I was messing around with connectors on my cd system because it has not been working properly when i suddenly find my car is DEAD! Its not the battery, the interior lights come on and the alarm system is working. When i put the key in the ignition and turn, no dashboard lights come on and the car wont start - no turning of the engine can be heard. Though the arial motor can be heard when i switch the ignition on the first turn... Its a jap auto and i cant shift the auto lever at all... The doors will not lock via my remote/alarm fob - which is not good on a sunday afternoon :( Though the alarm/immobiliser is working! I had a quick look at some of the r…

Just interested to know how many members are actually active. If you are, please post ONCE ONLY on this thread so that the post count can be used. To make it slightly interesting (and possibly useful) how about posting your occupation ? I'm a Project Manager for IT projects at Legal & General. Dave (now how is Timmy going to manage only one post on a thread !)

Almost couldn't believe it, the shop that did my suspension didn't tighten everything up correctly, the nuts on the top of one front shock were all coming off. I've done them up, but what I need to know is how tight should they be? I guess lock the first nut down gently until it almost starts to twist the rubber underneath...(with the car on the ground), then tighten the second nut against it. Am I missing any other parts, just two nuts right?

Had a 300 towed in today as the guy said it wouldn`t start due to an electrical fault after driving through a puddle. Basically the car was just giving a loud click on cranking, sounded like starter or battery. Stuck the boost pack on it but still nothing. Anyway after a bit of searching and digging found the problem, 1" of water in both plenium`s!! The guy had driven through what he thought was a puddle but turned out to be a 3ft puddle! So what damage are we looking at?, engine sounds siezed and i ain`t no mechanic so me mate is having a butchers but doesn`t look good. What is the worst that could have happened, bent rods etc or just plain siezed? …

Anyone recommend somewhere in the midlands that can check out my suspension alignment properly. Figure I'll probably need it adjusted since I've fitted wheels/shocks/springs and tie rods and not had it checked since.

Hi Guys, I have traced the problem with my 300 to the Fuel Pump. I have a small problem now though. In Bahrain all of the nissan people do not stock virtually ANY parts for the 300. I wqant to know if any other Nissan fuel pump is the same or will be OK to fix to my 300. I have seen some on courtasy nissan but the will take about 4 weeks to get here!!! I need on ASAP. So what do you guys think. Do the Mitsubishi 3000 ones fit, i know that a lot of mitsi things fit the 300's but im not sure about the fuel pump. also how much is one from the nissan stealership in the uk. My girlfriend is coming over to Bahrain in about 2 weeks so that could also be an option …

when I first bought the Z I took it to the main dealer nearest to me. told them it was an import 2 weeks before its 60K service. After the car had been with them for TWO hours, I got a call at the office to tell the that "your car is an import, did you know?2 and that the service would cost more due to the increased proce of parts. ended up paying them over £900 for that service, including a new water pump. 12 weeks later, I was driving down to Malvern when I heard the cooling fan going. pulled the car over immediately, opened the hood to the sound of boinilg coolant and smoke emanating from every rubber hose the eye could see. Turned out the incompetent SO…

My Z will be out of the bodyshop on tuesday/wednesday next week but the rear Koni adjustable shocks have not arrived. I've got the front Blitz Springs and Koni's fitted but the car needs an MOT and Tax before I can drive it and one of the rear shocks is leaking. Has anyone got a set of rears that they haven't fitted yet that I could have? You can have my new set as soon as they arrive (should have been with me last week)

I believe I'm not suppose to smell gasoline when i turn on the AC. Fortunalely this doesn't happen all the time. It mostly happens in the morning when I start my car. Am I messing around with the ac buttons and I have no idea what I'm doing or is it something worst. Give me your opinion
