Took my new Z out for its proper drive on Saturday and it was fantastic!!! The only problem was that when I tried to start it on Sunday it wouldnt. Electrics like seats etc were still working, but it didnt seem to have enough juice to turn over. A rolling bump start got it going no problem, and after just a quick 2 minute trip around the block it was charged up enough that it started again an hour later, so I assume the altenator must be OK. One minor problem I have is that I dont think my boot is shuting too well and sometimes when it seems closed, the lack of click when I open it again suggests that it wasnt. So my question is, would having the boot not closed…

Does anyone know where to find the relay for the indicators? I have an auto electrician trying to fix a fault and I'm currently paying him to scratch his head!

Apexi S-AFC II fitted if so what do you think of it? Found a guy in the US that's selling 'em brand new for £180. This is the one with the Knock monitor function and allows setup at 200rpm increments... cheers Jon.....;)

a N/A 300 manual gearbox is identical to a TT gearbox? i.e is it the same or is the TT box an uprated item....?:confused: cheers Jon...

Had a shot in Leigh (Friday)'s zed yesterday with a single outlet jap exhaust. Must say I was amazed at the difference in sound over a dual exit, much much nicer. Sounds more like the sort of straight 6 sound from a supra or skyline, more sporty altogether. Going to have to see if I can get one when I get another car.

My car broke down yesterday while in the city of london. Im an AA member so i called them down took 1 1/2 hour to arrive and he couldint fix the water leak (it was leaking huge amounts of water through the rear of the engine) so he ordered a tow truck which took a further 2 hours. I

all the boost pressure seems to have dissapeared. no unusual noises, smoke, nothing. Engine runs and sounds fine just got no boost. Any ideas before i have to part with my hard earned at the local garage.......Richie.

No not that Sooty :rolleyes: ;) I normally use Autosol Chrome Cleaner stuff with a drill attachment but it's never really that effective unless you sit there for hours on end. But today I sprayed some Autocare Alloy Wheel Cleaner - from Tescos :D inside and left for a few minutes while I cleaned other bits. Then a quick rub with a rag and would you know it they are gleaming!! :cool: :D Next to no effort ;) :D Well chuffed! Ok. I was trying to figure out whose car this is. I know this car is in the UK. It's a 87+ 2+2. I use to have a front shot of it but now I don't know where it is. I was wondering what kind of rear spoiler is on it and what kind of rear bumper that is. Notice how the rear bumper doesn't stick out as far as stock bumpers. Or if it's not a kit, then what did the person do to get it like that. Also, what kind of bumper is at the front. I was guess that the front is a moddfied Kaminari lip. HI Guys... Ive done it... Ive bought Gary S's 300zx (see under GaryS in rides section) It's absolutely fabulous to drive (quick shift manual) and as it's a UK car the suspension is phenominal on the back roads - much more solid than the other imports I have driven over the last few days... Masses of power too...? more than the imports - thats probably *****x, but it certainly feels that way It's standard so it could be ballistic with a chip. Going to try out the 0-60 with a GPS system over the next few days - so that'll tell us whats what. Anyway... got a problem... I need to get to the ICE in the dash to connect up a new pair of rear speaker…

(First off thanks Mac for your phone roadside assistance) Was on the A3 saturday and had just had a little go at a RX7, was no means maxxing it out, when quite a bit of smoke came out of the back of the Z. Knowing my luck, first thing I think I've done is blown a turbo but it was transmission fluid leaking onto the exhaust. Pulled over straight away, looked underneath etc. Quite a bit must have come out judging by the smoke but on looking underneath there is only a drip. I check the level and thats ok, drive to a petrol garage about 2 miles away, park up, go inside and have something to eat. About 20 mins later, pull the car back to see how much has leaked out (ont…

Hi Peeps, Got my car back from PPS yesterday and had no problems with the car. It needed a jump start but after 300 miles the battery was fully charged :D. This morning it doesn't want to start. It turns over fine but just doesn't fire. ConZult Error shows all clear (55). I'm in the process of stripping the coil packs down to check the plugs. Any other ideas of things I can try if I don't find anything ?

Hi, Has anyone removed their orignal plastic accelerator pedal? If so how do you get the bloody thing off?? I've been trying with no luck and I can't get my big fooking head in the footwell enough to see what's going on. :mad: Cheers Guy

hi folks, time to treat zed to new rubber and alloys BUT I just have no idea what I need. Have looked at all sites, but just dont get all this offset/pcd stuff???? At the mo i have split rim 'linear sport' wheels, which are past the point of rescue, as they are genuine split rims with gasket etc, no refurbishment company wanna know - or if they do, quoting 5-600 sheets - wtf?? Outside is chrome and 5 spokes are alloy - and therin lies the problem. I have p zero 235-45-17 front and p zero 255-40-17 rears. Cannot nor wish to go to 18, so could anyone be kind enough to let me know what they are running on - i.e all the silly figures needed to order them ****girl…

need to get a new locking mechanism for my glove compartement. i`ve seen one on courtsey nissan website but is there anyway i can get one in the UK. preferably, a cheap one. cheers

My aircon has suddenly become less effective, blowing fairly cool and sometimes warm air, rather than the very cool air (when hot outside!!) that I'm used to.... Solution???

Thought id fix my squeaky brake today before billing next weekend, thing is when putting calliper back on i managed to kill the thread on the brake hose, so now ive got to change that, but to add to my problems, i tried to take the hose off and managed to round the nut off, so now i need to know where this pipe goes once it dissapears behind the wing (arrow in pic), and also any tips on how to free a very round bolt would be good. Cheers:( 6 days to billing, and im worried at the rate i work it will never be done!!! Also, if anyones got a brake hose lying about, they want to flog so i can fit it Sunday (nelsons closed:mad: ) i'd be greatful

Having just finished fitting my SBC ID & Power meter id I have hit a problem, the set up and operation instruction are all in Japanese!! any one know to a link to download or view set up instruction for both of these as yet they look erm nice but do not a fat deal..at all? Jefff TT

Just got a secondhand rad from AndyZ so I can get my Zed moveable. But the rad I got from Andy is different slightly: Here is the one from Andy - you can see the AT Cooler pipes on the left. This is my old one: As you can see it has a set of AT Cooler pipes on both sides. Close up. The manual has a pic of the type like I got from Andy: So, anyone know why the difference? And would it matter? Oh, also there doesnt seem to be any cracks of splits on my old one, Anybody have an idea where I can get the rad tested in SE London? I'm trying to work out why my cruise cont dosent work, (never has). I am tryin the diagnostics as described in the manual on page EL-104 and where i'm supposed to be testing for volts, the plug shown in the drawing is an 16 pin effort, the one on mine is a 20 pin. anyone know why? are jap and uk different? as the plugs are different i cant be sure im trying the right pins

anyone know what them parts are that sit behind the front wheel wellbehind the plastic cover ,they hav a pipe goin in to them from the exhaust. as i am taking the cats off would this setup be needed or can i do away with it all.

Guys Need your kind assistance once again. Was supposed to collect the Zed today after having new turbo's and other bits done. Just got a call from the mechanic informing me there's a problem :( He told me that somehow, water is getting in to the oil sump, resulting in white sludge on the dip stick and white smoke from the exhaust. He's checked the hoses, done a water pressure test and all is fine. Told me not to worry and he will investigate further on Monday. Whilst I do have faith in him, I am worried! He also said there may be a problem with the new turbo's but wanted to eliminate other possibilities before tackling the labourous turbo's. Does anyone ha…
