Hi, Not yet purchased a 300 TT, currently looking for a good example....in the meantime I have been religeously scouring the archives for as much info as I can....its becoming an addiction ! :( Anyway, noticed a lot of messags in reference to the Zed TT performance, that says they are not particulaly fast off the line, getting beaten by various peformance cars (Impreza, Bmw's....etc), but once the Zed gets up to speed it beats them. Yet most of the cars mentioned in these messages, all have very similar 0-60mph times (5.5secs), and some slower. I presume then that the Zed is slower to say 30mph, but its 30-60mph would be quicker than most, to make up…

I'm planning an ECU upgrade and electronic boost control install. Does anyone have experience of the Powerchip in terms of performance and reliability?. I know from searching the forum that JWT and SE's come highly recommended and the Superchip is best avoided. Problem is: 1. Can't locate a JWT supplier in the UK. Advised that even if I do, it's probably cloned or not set for UK fuel! 2. Need someone in or around the London area to undertake the installation and finely tune on a rolling road. SE are localish but understand they don't have a RR. A JWT, set for the UK and tuned on a dyno would be ideal. Am I asking for too much or can someone recommend some option…

Hi all, bit of help required, and this seemed the natual place to come!! I've got a 91 TT auto. At the weekend i left the ignition on (engine not running) for about 3 minutes whilst i did the passenger side leccy window up, and polished it. Ever since, i cannot turn the engine off without the handbrake being in the down possition!! If its up, i can take the key out with the engine still running. If i do this (ie take the key out whilst its running) a beeping noise comes from under the dash until i lower the h/brake and the engine will switch off. Wierd i know...........any ideas?? (Just to mention it, when i got in the car the following morning, the stereo …

Does anyone know how can I contact Z-Centre? I have been trying to contact him for a month already, but he seems not to answer the phone and checking email so often, please tell me how can I contact him? Also I really want to replace the windscreen pillar trim, Targa Panel trim and roof trim after I buy it from Z-centre, does anyone know how to replace it, (as someone told me I can do it by myself, but someone told me I can't, I got a bit confused, as I am a new driver) All replied appreciated Thanks you very much.

Afternoon all, I've just had an email back from a guy I know in France who can get hold of at least 10 of these keys. His initial asking price was £120 but I'm pretty sure I can get him down to around the £80-90 mark if there's a few of us. If anyone's interested, let me know. Cheers Vijay

Hmmm, I set off and the light was still on  Restarted the engine, still on  Decided I must have disturbed a connection somewhere so carried on home via M5, M42, M40 with no probs... Got home... boot was open :D:D:D:o :o !!

We b oth got by and I slowed down to a cruise. He then flew by me so I thought not so fast! Left her in 5th and just followed him. He was wringing it's neck to keep away from me but he couldn't. I knewthey weren't good in the twisty's but til now didn't know just how bad! He slowed for even the smallest bends! Ivan

Regarding the trim on the T-top (the one that is about 3 inches away from the intersection with the window, and continues down each side of the windscreen to meet the bonnet) does anyone know how to restore it back to black again ? It appears to be fading to a greyish black with white-ish cloudy areas. Thanks John

Whilst on a motorway journey - my hot cat light came on for a few minutes. I've read on here that cleaning the contacts PTU might resolve this as it's likely to be unburnt fuel ingiting in the wrong place. I've also read where it is and what it is supposed to look like but I still can't find the damn thing. Has anyone got a photo of what it looks like? Incidentally the posting by Deano suggested that his car hesitated when the light came on - I got something similar. It was slightly lumpy when trying to cruise at a constant speed. Cheers Rod

I need another rad as the plastic end caps have cracked(this is rad number 2 this year!) once more. So - where can I get a full metal rad from and at what price? Are there other options like metal end caps fitted to the standard core? Would fitting a manual spec rad(without the autobox oil cooler) give me better cooling capabilities? Or are the two types of rad just as efficifent(sp?) as each other? (If I go the manual rad route then I was thinking of getting this:http://www.zcentre.co.uk/performance/perf2/oil_cool.htm) Cheers, Trev

Hi all, I've just removed the valve body/shift solenoids from my auto box, i've tested the solenoids and found the O/D and lock up solenoids to be ok, but the block of 3, shift A/B and L/P solenoids don't work....My question is, is it normal for all 3 solenoids to go down at once? Thanks Baz
