Hi folks I've finally found the car i've wanted a non turbo Fairlady which has only done 44k interior, exterior, engine looks spotless, interior cloth electric seats,no cruise control, manual dark grey with grey interior. The only thing that makes me a bit nervous is no history at all as it's an import. It's a '92 model. Any thing i should be asking or look out for. If it's still there this afternoon i'll put down some money and pick it up this weekend.... Alex

Hi all, Well, I finally got a 300ZX! I'd been scouting around for a couple of months, and got gazumped a few times too, but I'm now the proud owner of a UK manual 300ZXTT. (Yes proud, Clarkson!) First thing to say is, I'll be sending my cheque to Craig today or tomorrow! Secondly, I'd like to apologise to Jeff TT and Vijay for in-the-end not taking either of them along to see the motor. In my defence it was a long long way from Jeff, and very short notice too. Will probably come back to haunt me ;) Finally, I'm now keen to get the car as sweet as I can! So far I've noticed only two things about it that I'd like some advice on: 1. The seal around …

Finally done the 4 hour journey from London up to P.P.S yesterday and met the infamous Peter. Nice to meet ChrisC, PaulG and Aki again - very friendly guys. Anyway, I have to perfectly honest and say I'm impressed with the standard of his work after seeing the cars that were ready and the job he's done on Chris's car (gonna look the business). As some of you may know my car went to a certain bodyshop in Nottingham exactly a year ago to have a full kit and respray. After a few months (and less than 2K), there was paint flaking off and cracks in the side skirts as well as rust coming through - needless to say I wasn't impressed (and that's an understatement). No blame …

Hi, On TT.net, they are removing the EGR system and blanking it off with a blank end from a plumbers merchants. They then use a couple of pennys and araldite them to the EGR holes on the underside of the plenum! They use an American brand of Metal Araldite, does anyone know of a British equivalent that would withstand the Heat tolerances involved! Mark

I dont know if this is in the right section, but what the hell! I went to the Jap car meeting at the Coppid Beech Hotel this afternoon.(Bracknell) There were lots of Scubbies,Supras,Skylines,Gto's etc.,but I only found 4 'Z's(excluding mine). There was 1xwhite,2xred and one black. I was looking forward to meeting some fellow Z heads but couldnt find any of you! Where were you ?In the nearest pub I bet. Any way it was a shame I didnt meet any of you,but had a good time looking at all the other lovely motors there. Cheers, F.T.

Anyone any idea how much per bush and how eay these are to replace? Mine are leaking slightly on the rear ones, nearest the fuel tank. Any suggestions welcome. Also was thinking about having all the front and rear Polybushed...anyone had this done?..What difference does it make..and which ones are best? Will this make for a harsher ride? Chris

If I ever managed to convince Mrs Hairsy that a games console was a much better idea than a set of curtains, does anyone have any recommendations ? I'm not hugely into games although I'd love a realistic driving game. I'd want to be able to use a steering wheel - I know they come with 'feedback' but are they actually any good ? Do they give you a feel for the speed you're doing ? I'm fairly bad at games so wouldn't want something that involves hundreds of hours to master because the games are so complex. I'd welcome all suggestions. Cheers Dave

I did post a message in the members bit but I will try in here for more views maybe? I am gonna order some stuff from Courtesy, plugs etc, and wondered if anybody else wanted anything so I could cut the shipping down. I only got some stuff from there last week and am erm, "peeved" about paying it again! CheerZ.

Hi all, I am looking for a second car to take on trackdays, tinker with and generally waste money on ;) I was originally looking at a Scooby, but there was an article in Evo last month that mentioned the ZX TT as an ideal car, and I should be able to get one for £4-£5k ? So now I'm interested :) What sort of running costs are there? Looking through some past posts, they look like they could be quite high! What sort of opportunity is there to mod the engine? And finally, what sort of insurance cost is it likely to be, given that I'm 22 (with lots of NCB) and using it for limited miles as a second car? Thanks! John

a really good friend of mine got chance to test a 350z this is the post he put on his regular site http://www.zcarchat.com Our Z Car Club of Washington (State) held our last club meeting/pizza feed of the year at the local Nissan Dealership today...Northwest Nissan in Everett has the first 350Z on display on their showroom floor (#000001), the one that was on E-bay! After the meeting, the sales manager let us all have about 10 or 15 minutes behind the wheel of the "performance" model, and he let us get on as well! Too bad it was a bit rainy out, but that made the corners more fun! The car has a real firm feel to it, with a computer controlled suspension...I was a…

Following a service last week, Jeff advised me that the fuel dampener was fualty. Wnet to our new Nissan garage yesterday and ordered said part, expensive for something so small. Just curious, what does it do. Could it's failure be causing problems with the car not starting well?
