Guys, I know this is paranoid but I have to ask the question. Which radiator have I got - the one from the Zed with the busted engine or the one from the Zed with the busted auto gearbox? Its just that the radiator cools both and if there was a problem with the rad it just might?? have been the cause. I know that this is paranoid and I do trust you, not to pass on anything that you do not have confidence in. Just put my mind to rest - this hot weather seems to make me worry! Thanks

Hi, I'm about to fit my new stereo (when it arrives) and I've been reading about the "sunglasses & pens holder" that fills the other DIN hole. Now I may just be being a bit thick, but I can't picture what this would look like. Does anyone have a photo they could post before I shell out for one? Also if anyone has one for sale, I'd be v. interested. Also any alternative recommendations as to what to do with my spare DIN would be welcommed. Cheers

I was talking to someone over the weekend, a guy who builds his own cars......Nick Harlett, if anyones heard the name, he must be up there with the best in the country. Anyway, he was just about to wire in the loom to a car he's building at the mo and he said that it is best to crimp the connectors on because if you solder them on, these can go brittle and break/snap over a period of time. I can see his point but was just about to solder on my new injector and coilpack connectors that Stu (SMW1) kindly got for me from Courtesy. Any opinions on this? Cheers........

The bolt with a rounded head that goes inside the gearbox and allows the arm to swing on it ! Does anyone know how much these are or where I can get one, other than main dealer as they probably cost an arm and a leg ? Andy Z didn't have one although he ws extremely helpful and searched for ten minutes to try and find me the number of someone who was breaking a manual and may have one, if anyone knows of this breakers in Southampton I believe, please let me know ? Just thought I`d post to say that what I thought was goosehonk is in fact a huuuge boost leak somewhere near my off side intercooler. Trouble is that I`m not sure whether I`m more stupid because I thought goosehonk sounded like a boost leak or because I failed to notice where the sound was coming from........utterly. Hey, it sounded like a damn goose to me! Don't suppose anyone else has made this mistake? No? Ok then..........I`ll slip away and be embarrased in private then.:o

Help!!! Has anyone ever taken one of these off? I have to change the ball joint and to get at it need to get the hub off....unfortunately mine seems to be seized solid!!! So far I have tried heat, penetrating oil and 2 bars!!! Both bars broke, and one of them was a Britool!!!. If anyone has had theirs off was it as tough as this one? What do you have to resort to? The only thing that I can think of is to call someone like ATS out and get an air wrech on it!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated......

Now not had the goosehonk before I think. Does it sound like someone blowing across the top of a glass bottle? I noticed it a couple of weeks ago with the roof off and I thought it was air being blown over the roof latch holes but then the other day I heard it with the roof on! Any ideas guy's? Ivan:confused:

I'm not sure if it's bad or important or something is desperately wrong???? I started up the Z to move it fo rthe girlfriend to park her MGF behind my Z, there was a small amount of white smoke coming out of the drivers side twin pipes....... I left it idleing after I moved it forward and I parked her car (she couldn't get into the hooooge gap I had left!!) and I thought I'll rev the Z a bit and se if that shifts the smoke..... How wrong could I be.........plumes of the white stuff, scared the crap out of me as I have just had a full 60k service!! The oil level was high when I checked but I am parked on a bit of a hill!! (see pics in 99 spec front.....…

This weekend, all being well, I should be getting my replacement ECU and Apexi AVC-R fitted (by the hand of the very generous John Dixon...cheers in advance John!:D ). Was wondering if theres anything extra I need to go out and get beforehand...for example, the manual mentions being able to wire up a "Scramble" button/switch (not supplied) for immediate lower/higher boost...or if anyones got any advice concerning the fitting itself? Cheers, Friday.

My handbrake's really crap. It does less than **** all. I've adjusted the rear shoes through the holes in the rear brakes and I'm sure it temporarily got better and then went back to normal. Could be wrong though. Any ideas? I can't see how they could need replacing as they don't exactly have a hard time of it. Got an MOT due (actually overdue) and was wondering if this was a fail also.

I know that our air-con systems need to be filled with some updated equivalent, but...... I have aquired a couple of cans of R12. Do you think its worth keeping for when my air-con does need a re-fill, or should I just 'dispose' of it? Cheers!

Hi My Aircon needs a recharge (1990 Jap TT) and I am being told that the kind of gas I [may] need is now illegal in the UK/USA/EU is this the truth? Can you use R134A with the standard compressor as above or will I need to source a compressor from a post 1994 car? Cheers. AndyGP
