Looks like i am going to have to change the front discs as they squeal constantly. I have tried everything but looks like the visa card is going to have to appear again! At present they are Brembo R33 discs, 330mm i think? What is the largest size i can get? I think i seen somewhere about 365mm discs? I will also be changing to Porterfield pads. Are the RS4's the best?

anyone hear had gurgleing sounds comeing from the n/s front wing? i spent 3 days bleeding the cooling system thinkin it was an airblock or headgasket. but it turned out 2 b some exhaust condensation valve stuck open under the wing. dont know if anyones interested 2 know that but it may save u some hassle.:D

Hi all, My clutch seems to be misbehaving and is getting worst with each day that passes. Symptoms are as follows: Serious problems putting it in first gear, no grinding of spinning cogs but it takes a lot of force and eventually clicks into place. 2nd gear is the same but only when stationary (are all the gears) when moving getting into 2nd isn't a problem, but 3rd gear crunches. Sometimes i.e. 1 out of 20, first gear will slip in without a problem. Is this a case of adjustment needed or are we looking at a new clutch or something else ?

Hey dudes, I know there already has been a post bout shocks, but it didnt answer all my quesions so wondering if anyone could help? I have a 95 TT import and it appears all the oil has come oout of one of the rear shocks :S so its bit bouncy any way im gonna replace the rear shocks. does anyone have any recommendations and where to get them from and how much roughly they cost? also will the uk spec stock shocks fit the jap spec zxs or do i need to get jap spec ones? Hi Guys, Well, those of you that know me that I have had no luck with this car and the bad luck continues. The problem would see to be with the auto gearbox, which is a UK car but has a seperate oil cooler. I went to my friends this morning and parked up which was a 2 miles drive. I went back to my car and then reversed off the drive and put the car into neutral whilst my friend pulled oof the drive. I then out the car into drive and proceeded to drive up a slight hill anout 100m and then the car seemed to just lose drive. I tried to put the car into 1st and 2nd but no difference. I then left the car for a bit and started it back up, this allowed me…

Guys, A quick straw poll....Apart from SE of course, Who would be the best bet to replace my turbos? I don't wish to start a war here, I am just canvassing opinions as I have warranty cover but only if they have failed and not worn out...! I have to pay for their removal, and if they are broken, I get my money back, if they've worn out, I have to pay. Many thanks, Phil.

After filling in the necessary registration forms to register my newly imported jap import, i've received the tax disc through the post this morning.... But nothing else (apart from the docs I sent them ie mot). I was led to believe that once I'd receieved the tax disc (plus other docs?) I could go and get the reg plates made up so I could actually drive the vehicle rather than wait 2-3 weeks for a logbook? But the only thing I have is the tax disc? I get a sneaky suspicion that the dvla haven't sent me all that they should have :angry:. Has anyone got reg plates made up on a tax disc only? btw, who makes up the square number plates for the rear …

My Zed is 1992 and I have workshop manual on disc from Luke. Is there any point in paying £10 to get the Haynes book which is really only z31? Only a tenner but my arms are short and my pockets deep so don't like to waste money - 's nearly 3 gallons o' petrol.:rolleyes:

Hi I Have a HKS boost controller fitted to my 300zx (it was fitted in japan when i recived the car) If i disconnect the battery will i loose the parameters (settings) and have to re-programme it of will it hold this data?? Thanks Tom

Had my zed for 2 weeks now... done about 600 miles...got a slight oil leak to be fixed when i find the fooker but gettin paranoid about the turbos. Twice when ive booted it in 3rd and 4th ive had a lot of blue smoke from the rear(presume exhs).Then it clears and thrash it as i might i cant get it to do it again. Been deliberately booting it hard but nothing. oh.. tried to get people to follow me to see what was happening when i booted it.... couldnt keep up.........lol any ideas welcome

Hi, Just took deliver of a Blitz SBC i-d and Power Meter i-d and am currently looking through the instructions and it says that the controller will not drop the boost pressure below the stock boost pressure. Does this mean that I cannot adjust the pressure below 14psi that my car is currently set to??? If this is the case is there anything I can do to allow me to adjust the boost pressure lower so I have more adjustment . I would ideally like to be able to take boost from 7psi or lower to about 17psi max. Zedhot :confused:

Right I know I asked this before and Steve E told me that the fan only comes on at 105ºC and comes on full power at 110ºC so I presume when the temp is below that it is normal. I had a cambelt change and before then I it was running cool very rarely going over 80ºC and when it did it went no higher than 90º. Now after my cambelt change which the water pump was changed too, its getting to 100ºC too often. Today I was driving 50mph down the motorway at 2000rpm in 5th gear and the temp was about 95ºC. I accelerated to 70mph which was about 2500rpm for about 10 miles and the temp went up to 110ºC, when I started to get a little worried. Any help? …

Help! Ive just bought an early import 1990 ZX and it has lap belts in the back. My ex-wife has decided she won't let the kids go in it unless I fit 3-point shoulder belts! Is this possible? Are there places in the UK that would fit them for me? Thanks in advance for any help, Mythix.

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the urgency of my request. I've been looking to buy a Z for some time now, I've just this week been to see one that I'm very interested in buying, but there are a couple of issues I'd like to ask here about before I make up my mind. The car in question is a 93 manual TT, just imported. It has been had the addition of an HKS single exhaust, HKS induction kit and HKS blow-off valves. 42k miles. Asking £5300. I am trying to remove my O/S rear ball joint, this is contained in a rubber bush on the hub assy'. My bush remover has a nut + bolt which pulls the bush out and into a cylinder, the bolt running through the bush, but with the balljoint there this is not possible to do. Ive undone the rear shocker for more access and tried a 2 legged tool but the surronding metal arround the bush aint in to good a nick. any special tools needed ???? any help or advice appreciated.
