I noticed a week ago, they my car is struggling at top end. I floored it in 3rd and the revs struggled to get over 5000rpm. At the rate it was going up, I think it would have ran out of power before 6000rpm. Any ideas what it could be? Stuart

It would appear that the prices of Z32's are now getting to the point that buying a whole spares car might actually be worthwhile. I was wandering around my local jap importers yesterday and saw that he had quite a few skylines in stock. I asked him what he would give me for my immaculate jap import twin turbo (manual) against one of the skylines. £3K mate, came the reply. £3K !!!!!!!! my car comes with 10 months MOT, tax, all the toys, 79K miles and not a blemish on the paintwork. £3k !!!!!! Its official. The Z32 must be the most underated sports car around at the moment. The skyline in question was a tidy car but at 10K I would have had to find anoth…

Hello there folks, I'm currently saving to have my turbo's replaced. Done the PCV valves and the the hoses and it still smokes. The car has been de-catted so I can assume that this has caused the rear seals on the turbos to go. Will I be damagin my engine if I continue to run the car like this? I'm keeping a very close eye of the oil level and pressure and all seems fine. Is it just a case of oil seeping past the seals and being burnt in the exhaust? All the best. Martin.

Hi there guys, I purchased a mongoose for the zed and ftted it last week. Since then I have done about 300 miles.(mostly motorway) Just cleaned the car and gave the exhaust a wipe off. No real dirt just a bit of black dust. What was left was some pretty heavy scoring on the inside of the rolled lip, many scratches spireling outwards. Im pretty sure they were not there when I fitted it. The scratches are pressent on all pipes. Never seen this before. Engine is pretty much stock with about 90K, seems in good condition, Never seems to burn oil, the odd rattle when its cold. Sometimes smokes very lightly on the drivers side but that only happens very rarely. Sounds swee…

Hi Mac Thanks 4 the earlier reply. So i was a bit confused with what u said the spacers u made chris c are they not gonna be right for me if i buy the kahn rsc alloys as they are only 18x8 as i want a wide as look as possible on the rears when i get the wide arch kit. U did mention they would be a bit skinny but aslong as they push out enough on the wide arch i dont really mind. Need some help badly.:( Mac appreciate any enlightenment on this Cheers Fas P.S what is imho (something like that)

when my car's cold there's a loud rattling sound coming from the engine. It almost sounds like when you shove a piece of paper in a desk fan! I'm due a oil change soon, will that cure it? I can't see anything visibly catching on the fan. Once the engine warms up the noise disappears. Thanks, Stuart.

Guys, Found the FAQ info on exhausts v interesting as well as the posts on Performance SS's. Can you clear up this comment" B&B Triflo : + : claims the highest HP gains of any exhaust on the market. X Pipe technology, Hand Made Stainless construction, V8 sound - : dont make a exact pipe for the Euro 2+2 twinturbos. can be too Noisey for some, Very Pricey. I like the idea of a V8 sound but Im buying a UK TT so from the above info I assume that they don't do a system for these. Can anyone confirm or deny this Thanks Glenn:confused: :D

Due to the impending onset of old age, I'm 30 in October, my other half has agreed to buy me a larger present than usual (this year it'd better not be a hairdryer ??!?!?!?). Now I'm not sure whether to get a 99 spec front end, an induction kit, a big feck off rear spoiler, or some ice. On the subject of ice, I'd want an amp that could drive a good set of components at the front, probably little uns at the back, then one, possibly 2 subs in the future. I've found this amp: http://www.cel-direct.com/shop1.asp?s_page=http://www.cel-direct.com/detail.asp?ProductID=2374# Is that asking a bit much for this amp? I'm not into seismic bass, just enough to…

Have been thinking recently about getting a Z a year or so down the line, and been checking this forum. Would you agree that a TT 2+2 manual Uk spec car, with around 50K miles or less would be best (even though to find a car with millage that low in the UK would be an achievement). ALso can u get T-bar's with UK spec? Also, is there much difference between Z's from the J reg's to the L reg's? cheers

Just spent 1/2 hour looking through old posts, but still have a few questions about a possible brake upgrade... 1/ If I get GT-R33 front calipers and discs, will I need larger wheels? Is there a minimum size to fit the larger discs in? 2/ What should I get for the rear brakes or do I leave them standard? 3/ SS brake lines - yes or no? 4/ Anything else I should get done to the brake system at the same time. 5/ Do I need to get a zx specialist to fit all this or should a decent garage be able to figure it out? Or possibly a general import dealer garage? Any help or comments will be greatly appreciated.

For all you Z'sters out there running high boost and bigger injectors, check this link out: Programming Z ECUs This guy has some very interesting and informative teachings on ECU tuning and comparisons between the setups of different EPRoms like JWT etc.... It is a realy eye opener when you see exactly how much work a poor ECU has to do as well as monitoring all the sensors! :) Enjoy :D

Guess I should have thought about this earlier but...... I`m having one of Luke`s low level spoilers fitted to me Zed. He said it tends to limit rear visibility. Anyone here got one? If so, how much can`t you see out of your rear screen now?
