Iv had 2 heater matrix hoses perish on my car and nissan have charged me £43 for 2 small rubber pipes without the clips. Am i the only 1 that thinks this is a bit 2 much for two small pipes. Apparently courtesy nissan would have charged me half the price but the delivery would have been a problem as it would have taken a few days and im stuck without my car. Is there any1 out there other than nissan who supplys parts for the zed without ripping us off on prices, who is also based in the uk. Any ideas Cheers Fas

after fitting the 2nd tie rod poly bush and sway bar bush (did other side previous evening) the brake judder has 95% gone, so while out testing the car, 91na, and offering a new Z4 a run , I inadvertantly came across a pigeon sat in the road. Too late to take avoiding etc, I looked in the rear view mirror to see that the Z4 had declined my offer, and although there were feathers, the was no pigeon. When I got home, I opened the bonnet to find the engine covered in feathers, removed the front panel, but no bird. Going further down it transpired the bird had gone through (bent back) the stainless mesh I've fitted to the lower air dam and was resting (in peace) inside …

Hi Guys, Just a quick question: Are R33 Brembos (calipers and discs) from an R33 GTR different from R33 GTR (V-Spec)??? As the one I have sourced are form R33 GTR (not V-Spec). They are Black calipers and the disc size is apparently the same as the V-Spec (been told by the seller)! Your help will be higly appreciated "Ammar"

Morning all... Got a bit of a problem that I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some advice on.....the water feed pipe to one of my turbos is leaking, and given that its impossible to get to, I've got two choices: 1) Get the gearbox out, replace the pipe, job's a good 'un 2) Bypass the current pipe, but in doing this I believe that it may (or may not?) have a small detrimental affect to the turbo? Thought I'd seen something like this here before, and I thought that bypassing wasn't a problem. What do you guys think? Cheers

hi folks, getting conflicting prices for a cat back powerflow zorst with 4 x exits. Quoted from a powerflow garage yesterday £852.00 PLUS vat!!! Done many searches on here and it seems the normal is 300-500, know of a n/a which had full system from manifold back with cats removed for £800.00. Questioned garage and he said thw quote was normal, and anyone spending £300 for cat back must be buying $hit, but if its powerflow how can it be??? anyone had a cat back powerflow fitted, and approx how much, i don't mind travelling but im getting the feeling im being ripped off??? thanks. vicky x x

hello again folks, Well I still haven't got to the bottom of my smoking exhaust problem. The car doesn't smoke when cold. It only seems to smoke when left idling for a while when fully warmed up and then not always from one exhaust. Sometimes both exhausts smoke, sometimes its only one. The car has done 78500 miles so its probably the turbos. The smoke is mainly white but there is a slight smell of burning oil as well. I'm not too upset as thew turbos are covered under a warrenty but nly up to value of £1000. Does anyone out there have any idea of the cost of reconditioning the turbos at a nissan dealership? The only other cause for the smoke that I can th…

It is almost insurance renewal time, and I want to try and find a really good deal as in the past, I have not really had much choice... My current car is a 1989 N/A, standard save for modded tailgate panel. I have had this for about 2 months. Prior to this I had a N/A GTO and the insurance company have simply transferred the certificate at no extra cost. My premium for this current year is just under £2000.... This was due to 3 accidents in the past 5 years (1 in 2000, 2 in 2001), just 1 year NCB, and a slightly undesirable postcode. plus 6 points on the licence for speeding. The situation now, is the same, save for 2 years NCB and a more desirable po…

Looks like I'm loosing some sort of fluid, oil and auto transmission levels apear OK. Not sure if it may be power steering fluid, last time I checked the level it was Ok but today noticed a puddle on the floor along with a small black plastic cap (similar to one off a tube of glue or so) and the level has gone down. Does anyone know if there is a cap some where underneath which I'm hoping has just wound itself off and once replaced, all will be Ok :(

Driving to work this morning. The car started to stumble as I accelerated and when foot to floor she seems to hesitate as she approaches full boost. If driving easy she's fine only when accelerating hard. I have a new fuel pump, filter and F.Press.Regulator new plugs so dont think its a fueling problem Recently converted to manual but Not sure how that would effect it. No smoke from turbos so dont think its them . Car is stock mechanically 105K UK. Wondering could it be air intake or Mass flow sensor?? Any help appreciated as I am off to France in the Car friday (supposedly) Roy

Hello there folks, white smoke is coming from the exhausts of my twin turbo 1990 jap import. It doesn't smoke all the time. If you start if from cold - no smoke. When you take the car for a drive, get it up to operating temperature and then stop and leave the engine running, it doesn't smoke. Its only seems to smoke when after you take the car for a drive. Stop the car, leave it for a few minutes and then start it up again and then white smoke comes from the exhausts. Sometimes one exhaust is worse than the other. The boost gauge is reading finr (about 5 mmHg) and I think the oil presure is fine. (Come somebody out there tell me what the oil pre…

I know you are all proberbly fed up with this subject. But it is time to put the zed on the road and I am finding it really hard to find a company that will quote me on an import at all and thats before I tell them about the dr10. Have done a search and read lots of previous posts, rang suggested companies and most do not cover imports now. Can anyone who has just renewed insurance on an import, or is about to, suggest a company to try. regards kev

Can I use Lacquer on an amplifier ? I know these things get hot but I'm not sure if I laqcuer it will it blister or peel ? these were my amps before I painted them Then I painted them with Radiator paint good for up to 200 degres C. I would like them to shine a bit more and also hold the 300zx sticker in place as it's meant for a window although it is holding well. Any thoughts ?

Greetings fellow Zed Heds from Sunny Kent. I've stumbled upon this excellent forum while browsing for bits and pieces for my Zed. I wondered if anyone knew of some decent experts on 300's in and around my/your area? I've been ripped off severely several times and, having spent about 30K on this car, decided I should get some contacts that I can rely on. I have a few problems, the most annoying of which is with the brakes. 2 Callipers, 2 Discs and 4 brake pads later and I still get severe wobble on the steering wheel when breaking from reasonably high speed. Other problems include needing some welding done and tuning my new shiny Technics turbo's :-) Wel…
