I was involved in a accident on thursday and i managed to mount a kerb at 50mph due to some shit head in a modified R5 GTT (still kicked his arse) Iv managed to damage both my alloys on the passenger side and possibly damaged the suspension and a bit of bodywork which was gonna be replaced anyway. Is there any chance i could have damaged anything else as the front wheel is tilting sideways other than upright (like the hicas system) Also iv been trying to find some panasport G7/C5C2 split rims and the only place i can find them is this site http://www.naisnet.co.jp/panasport/g7-c5c2.htm i cant really understand anything as its in japanese and i need to find …

This is not the most interesting of subjects but I'm curious to know whether Nissan intentionally put the wind breakers on the Z, to annoy the f*ck out of everyone that drove over 70mph with the targas out. Stereo off, 80mph, - why is there so much f*cking windnoise coming from this car. It's DC is almost less, if not less that the Calibras. Oh, Hang on, lets just pull this breaker down. Over 25% reduction in wind noise. I think I'll be whiping those babies out and storing them away for a long time. Anyone know where I can buy 4 grommits from? Do they have a real use anyway? P.S. Apologies about the swearing. I've been for a picnic today with the Mrs …

Hi guys. Mega long shot but I’m off to look at a Z tomorrow (Sunday 17th Aug) in London just off the A3 nr Putney East Tube sta wandsworth SW15, I’m completely new to the game, but having just driven Cos’s wonderful white 91 TT Manual one last night I am definitely out for one. I was hoping against hope and wondered if there was the remotest of chances that anyone could come over to help me out looking it over. Its a 92 K reg Red UK TT advertised on the autotrader web site. Owner sounds genuine and willing to let it idle for a long time then test drive it so that its been running for over 30 mins to check the turbos. I’m not sure if he’s a member of the fo…

Since I sold my Z, I have watched the population of Z's in Peterborough increase to about 10-15, abit sad really as I was one of I think 2 in the area about a year ago. Anyway, i know one of these chaps that have recently bought a Z, his is completely standard spec. he tells me that he has dun 160mph (apparently still had sum left?) on an A road sumwhere. Is this possible? What is the Top speed that people have reached, no matter wot spec? D

Hi chaps/chapesses! I'm getting my swb TT de-catted, and after reading through the many, many posts (people must be getting pi**ed off with cat questions!) would I be right in assuming that it's best to chop the cat sensors off, feed them back into the chassis and earth them off inside under the carpet?? Or would I perhaps be talking utter utter codswallop?! Whatever that is! Cheers in advance, and sorry for boring everyone!! Simon

Hi all, It looks like ZedWorld, where I usually go, isn't able to provide prop-shaft centre bearing fitting at the moment. Can anyone recommend a garage that'll get this done for me. I'd prefer it to be in the south east (I'm in London), but I'm willing to travel - within reason - to find the right garage. Any suggestions/recommendations much appreciated... Cheers, Russ.

Hi Just wondered if anyone can recommend any decent garages in the Bristol area. I need my cambelt and tensioner changing ASAP, Before anyone suggests Protechnical i have tried them, and anyway they did it a year and a half ago and it is 4 notches out. There must be somewhere else in the area who can put a belt on a ZX!!?? Cheers Jim

Anyone on here tried binning their viscous fan and replacing it with a big leccy fan? Apart from bhp savings, my mechanic also reckons it'll keep under bonnet temperatures down better. Any thoughts?

Finally remap is done:) Its running fine at 1.3 bar, though when its cold it spikes up to 1.4. Depending on a couple of other mods it should be getting turned up a bit more:D And my word its ludicrous when you floor it in 4th from 100 (on a private test track obviously):D :D

Hi, I'm in the arket for a Z and I've been doing the rounds on this site, great info, however I was wondering if there was anyone close who would mind my poping round for a chat, beer and perhaps a go in their car - please I realsie that is't a very controversial subject but I am tryijg to decide between a GTO and 300ZX I drove a GTO last night. A very friendly chap who lives just round the corner from me took me out man they are fast! So I'd like to try a Z, didn't want to bother a private sale and dealers anr very cagey, Jap city ex Ram city motors don't let you drive them unless you've talked a deal. Promise not to prang it. Thank for your help…

In a fit of enthusiasm I bought a turbo boost controller off eBay and now that it has arrived I've suddenly twigged the meaning of 'Twin Turbo' (Sharp is my middle name) So: 1 - is it a good idea, so get another one? 2 - how d'u balance the adjustment to get equal boost? 3 - give it up and use the thing as a paperweight? tia

Anyone got any experience of using these, specifically the 'Defi' ones ( see http://www.defi-shop.com/product/vsd/bt/bt_top.htm ) Quite interested in a combination of the Sports VSD & Boost & Timer units. I've wanted a boost gauge for a while but have waited in the hope of finding one of these as I don't really want extra pods on the dash or pillars. Are they bright enough to use in strong daylight ? Seem quite good value at £101 & £114 for the 2 mentioned above. Ta ! konrad :)

=Thanks To all who offered me advice just before and after purchase of my Zed. Thanks to all here I have realised my dream of owning a zed. I have reached and passed the peak of first ownership being that of a grand repair bill and bits and pieces to replace. = quick sell it. specially since my boring car is out of insurance and in the garage with no one to buy = stupid loan pay of for car in garage. But thanks to this site I will ...let me repeat ...I will be keeping...thats not selling my zed cos my smile is a mile wide....smile every time i go near it.....I cant't walk away without looking back at it.... Jock...you too mate if you had got me it i…
