Hi guys, i've found a supplyer that will do a discount on EPROM Programer kit's that you build yourself, the kits will program the chip in the zed's ecu no probs. If your interested thrn just leave a post here if we get enough people we may gat a very very good deal the kits at the moment are about 70 euros, with out the discount. I'll even build the kit for you for an extra £15, that covers the time ans solder etc, i'll even possibly fit it all in a case for £25. Thanks People Mathew

Can anyone help??! I seem to be getting a rattle from the top of the engine. It seems to come and go. When it occurs if i turn the engine off and restart it a few minutes later it seems go. I have tried changing the oil and using a thicker oil. After changing the oil the rattle noise did not occur for a couple of weeks. I am thinking that it may be Tappets or a sticky valve? Has anyone else had a similar problem? cheers!

Would it be advisable to replace the oil cooler on my import auto 2+2 ? On this forum I have seen posts from people that suggest replacing the oil cooler will extend the life of the jap auto boxes, which people claim are a little weak. Is it a difficult job to do ? Thanks John

Has anyone here got the tailgate tub replacement for their Zed? I`ve been dandying around wondering which rear spoiler to go for and have just seen it on Lukes site. Any ideas? I woulf have thought it would reduce the weight of the tailgate by quite a bit.

Posting on behalf of SXOC member... Veilside MR2 turbo nicked off drive @1400 today. some thieving wnakers have pinched my sisters MR2 Turbo off of my parents drive just now. so if anyone in the sussex area see a veilside kitted black MR2 turbo for sale I'd appreciate a PM. or mail about it. The car is on a G plate and is running 18 inch aftermarket alloys. it will probably be broken as the kitis worth a lot on it's own. if someone could post this on the toyota club I'd appreciate it. cheers Steve steve@gtr.co.uk

O.K. I know this has probably been raised hundreds of times but I'm curious about the official perfomance comparisons between the two cars. I know the manual does 60 in a bout 6 seconds and 100 in about 15 - 16 seconds. What are the figures for the Auto? I've also heard that the auto's run slightly different boost pressure for more low down torque. Anyone care to comment? All the best. Martin.

Hi, I am new to the site having just purchased a 1992 300zx manual TT. Having previously owned a kit car based on very old technology, I think this will be a bit beyond me!!, so can anybody recommended a reasonable/reliable mechanic in South East London for any work I might need doing. Also, is there a Haynes manual for any bits I might attempt myself? Cheers, Andy

Morning, I just wondered if anyone has found better mounting rubbers for the back boxes? The problem I've got is that my rear bumper is moulded around the twin pipes and when I go over bumps, the exhaust moves around and bangs on the fibreglass opening. I'm hoping that better rubber mounts might stop this................ Cheers Vijay

Hi guys... Ive been to see an 89(G) Auto 75,000 miler - they are asking £9K for it - I have however bargained him down to £8K now... I know it's old and fairly high miles, but it is absolutely mint condition. About £4K spent on bodywork/wheels/tyres and 1.5K on engine(work done at the zed centre) 9 months ago well serviced since '97 when it was imported. I really want one that looks (and drives) this well, but I'm a little put off by the mileage/age of this car.... you guys know better than me - is this good value or way over-priced - if so, how much should I offer him? ...and if I go for it, am I going to have to fork out all the time f…

  16. If anyone can give me some help I would be sooo grateful. I am not mechanically minded so please bare with me. Driving home tonight I was in third gear just changing up to 4th when there was what can only be described as a loud hiss from the engine bay. From then on things aren't good. My poor car started to judder when the acelerator was depressed and was genuinely very poorly. Boost has gone .. no boost at all. I have Jap import and it hardly went above the 0. It would also start to fluctuate rev wise at junctions and just didn't want to go at all. Can anyone help? ... I am so gutted .... any ideas?

I'm removing mine at the moment but I'm wondering how far back I can strip it? The pipes seem to go into some sort if box thing then their is a tube that comes out and splits into 2 pipes, one goes into a small black box on the wing and the other pipes goes towards the back of the engine. Cheers Vijay

Guys, I know this is paranoid but I have to ask the question. Which radiator have I got - the one from the Zed with the busted engine or the one from the Zed with the busted auto gearbox? Its just that the radiator cools both and if there was a problem with the rad it just might?? have been the cause. I know that this is paranoid and I do trust you, not to pass on anything that you do not have confidence in. Just put my mind to rest - this hot weather seems to make me worry! Thanks

Hi, I'm about to fit my new stereo (when it arrives) and I've been reading about the "sunglasses & pens holder" that fills the other DIN hole. Now I may just be being a bit thick, but I can't picture what this would look like. Does anyone have a photo they could post before I shell out for one? Also if anyone has one for sale, I'd be v. interested. Also any alternative recommendations as to what to do with my spare DIN would be welcommed. Cheers
