Does any one know what thread is on the sump plug of a 1992 UK TT? The only way i can find out is to take mine off but i'm not ready for a oil change yet.

I have just bought a Blitz boost controller dual-SBC spec s and some HKS actuators but all the fitting instructions are in Japonese can anyone help?

Hiya mac so i have to take the plenum off. from ur picture its basically the top part of the engine how big of a job is that. iv seen the scimatics on the courtesy website for the positions of all the hoses and there all over the ****ing place the one that is leaking and giving me the problem is the one rear of the engine. if i take the top part of the engine off will i be able to access all the hoses at the rear. Other than the hose which is behind the gearbox are there any other hoses that are diffucult to replace on the zed. My mechanic has replaced a few of the hoses on the zed from previous customers. But never all of them (hes dreading to…

On a conzult u can record M/R F/C MNT-L and M/R F/C MNT-R, giving a rich or lean status. Is this basically the same as the o2 sensors voltage readings or does it get this info some other way? Reason i ask is im always getting lean status, yet my o2 sensors are disconnected as i still havent got round to putting my new ones in.

Hi Guys I know people have 19's on their Zed's but are there any problems with having 19 inch alloys. My new Zed has 18's on at the moment but i dont like them (5 spoke) so if i'm changing them i might put 19's on as long as there are no problems Cheers Kirbz

Been looking at this whole crap headlight scenario. Has anyone tried fitting new lights? (yes, it was sttarted by that conversion at Billing, but I refuse to pay £900 for it, I know I am tight, read the name) I was thinking about someof these semi-spherical driving lights fixed into the front bumper, either side of the plate. Opinions? would this just look duff?

I have searched the previous posts on vibration, non seam to be exactly like mine. I can feel vibration in the seat back which starts at about 40 and ends at about 50 or 55, and it does not seem to occur after been run for a while. Does this rule out prop shaft bearing ? If this bearing was gone would it get progressively worse with speed ? I have only had the car a couple of months, I have not had the prop shaft off, but I dont know if the previous owner did. My poor baby has taken to violently jolting at any speed(though curiously only when warm)and also rough idling.She hasn't been used much and I wondered if this coincided with the rain getting into her somewhere.Stuart(smw1) told me it sounds like the o2 sensors,but anyone else's pearls of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. my car is running in safety boost i have just checked the resistance of the sensor and it is knackered. i know it isnt recomended but does anyone know where i can get a 1meg ohm resistor to substitute. as far as i know there is no electronic suppliers in basingstoke area where i live. cheers ...lee

Is there any1 on here who has had these replaced at the rear of the engine bay without having to take the engine out coz from what iv seen its so tight between the engine and the bay. Itz virtually impossible to access them. Iv ordered a full 17 hose kit from courtesy and my mechanic is dreading the job as he goes its a nightmare to do it. Also theres a little hose between the gearbox which is impossible to do without the gearbox coming off he goes. Any solutions will be greatly appreciated. Fas (The zed is making me bankrupt) :( but i still love it :D

My bumper is f**ked. My house is surrounded by viscious speed bumps and has ripped the underneath of the bumper off!(see rides).What would be the best bumper, that looks like scarab or stillen one, but isn't fiber glass and can bend a bit? Thanks.

the drivers side stabilizer bar bush is driping stickey clear grease (like stp grease) can these be replaced or is it a new arm?? and of cause is it easy? jim.:)

when you boot it while in overdrive, does it drop to the same gear it would if not in overdrive ( if you know what i mean) cheers JIM.:)

my seat belts go all slack when your driving if you move forward they stay in the position you where in, if you press the red release button they get pulled back in nice and tight does anyone else have this problem with both? and how can it be sorted? cheers jim.:)

Yesterday, I started my manual import na z as usual, depressed the clutch and ended up with a squirt of grease on my ankle! I got my head as far into the footwell as possible to have a look but could see nothing. Everything still worked okay, although the clutch seemed a bit lighter. Today I was driving along quite happily, as usual, when something fell on my foot! It was a spring, about two inches long, covered with a plastic type covering. one end has a hook, the other end looked snapped. What is this for? All the pedals still seem to work. I'm just worried that all of a sudden i'm going to be stranded. All answers and help gratefully received as ever. …

Looking at doing the twin filter set up with one on each bank so as to do away with the top horn shaped pipe, but using an AFM on ech side, can i just splice into the main AFM harness on one side from the other AFM that i will be fitting, know what i mean ?? I assume even doing it this way there wil be benefits as i'm doing away with the top horn shaped pipe ? oh i will be having the SE chip that i've got re done again as i'm doing other things done at the same time, if that helps. Very happy with what i've got (below) but there's always room for more :D cheers smithy :cool:

Guys, I have noticed that at the drivers side back of the engine there is a white sheafed wire that leads to a connector which hangs down the back of the engine, probably should be attached to a clip or something, but it hangs and its OK there. There seems to be an identical wire on the other side too! Thing is, one of the wires coming out the other side of the connector (2 in total) is broken. NOW, the car runs fine (TOUCH WOOD Not sure what to do?!?! Does anyone know what this wire is?:confused:

Quick Q...... Would mucking about with the TPS effect how the auto box might change gear?? (eg holding out the gears longer, like its switched to 'power')

Hello there folks, I think my clutch may be going. Anyideas of whats involved cost wise for replacing it. I'll probably get my local importer to do it rather than tackle it myself. I'll try adjusting it first but if that doesn't help i'll need to get it replaced. Cheers. Martin.
