Hi guys, I need to replace a few things on my car but as you probably know i live in Bahrain and the guys over here always nedd a "sample" before they can get you a duplicate part. I need to know part numbers and sizes if possible for the following items i think i should change. Alternator Belt AC Belt Power Steering Belt Timing Belt Timing Belt tensioner Exist Bearings x2 ???? Oil Seal x4 Engine Seal x1 Fuel Pump Fuel Filter Anything else you guys think i should replace. I suppose i just really need info on the first 6 items on the list. That list comes from a guy at a garage which i use. But again the guy at the garage needs a sam…

Hi all, was just wondering: seeing as they offer pretty similar performance, and a good ZX can be had for a little over £6k, is the Supra worth another £3k on top of that? Anyone driven both and is able to comment on how they compare? Thanks guys

OK, I'm after someone to repair some minor scratching around the driver's side door handle, where some fool child tried to screwdriver his way in. There's no denting, just a chip down to the metal where the handle surround meets the door, and some light scratching below that (bah, if only I had a digital camera). Who's my best bet? I live in Nottingham, so I was going to try ZCentre, but someone mentioned elsewhere that they weren't impressed with the painting there (maybe that's just on kits, though, and they'd be fine for normal repairs). So there's JeffTT's Zedworld, I guess... or PPS - but what and where is PPS? (sorry, I've tried looking around, but the forum se…

I had to sell since I am moving back to the US. I dropped her off at Zedworld this morning for a final service and warranty. The new owner Jason Underwood will pick her up in a few weeks. Thanks to everyone for all the advice and harrassment over the last few years. Especially to Jeff and Mark for all of their mechanical help. I would highly reccomend anyone to buy a Zed, what other car makes you feel like you are losing a family member when you sell it. I only drove 15K miles in the last three years but they were some of the most fun miles I have ever driven. My last two cars ('96 Alpina 523 and 98' Peugot 406 3.0 Coupe) were much more expensive but no w…

... don't fix it ! Changed my brake fluid at the weekend, old stuff was probably the original and looked most unpleasant. Anyway, bled out the fronts, luverly jubbly no worries, then did the rears. No matter how much fluid I pushed through I got a steady stream of tiny bubbles appearing. Mucked about for a while wondering whether it was something to do with the bleed nipples on the rear calipers, then gave up and decided that all the additional work the master cylinder had just done has worn something out, broken something, dislodged some crap which had damaged something etc and was now drawing in air. So I took it for a drive and it seemed OK. Drove it agai…

I have had 4 Zs and change the oil and every 3000 miles using Mobil 1 Fully synthetic. I have just bought a 3 litre Peugeot 605 coupe (Its not that bad it does have four pot Brembos and I still have a Z) Anyway back to the question. The Peugeot uses synthetic or semi-synthetic oil and the manufacturers recommended service interval is to change it every 20,000 miles. (The oil, not the car) I know that the Z is an older car, but if oil has improved that much, are we wasting money by changing the oil in our Zs so often?

Have de-catted the Z with a full stainless system, have the o2 sensors gone with the old exhaust or are they tucked up further towards the turbo's? Thanx for any help.

Ok... it's ablut time someone mentioned it! What did you think to last night's Top Gear? Aston and Ferrari deeeeply sexy. I would have the Aston personally, it's just sooooo sleek and agressive!:D Steve Coogan demonstrated perfectly how Jezza falls into the Allan Partridge style of 'delivery'. .....and the Skylark. One of the most technically impressive and exciting cars on the road today, and I'm afraid that after 'Fat Blokes' report I wouldn't bother buying one. I'd probably just go out and but an AVENSIS instead. He made it sound so boring! No doubt that if you read his report as text it was informative and to the point...BUT ...I HATE the guy…

What do I need to make the lights on the corner on the front bumper the indicators. Thats where the Jap ones have it dont they? The reason I am asking is I want to move the indicators and side lights there and use the old indicator place to put some fog lights or something in. The stock lights are just too crap. Stuart D'OH I miss-spelt indicators in the title. Oh, you can change the title now :D

Over the last two weeks the car has been loosing drive when accelarating hard. At the weekend things have go so bad that the engine seems to be struggling to accelarate to 40 -50 before it starts to act as if its in neutral (ie revving but no power). This is also followed by a really ower powering hot smell.... Is this likely to be a clutch problem or possibly more terminal. The odd thing is that the clutch seems to engage the gears ok but its losing drive . If this sounds like a new clutch needed. Anyone know how much its likely to cost fitted at a main dealer ? C

Just bought my new Zed, using the advice from this Forum. Hopefully it's been a good buy! Here are the details: - 1990 Jap TT Auto Black (50,000 KM, 30+ Thousand Miles) (OK Bad Year - But 30,000 miles?) AVS Model 5 Alloy's 17inch (Japenese Performace page 30). AB Flug SS Exhaust, All-Through. Note: - Nothings Wrong! (Yet), probably a refreshing change! Everything seems OK, (Driving for a month Now). All the advice given on this forum has been invaluable (my cheque for £20 will be on it's way!).

After finding out last week that to cure the dreaded "GooseHonk" noise I needed to get a BOV or Dumpvalve fitted instead of the standard recirc valves. Well I've phoned around and visited various websites but I cant seem to find anything with much change out of £400!! Does anyone know of anything cheaper or another alternative, any help in this will be much appreciated. Cheers, F.T.
