Sweeeet looking silver 2+2, with twin-scooped front panel, parked across the central reservation of the ring road, on the section between the A52 roundabout & Rayleigh island, 10:15 this morning :) Looked for a driver as I trundled past, but couldn't see anyone :/ It's on my regular route to work, but I've not seen this Zed before... quite exciting, then :) But it put my stock red Zed to shame :'(

I've got a J spec Z with standard wheels which are the same size in all 4 corners.Does the UK model come with different size standard wheels?I saw somewhere that the rear wheels are bigger, why do the Jap and UK models differ if that is the case? Also if I wanted to put aftermarket alloys on my car, could I put wider wheels on the back or can I only do that with a UK spec car. I think wider rear wheels are going to give much better grip, especially when the back ends are prone to slidding! Cheers, F.T.

Was down at Jeffs last week and tentatively asked about a chip upgrade. "no probs" says Jeff, "instant 70BHP increase in power". After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I wondered if there are any deleterious effects from the engine suddeny having almost a quarter as much power again as it had before. I have a large bore exhaust (catted) and am about to fit a blitz induction kit. This is most probably fairly standard stuff for a lot of you but it will be the first time I`ve had a mod like this on a car.......worth it? good for the car or bad?

Can anyone help? I have a vibrating propshaft centre bearing that is need of replacement shortly. Working for a Bearing and Transmission company that also reverse engineer bearings etc. (tut tut) I may be able to offer a substantial saving on obtaining these bearings. Has anyone out there got an old bearing that they don't mind me having a look at to obtain. It may be that this has already been done, if so please advise. Obviously the savings will be passed on if found Regards Steve

John..I have read your post about your accident mate...sorry to hear about the Zed...Glad u r ok though. I think the service you are looking for is something called the BMI..or something like that...It protects u against an un-insured party. Your insurance compnay should be able to put you in touch with them. Beats making a claim on YOUR insurance and having sky high premiums for next year. Also in closing....I would personally have injured a few more of the tossers myself...with a nice hard baseball bat. Chris:mad:

Chaps and Chapetts, Some how I've managed to allow some cretin to change the properties on my IE. EVERY time I am unable to locate a valid URL a load of popups appear, where before I would just get a default "can't find the requested URL" page. Does anyone know how to remove it? I'm about to put a hammer to my PC! Cheers, Andy

I have a strange problem with my Zed. It has always behaved impecably but on my last couple of trips I have had a niggling problem: The car stars and runs beautifully, from cold. Runs fine on journey, both M/Way and A roads, no lack of performance or pinking/detting. With the car warm, I stopped for fuel, when I started the car it fired fine but the idle was stumbeling all over the place, the car stalled as soon as I tried to move. After 5-6 restarts it seems to rectify itself and idle returns to 750-800 and all is fine. It may be unrelated but I haven't been driving the Zed as much as I used to over the past 2 months, as I've bought a run ab…

I was wondering if any of you hordes (that's a kind collective noun!) of IT guys could give me any advice? I fitted a 'plug and play' Belkin USB card....well, guess what? I plugged and it doesn't play! The installation disc doesn't seem to run....if I use 'install hardware' on Windows '98 it doesn't recognise that it is there...oh, and my A drive has stopped working since I fitted the card. Any suggestions??

Gotta say something about all this 0-60 hokum. Am I right or do I need advising? I have owned a 200sx S13 and S14 before I plumped for the Zed and although the 0-60 times are in the same league, the general performance cannot be sanely compared. 0-60 means toss on the roads as there are very few occaisions when cars are placed side by side with engines raring to go. Even if they were, the very slim difference between say the Zed and the M3 amount to even a useable car length`s difference. In my opinion, it is the torque and power of the car to overtake when at normal driving speed that makes all the difference. The Zed has this power in endless abundance. Let`s…

How's the best way to test my suspention? I have noticed over time that my car is starting to feel the bumps more and more to the point that its getting uncomfortable to just drive down a normal street. I know tyres are can contribute, but my tyre pressures are all correct and its been doing it for a while before I changed my tyres. Whats the best way to test the suspention. I have leaned on the back of the car while its stationary, it moved but not much and I cant remember how much it moved when I first go it and the ride was alot softer. Help please. Stuart

Do any of you guys know any reputable garages that do work under WHA (Warranty Holdings ....) warranties. I got one of these when I bought the car and don't want to take it back to the garage where I bought it from. Any of you guys use a good company that supports this company's warranties?

Hi all, I've been a regular reader of this forum for some months now, with an eye on getting a 300zx early next year. I'm located in Southend, Essex, and I was wondering whether there are any zed specialists within the south-Essex area, so that I know that when (not if ;)) something is up with my zed then help would be at hand. I've seen a few tasty zeds around Southend and Basildon so there must be support around there somewhere, I guess, but I dunno where. The nearest Nissan dealer is on Southend - called Toomey I think - but I'll want to avoid dealers if possible. Any help appreciated muchly!

Chris C, you were you in the vicinity of Stamford Street, London SE1 earlier today. A stunning blue zed, M reg, with very very similar wheels to yours was cruising along at about 9:45am.
