Is there any1 on here who has had these replaced at the rear of the engine bay without having to take the engine out coz from what iv seen its so tight between the engine and the bay. Itz virtually impossible to access them. Iv ordered a full 17 hose kit from courtesy and my mechanic is dreading the job as he goes its a nightmare to do it. Also theres a little hose between the gearbox which is impossible to do without the gearbox coming off he goes. Any solutions will be greatly appreciated. Fas (The zed is making me bankrupt) :( but i still love it :D

Yesterday, I started my manual import na z as usual, depressed the clutch and ended up with a squirt of grease on my ankle! I got my head as far into the footwell as possible to have a look but could see nothing. Everything still worked okay, although the clutch seemed a bit lighter. Today I was driving along quite happily, as usual, when something fell on my foot! It was a spring, about two inches long, covered with a plastic type covering. one end has a hook, the other end looked snapped. What is this for? All the pedals still seem to work. I'm just worried that all of a sudden i'm going to be stranded. All answers and help gratefully received as ever. …

Looking at doing the twin filter set up with one on each bank so as to do away with the top horn shaped pipe, but using an AFM on ech side, can i just splice into the main AFM harness on one side from the other AFM that i will be fitting, know what i mean ?? I assume even doing it this way there wil be benefits as i'm doing away with the top horn shaped pipe ? oh i will be having the SE chip that i've got re done again as i'm doing other things done at the same time, if that helps. Very happy with what i've got (below) but there's always room for more :D cheers smithy

Guys, I have noticed that at the drivers side back of the engine there is a white sheafed wire that leads to a connector which hangs down the back of the engine, probably should be attached to a clip or something, but it hangs and its OK there. There seems to be an identical wire on the other side too! Thing is, one of the wires coming out the other side of the connector (2 in total) is broken. NOW, the car runs fine (TOUCH WOOD Not sure what to do?!?! Does anyone know what this wire is?

Hello there folks, I think my clutch may be going. Anyideas of whats involved cost wise for replacing it. I'll probably get my local importer to do it rather than tackle it myself. I'll try adjusting it first but if that doesn't help i'll need to get it replaced. Cheers. Martin.

OK this is a weird one, but here goes. I was ordering my food this evening and just as i asked for me chicken nuggets the car jumps to 1500rpm and just rises up slowly to about 1700, which is strange i thought having not touched the accelerator, anyhoo. I whack it in drive and move on to the next window where the same thing happens, still intrigued i move to the car park and wait for the food. ........ 5 mins later got the food go to start her up and not much happens. She turns over, but wont start and after a few seconds there is a REAL strong smell of fuel, not knowing what to do i sit there and eat my food whilst praying to the maker (not NISSAN!!) th…

Following up to my other post.......Got the Z up on a ramp today. Although its stopped leaking, still wanted to take a look. I was underneath and could make out that the leak seemed to be coming from the little section where the couple of wires are (earth I guess). To be more precise, a cylinder, about 2 inches in length and about an inch or so wide, back a bit from the bell housing, has a wire coming straight out of the top of it. Bit vague, sorry, not really up on the auto boxes or what everything is called under there. I'd take a photo and post that but fookin lost my camera! Any idea's anyone?? Cheers.

Looking for some clarification, as have had several inputs on this. NA disks, I am told that they are thinner than TT disks. This means that I need to upgrade my calipers in order to fit TT disks on my car. Then I was told that the TT disks might not fit on my hubs, so I might need to upgrade the hubs as well (getting expensive this) I spoke to 3G and he was of the opinion that the pre '90 cars (mine is an '89 Z32) were fitted with 28mm thick disks as opposed to the 30mm post '90 zeds Looked at the online manual, it quotes australian cars as 28mm , europe as 30mm (and Japs????) Any clarification on any or all the above points would be welcomed …

Running windows ME. Have a USB 4 port hub, which is on the system and showing no problems in Device manager. Having problems getting windows to recognise anything I plug into the hub, especially my USB/parallel printer adapter. Initially it recognised it as an unknown usb, but wouldnt accept the driver for it, now, although it shows up on the power properties for the hub as connected, it doesnt show on device manager. tried unplugging/ resetting etc. The whole lot was working before i reloaded windows ME. Any ideas? is XP any better?
