I need another rad as the plastic end caps have cracked(this is rad number 2 this year!) once more. So - where can I get a full metal rad from and at what price? Are there other options like metal end caps fitted to the standard core? Would fitting a manual spec rad(without the autobox oil cooler) give me better cooling capabilities? Or are the two types of rad just as efficifent(sp?) as each other? (If I go the manual rad route then I was thinking of getting this:http://www.zcentre.co.uk/performance/perf2/oil_cool.htm) Cheers, Trev

Hi all, I've just removed the valve body/shift solenoids from my auto box, i've tested the solenoids and found the O/D and lock up solenoids to be ok, but the block of 3, shift A/B and L/P solenoids don't work....My question is, is it normal for all 3 solenoids to go down at once? Thanks Baz

Does anyone know what diameter vacuum piping we have in the TT engine bay? Gonna get some pretty coloured replacement but need to know what sizes and how much of each approx :) I think red piping will allow the air to flow fastest ;):D Cheers Pete

I got overtaken by two grinning lads in an M3, really dont know how they got into my test track complex, anyway I thought I'd test out the new chip + 12psi boost :D:D:D so I pulled along side them and they duly obliged :D They tried to keep up but I creamed all over them - muhahahaaaaa! From about 80-130ish :D:D. Far too easy! I exited the track further down and they passed with thumbs up :D:D  Pete

now then Ive just spent the last 2 hours reading through old posts about gutting cats or bying cat bypass pipes? I would, as many would prefer to gutt the cats you have. Mine a 92 import tt. many say dont gut because you'll have gas flow problems, but many have done this and its fine??. If it does create gas flow problems in the empty boxes does this create a slight backpressure? and can you gut them without spliting them? as you can all tell Im slightly confused about this weeks sunday job? many thanks JIM.

My local importer suggests that I have my car undersealed to help protect it against the road salt in winter. The cost id £85 + VAT. Seems like a good idea. Does this sound about right cost wise? I assume jap imports are not undersealed at the factory due to the fact that they don't salt the roads in Japan. All the best. Martin.

The brakes on my car squeal loudly under light pressure. Is this due to the type of pads fitted? Any help and advice appreciated. All the best. Martin.

Hello there, Are there any other Scottish owners on this list? I'm looking for a reputable garage to service and look after my 1989 TT import. I live in Edinburgh so somewhere in the central belt would be best. Cheers. Martin.

Has anyone ordered a propshaft centre bearing from courtesy nissan. I have done all the searches on here and on courtesy site. I have the part no (37521-33P25) which is for the uk one. Mine is a 1989 jap import tt auto and I can find no referance to this on any site. So what I am needing is the part no and preferable a link so I can order one. Here's hoping someone can help. regards kev

During heavy rain I get leaks at the junction of the T-top to window area. I have inspected the seals, they look ok, I lubricated them with that Holts Rubber Lubricant. Are there any 'fixes' for this problem, any mods to the lever mechanism that would clamp the tops tighter ? John

I need to take my car to Zedworld (Bristol to Tamworth) next week and leave it there for a few days, to sort out a power steering problem (and replace the front brake pads). Being a weekday, I've struggled to find someone to 'usher' me their and chauffeur me home. Being a member of The AA, I'm considering the best method of utilising my 'Home-Start relay Relay-Plus' membership. My options are: 1. Drive the car there, then contact The AA and ask them to take me home, then drop me to collect the car on Saturday. 2. Ask The AA to transport the car there then deliver it back to me on saturday. The car has not broken down, but steering and brake problems,…

Hi! I got code 53 from ECU diagnostic, but the car passed the "flash test" with engine running at 2000rpm for both sides. This give me 2 question: 1) May I take the "flash test" when the car hesitates/judders? (The car was running just fine when I did the test....of course!:) ) 2) Can the passenger side O2 sensor be damaged even though the "flash test" was good? Thanks! Confused EgilTT
