The lights on the electric windows buttons and on the /\ and \/ on the AC controler are they meant to be lit up? I know the window is but only the /\ of the drivers button is lit up. How can I get them lit up again? Is there a bulb inside the window and AC console? Stuart

Anybody ever used aerosol touch up paint on a red zed. I did and while I got a good finish I can see the colour is not a perfect match. Is it crap touch up paint from Halfords or has me car faded? The original finish on my car looks superb and nice and bright in the sunshine. Under streetlights the front bumper can a look slightly different shade and of course my small repair. Any pigment guru's out there?

Mike at MJP has made me up a set of springs for my Z. I haven't received them yet but since higher limit on credit card am now going for a complete set of shocks and springs, so this set is for sale, I've gone for 35mm drop and 20% uprated. Nearly forgot, £75. If you want them I'm sure I could get MJP to send them direct to you.

Hello all ! I've a 95 300ZX NA - US Model that I've brought back to France. Last week, I broke the alternator and NISSAN Europe say that they don't have this reference available. Can someone tell me : 1) if this part (300ZX NA) is the same as on the 300ZX TT (French) ? 2) where i can order the correct part if different (UK, US, etc...) ? Thanks a lot. Patrick patrick.grellier@verlina.com PS: it cannot be rebuilt !

After a very very very long search for a good zed at a good price I've finally come across one...BUT, it's in graphite grey! I've seen a picture of this car (and other standard graphite zeds) and it looks like an extremely boring and dull colour. Does anyone out there have a graphite grey zed who can prove to me just how good this colour can look? Ideally I would love a black zed... even more ideally, I would love Andy D's black zed. But, good black zed's are hard to come by (in fact, any good zed is hard to come by at the price I want to spend!) And, I can't afford Andy D's zed.

Okay, I've been reccomended this company, it's probably okay. But I wanted to see if anyone else had been there. I've had enough of getting my car back with bits hanging off, bits not tightened up correctly, bad jobs, dents from ramps or being charged more than quoted... etc etc...

Hi, Can someone reccomend the best way to fix up the engine undertray. At the moment it's held together with cable ties, which break after a short time and everything falls apart. What do you use? Where possible I've got the orginal bolts etc, but a lot of the original undertray holes don't seam to match up with a Stillen bumper. Jez.

Cats & back pressure! I want to remove cats but want toi keep some backpressure to save the enevitable (rear seal failure). Ok. Can a aftermarket expantion can/silencer be fitted in its place with sure results? Boost psi. As in the mag from the rolling road test last year, im still over fueling LARGE! I've made my own jets & going down the range in 0.1mm incraments. Im at 1.32mm at pressent, the differance is massive & the boost is off the scale (not that accurate we know!) just how much can the stock system take safely. And why am i waisting so much fun/fuel? The fuel system is mint & no leaks. harve

I know this has been asked b4 but doing a search did not come up with any real answer so............ BOVs or Recircs(aftermarket) I dont care about the whoosh but my standard recircs have had it, what I do care about is the general performance of the car. Im leaning towards recircs.... Answers on a postcard please!

Hi, just put my Z through its SVA, it failed, actually on several stupid things, how about the front indicators are no good because they cant be seen at a 45 degre angle from the opposite side to which they are flashing??? As if it matters. Solution? to pack they out a bit so they can be seen. (And of course remove the packing when its passed.) If any one wnats some recent experience on the SVA just drop me a line. Brakes, it failed because with the engine off and the servo empty at a certain pedal pressure it only had 28% of some figure they came up with, so I need new pads, apparently Jap ones are harder and so need a touch more effort. What do you guys suggest…

Anyone got any recommendations ? It's a present for someone to use in the gym so it needs to be small. Ideally have enough memory for a couple of hours of music plus reasonable battery life. Oh, cheap would be nice too. And the ability to have it in my hands in 4 days is essential (yes darling, of course I'm ready for your birthday). Cheers !

I was messing around with connectors on my cd system because it has not been working properly when i suddenly find my car is DEAD! Its not the battery, the interior lights come on and the alarm system is working. When i put the key in the ignition and turn, no dashboard lights come on and the car wont start - no turning of the engine can be heard. Though the arial motor can be heard when i switch the ignition on the first turn... Its a jap auto and i cant shift the auto lever at all... The doors will not lock via my remote/alarm fob - which is not good on a sunday afternoon :( Though the alarm/immobiliser is working! I had a quick look at some of the r…

To make it slightly interesting (and possibly useful) how about posting your occupation ? I'm a Project Manager for IT projects at Legal & General. Almost couldn't believe it, the shop that did my suspension didn't tighten everything up correctly, the nuts on the top of one front shock were all coming off. I've done them up, but what I need to know is how tight should they be? I guess lock the first nut down gently until it almost starts to twist the rubber underneath...(with the car on the ground), then tighten the second nut against it. Am I missing any other parts, just two nuts right?
