Ok, tried to replace both the sensors today. Using a crow's foot from a local store, (spanner head with 3/8 drive connector), and several extensions, u-joint and some piping that was lying around. Spent about an hour on the pass side as I'd read that was easiest, then removed bonnet to make life a little easier. Anyhow got fed up with that, so had a go at the drivers side and managed to do it!!! Spent the rest of the afternoon failing with the pass side again. My spanner doesn't move much then seems to get wedged against the nuts on the manifold - that or it slips off. Taking extension straight up. I think the only pipe left to remove is the A/C one so…

Hi all! First off I'm new to this great forum so 'Howdy Every1!' 8-) I drive a jap '90 Z32 2+2 TT Auto that is stock (62k miles on clock) and have been thru the wars in the last few days! *lol* About 10 days ago I was driving from Poole to London (~130miles) and 120 miles into the journey, she lost all power and I had to pull onto the hard shoulder (M25 j22-23). Immediately as I came to a stop the car died and has not started since. It was about 40degrees road temp that day and the engine was roasting, indeed because the engine was so hot and she didn't have her 3-4mins 'spin down' time the oil started to fry on the turbos and produced light blue smoke under …

Has anyone ever had strange noises coming from their HICAS?? It seems to only happen at motorway speed when going round slight bends... The only way I can describe it is as a hmmmphhh!! It's almost sounds like the tyres are rubbing the arches (which they're not). The fluid levels are all fine, and there doesn't appear to be excessive play anywhere, although I've not got anything to compare it to!! The noise is pretty loud - I'm convinced other drivers can hear it when I go past them!

Hi, where can I get front light bulb for dipped headlight. The car is an import. Does Nissan stock them or are they different from the UK? I seem to remember some thread about this before but can't be bothered doing a search. Hope to hear soon, Thanks, Geoff.

Got back to the motor yesterday to find my passanger wing mirror on the floor, just ripped/kicked/punched off- Am not a happy bunny at the moment! Luckily I found out who did it, so I had the very nice pleasure of going round to his house and 'having a little friendly chat'!! - He managed to see the light and he's going to pay for it to be fixed, which we both agreed was much better than him having his head kicked in by me. The trouble is it's a jap model which I've been told has a small heater built in that turns on when you activate the rear window heater (although I could be wrong!) as well as being able to electronically retract. Does anybody know wh…

as some of you may know one of my turbos blew a few months back (only 2 weeks after buying the car:mad: ). i've saved all my money since and have as much as i'll have before i start uni next month. so it's coming to crunch time, and i'll be booking the car in to get done in the next few weeks. i'm planning on ordering the courtesy 60k service kit, as hopefully getting the parts fitted should hopefully cost less with the engine out. other than that are there any other jobs that are worth doing? i guess it would make sense to change the det sensor, as long as it isnt too expensive? does anyone know a garage that knows their stuff about zeds in the north kent …

Guys + Gals, I am seriously thinking of putting the ZED into storage as the gearbox is going to cost me close to a grand and what with the MOT being due (bodywork needs doing) and the tax running out, I am very very very short on cash, this is what the car has done to me! I earn good money but the car has really kicked my ass over the past 6 months, as some of you well know and along side the cost of living (renting), times are hard! As a reault of the increasing debt, and wanting to start thinking about buying a house as the house market is getting more pathetic by the day, I thought that it may be wise to store the ZED away in a garage for 6-12 months rather …

Chaps, Went to see a Z at the weekend and the Chap said that He'd disconnected the Air con, by cutting the belt, cos the pump was making a squeeking noise and hes said thay you lose 8 HP by driving the pump It's a very nice car but I would obviously want the air con to work. Can anyone give me a rough idea (parts and labor) what it would be to fit a new pump and belt as well as check and poss re-charge the system?? If you doný know do you know a man who does Jeff perhaps?? Many thanks Glenn :D

Has anyone tried this? My driver's side seat belt has failed again, so I need a new one. It seems like a good opportunity to replace the Japanese style belts, which anchor on the doors, for UK style, which don't. I already have the slots for UK belts in the rear panels, as I have a UK suede interior. Does anyone know if the hole for mounting the belt mechanism at the bottom and the upper mounting point are already there in an import?

Somehow I've managed to disconnect (or break) my ambient temp sensor when wiring my gauges up. The ambient tempereature is currently reading -86C so the air-con is useless at the moment :( I've used the A/C diagnositc to pin it down to the ambient sensor, but where the hell is it? :) All help appreciated as ever James
