Has anyone any experience with the Turbo dynamics stage 2 hybrid T25. the description is: Roller bearing turbo, high flow 60 trim compressor wheel, cnc re-profiled compressor housing, T25 left hand thread turbine wheel assembly, staggered gap / total seal turbine end piston ring fitted, 0/64 A/R turbine housing, uprated 14 psi actuator. I am thinking about upgrading to this, with a steel flywheel and 1 piece prop. any comments to the good or bad ??

looking forward to the show at weekend and then this happens, last week I started to have hesitation problems when accelerating from rounderbouts etc.., so I thought i would check my tps for conections etc.. after 2 hours of swearing i managed to get it back to the correct idle. but still have hesitation. mines a jap car tt, but have always run it on 95 unleaded, so I decided to bang 2 full tanks of super in, the car does feel better accelerating but still have the prob. this morning from standing start I planted foot down and nothing happened only a slow pickup got home and checked ecu codes 34 and 13 came up! and while driving home crawling in traffic the gearb…

A guy that I know has just got a 300, but its got a problem....no boost. Apparently he can hear the turbo's spooling while he's driving but the boost guage doesnt go past zero, and the car is super slow.... Apparently, theres no smoke so I dont think its the turbo, and they've checked for boost leaks and cant find anything. The only other thing I could think of would be a seized open wastegate - is this viable? appaerntly its last owner was an old guy who crawled round off boost all the time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just for Info, (I wish I had known this!!!!) Had CATS removed and had to have intermediate section replaced in stainless 309 ..due to failure of the Blitz Realise TT Exhaust check this out... Note only tail section is stainless on Blitz exhaust...mine lasted 18 mths... (£800) The bloke who fitted new stainless also stated the bend radius on tail sections didnt match He showed me what happens with the Blitz mild steel when touched by burner ...just melted away in seconds.... he stated about 50% of Jap Cars have their Blitz Exhaust replaced within about 2-3 years. He also showed me a Powerflow Exhaust (who make their systems from 409 Stainless, a lo…

Played footie last night, came out all sweaty and it was raining. Jumped in the car stuck the demister on for the front windscreen but it wouldn't de-mist. I checked and theres ROCK ALL air blowing out of the vents to the screen. I've not looked yet but I suspect that there is a motor actuating the movement of a flap somewhere controling where the air flow goes. Has anyone else had any experience of this? Cheers Rod

Just had a coolant hose replaced & have ended up with large bill from local garage as they claim it was (almost) impossible to get to! It was rumoured that the gearbox would have to come out to get to it! But apparently they persevered and managed to do it in 4.5 hours! Is there such a difficult hose or was i ripped off? Dont know which hose but it was short & about 0.75 ins dia.

Hi All, I have the obligatory Z idling problems (constantly too high - 2000+ rpm) and reckon it's down to a vacuum leak. I've changed and re setup the TPS so I'm pretty sure it's not that. The car has recently had a gearbox swap Auto>Man and hence I have a whole lot more vacuum servo hoses to leak. The idle was always a bit on the high side (1100) and occasionally got stuck a bit higher (1500) Anyone got any advice about locating a vacuum leak? Could I use one of those boost leak dummys Vijay posted about with the TB's held open? Or am I talking cr*p (again)? ;) Any advice appreciated. RobH

I have been researching this and found that an imported 300ZX TT firstly will have Kmph speedo, not undersealed, restricted to 112mph, restricted to 275bhp (UK 300BHP) require a new radio as Jap radio's frequencies are above what our stations are broardcast on, Number of owners is very hard to prove, service history again hard to prove - however equivalent MOT in Japan is very very strict so if the car has recently passed it should be a good one (Or the owner is getting rid of an MOT failure), all UK cars have leather nearly all Jap are cloth, much Higher Insurance. From the above there is a clear advantage in going for a UK car over an import (Expect Imports are che…

Having recently reverted to a Z, from a GTO, I have always washed it using a jet wash. This was out of habit of having to do this with the GTO to avoid half of the body (ie. spoiler) being ripped off. However, its just dawned on me, that I may not have to do this anymore, and may be able to use a normal car wash(which can get the wheels looking really good!!). Can someone confirm that drive in car washes are ok, before I proceed... ps. I have standard spoiler, with tailgate panel conversion.

Read past threads on catch tanks but all seem to be TT related, will this benefit an NA or are the benefits more for track days etc.... Did you finally make or fit one and will they work on an NA. If you have made before, maybe this is what you could use the left over stainless for from the slam panels.... Cheers

Whilst mucking about removing the vaccum pipe from my AIVs came across an unconnected rubber hose at the back of the engine. Heater matrix has been bypassed, fair enough I thought a job to do. On closer examination the pillock who done it has used one of the heater matrix pipes as a bypass. Due to the fact that it is formed to shape, it has bent almost closed where it has been forced on to the other side. Apart from causing my engine to run hot, which it does, I cant think of any other problems. Anyone ? Obviosly am going to rectify it tomorrow :D

Done my AIVs today as per this link aiv removal Thought I would add that where the guy who wrote this says to ignore the other large pipe coming out of the AIV (the one that doesnt go to the exhaust and isnt the vaccum pipe) I followed it to a plastic tank under the wing, held on by two bolts and a nut. At first I couldnt get it past the wire looms, but I pushed out the side repeater, disconnected it, and the tank came free. Dont know if others have sussed this, thought I would post it anyway

Hi folks Charlie's Z has snapped its cambelt!!! It occurred as he stopped at a traffic light. The engine just died as he came to a stop as though it had stalled. He tried restarting a few times thinking it had stalled for some weird reason but there was no response from the engine. His garage believes that either the cambelt has snapped or the teeth on the belt has given way. Charlie is not sure as yet but what would be the likely extent of the damage??? Are we talking of slight engine work, reconditioning of engine or replacement????? Cheers in advance Van
