Hello guys, I'm putting together a new pc with an AMD Athlon xp2200 processor. The only thing is, when the machine boots it recognises the processor as Athlon xp1500+ ???????????? The only options I have in the bios to change frequency/voltage are: clock speed spectrum - disabled cpu/mem/agps's freq - 100/200/66 cpu clock ratio - default cpu voltage adjust - default I think these should be changed to: cpu/mem/agps's freq - 133/200/66 or 133/266/66 cpu clock ratio - 12.5 Any ideas - I don't want to screw anything up :( Cheers Vijay

I have Windows XP home edition and I find the networking terrible. There are 3 computers in the house all have 100mb network cards going though a 100mb Switch. On Win2000 and Win98 I timed at copying files over the network at about 4mb a second depending on file sizes. 1 50mb file would copy faster than 50 1mb files. Anyway. I am trying to back up information onto another computer because I am about to RAID HDD's but the network has just taken 10mins to copy over 1 200mb file. I would normally espect that to be done in less than 2 mins. Does WinXP Home restrict the Network to 10Mb? The Switch is showing oragne light which means 100Mb connection, the light on the…

this might help to some of you - I was taking to a valeter at the weekend and he noticed the amount of stonechips on the front of my car... I've been polishing it with Autoglym super resin and had notcied that the chips were much more noticeable after a polish He seemed to think that if I used a polish that was the colour of the car (black) then the chips wouldn't show up as much cos the reason they show up more is cos the polish gets stuck in the 'holes'. i havent tried it yet but he seemed pretty sure that it would help the situation...??? Hi Everyone, I'm afraid I am a new kid on the block and need some help and advice. I have bought an unregistered imported twin turbo which needs sorting for an mot and uk regulations before I can use it. Does anyone know of a firm who specialises in zeds in the south, who could sort it out.I live near Portsmouth, and prepared to travel within reason. Local Nissan don't want to know.My car is a October 1991 manual, done 40,000 miles and cost me £2500. They come cheaper than that at Southampton docks. They have 2 auctions a week of imported cars. On average 10 zeds a week are sold never more than £2800, but unregistered. My car is not perfect of course, a section of…

haha someone in a renault 5 turbo tried to race me off the lights. I pulled away normally (quicker than most cars heh) and Heard this things dump valve let off a second or so after i put it into 2nd ( i was at around 3k). Put my foot down and took 2nd gear to 7k and the little twit was just a sparkle in my mirror. You had to be there I guess but me and my mate just sat there laughing at the next set of lights.

Hey folks THX for the help before. I have more questions though: I have one of Luke`s free flow cat back exhausts fitted and am about to get him to slap a blitz air filter on (as well as geting the speed delimited...finally!) apart from these two considerations, what would be your reccomendation for a next step performance mod. Don`t want to go daft, just don`t know which to do next. Also, have any of you got the urethane replacement suspension bushes fitted? Do they make a difference? Cheers steve:) (91 import auto TT)

Anyone tried the 6.5 inch subs? they run about 80 us dollars each, arent super powerful...BUT I think I could fit a pair of them in the back speaker areas...Just need to find an amp that could be hidden somewhere and power at least those two speakers, or maybe all 4 (keeping 2 6's or 6.5's up front) any suggestions? Any idea where to hide an amp other than the spair tire well? thanks ast

Fitted new front pads (Nissan ones), but they squeek like hell (old ones ok), especially at low speed/pressure. Took them out and chamfered the edges, roughened surface and guess what 10 miles down the road and they started squeeking again. Any body else had this problem. Will it go away after abit. Its driving me up the wall.

Would I be far wrong with 200BHP gives 140 - 145 250BHP gives 145 - 150 300BHP gives 155 - 165 350BHP gives 165 - 170 400BHP gives 170 - 175 450BHP gives 175 - 180 600BHP+ to exceed 200 All the DIN kind at the flywheel not the thinner USA kind! Also assumes similar drag, right gearing, unlimited ecu etc etc Just trying to show the diminishing returns due to drag increasing by (is it) the square of the speed. All academic m'lud on private runways pub bore stuff etc! Also assumes a true reading speedo which is unlikely Std 1/4 miles also shows interesting correlation with BHP - it takes more and more to win less and less!
