVLA with some cash and then insure it..?

Not much of an achievement but I thought it was funny enough to share. At a set of lights with the mrs. A Nova GTE with 2 spotty oinks and their snatch in the back pulled up next to me at the lights. I couldn't believe it when they started revving the engine and then when the mrs told me they were looking over at the car sizing it up, I p*ssed myself laughing. Anyway I let them pull away on Amba with their "jumbo jet" exhaust and wide wheel arches with extra low profile tyres on split rims which looked like they cost three times more than the car itself. I decided to press the green launch button on my traction control and hit the gas, While the revs were bo…

and my clutch will let go ! Gets to about 4 1/2 thousand revs and slips. Does anyone know of anyplace in Kent where I can get a new clutch fitted ? I've promised myself never to use a Nissan dealer again but I seem limited for choice down here. Also what's the best replacement clutch ? I'm running about 400 bhp. Will a stock one suffice or should I get a better one ? RPS ? Regards

Posted recently about the problem I had with my auto being stuck in 1st gear. Disconnected the battery for a few days as it had gone flat. Jumped the car tonight and it's sorted itself out. For those that may not know, disconnecting the battery for more than about 30 mins resets the ECU. Whether or not that was what had got its knickers in a twist I will never know but it's sorted, which is the main thing.

Folks, I'm having some MAJOR stress trying to get a decent quote on a jap import TT. For a 27 year old, with 3 years NCB, 1 theft claim, I'm being quoted almost a grand on the dot....and this is for TPF&T! Can anyone point me to someone who won't commit day time, legal robbery, and instead will give me a reasonable quote??? Andy D, why oh why did you decide to put your car up for grabs. It's causing me nothing but stress and sleepless nights!

I was just about to post a sneery manual vs auto comment in that thread over there when I got a problem with my clutch. Oops. Can you ever forgive me. Anyhoo the problem is that (and has been for three and a bit years) the bite point on the clutch pedal occasionally changes. Not gradually, just suddenly it moves a couple of inches down the pedal travel. Still works fine and everything. Then some time later (could be days or minutes), there's a change in the feeling of the pedal and the clutch bite is backwhere it was. Today it happened again - and the bite point was suddenly about half an inch above the pedal so the clutch never fully disengaged. Would drive ar…

hello. Just bought jap import 300zx. Got mental two deck expensive looking kenwood cd and graphic thing goin' on up front, but sounds REALLY pants!! Had a poke around & although mechanically retarded, found tiny miniscule stock speakers in boot, and after reading how to take off door skin, gave up hunting for front ones, although by the sound kicking out of them, possible from old alarm clock!! Want to keep head units, but need advice from all you seasoned owners out there what the best set up is. No worries going out buying the stuff and fitting, but releucant to give to any high street monkey to be ripped off. 'Bob' is mentioned often within this site,…
