i currently have mines ecu and want to change to a jwt type chip as these seem to be the preferred chip. will my chip already be socketed , can i just unplug chip and replace with another or is there more to it? cheers ...lee

you seem to be the man to ask as you seem to know everything. i have the 300zx parts catalogue from se-nissan and in it there is a white wide arch with stillen front bumper. i am trying to find out what spoiler it has on it and where can i get one. it looks like the supra veilside one. any help you can give would be much appreciated. cheers ..lee

Ok well all im after is some general pionters on looking after my L reg Uk 300z TT ..the interiors seats in the front are cracked (leather) and the door material is worn and also the gear stick head....where do i go to remedy these things ...i live in essex near Stansted Airport...any advice would be great on anything you think i should try or look out for . And boy do these cars eat rear rubber or what lol....thanks in advance ;)..any good servicing and body shops too ..ta all

I noticed a few days ago the the temp guage would 'flick' down to nothing and then back to its normal reading under hardish acceleration. Today it began to do this more regularly until it spent more time reading nothing than something!!! Can't put my finger on when this happens as sometimes it comes back up under acceleration and then other times nothing!!! Has anyone come across this? Any ideas what I can check on this? Cheers

Arh crap, my first problem!!!! After getting back from Trax today, the missus noticed water leaking out from the engine bay. I've had a look and the leak is coming from just rear of the front wheel, passenger side. It is clear, odourless water and it was cold even though the engine was still warm. I'm guessing it is an aircon fluid leak would this sound right? (When I switched the AC on, it started leaking out a lot faster.)

Having just had to jack up the car and find a jacking point that would take the weight (and managed to bend the frame a wee bit by putting it in the wrong place....) I did a search for jacking. Someone said you can get an inflatable jack that attaches to the exhaust. Was that inflatable jack just a wind up? Can you really get it? If so I want one NOW. We had great shenannigens driving onto pieces of wood etc. and thought there has got to be a better way...

I know this has been posted on here a million times before, but could someone please give me a decent oil and filter to use on my N/A 92, 300zx. Is it best to buy a standard nissan oil filter or are there some spurious ones on the market out there? Thanks for any help - Mike

I have seen some of the nice body kit parts on the Zcentre page. Is something like a rear spoiler easily installed ? How is it fitted, is it bonded on ? Do you then mask around it and have it sprayed ? Thanks John

Hi, I just put 17in. Kahn wheels on in place of the stock 16s and now from the passengers side (back or front I am not totally sure) there is a ticking/clicking sound that gets faster as the car gets faster. I can't see any obstructions or liner rubbing on the tyre tread. The car was fine until the wheels went on. It is a SWB Jap non-turbo and I put on 9.5x17 at the back and 8x17 at the front. I know this might be a very elementary question but could someone give me an idea of what might be wrong. The wheels made no noise at all until I drove off after the new ones were fitted. Hi folks I'm about to reconnect my water pipes, from the back of the engine, to the metal pipes connected to the heater matrix. Only problem is I've forgotten which on goes where :rolleyes: . Standing in front of the engine, there is a left and a right pipe on the back of the engine which connects to the metal pipes, running through the firewall to the footwell & heater matrix, one at higher level and slightly to the left of the other. Does the left pipe, at engine rear, connect to the lower right metal pipe to the heater matrix or the higher left????? Response much appreciated. Van

Can anyone point me in the direct of a good 'how to do it' guide on removing the centre console over the ashtray? As an ardent non-smoker I was thinking of building my ICE remote into it, so I don't have to reach to the controls. All help and guidance gratefully received.

while fiddling around with the oil sensor I noticed I have a leak in one of the clutch hoses (see attached pic). Quite a small leak, only have a few drips in my parking space. I've also recently noticed it's difficult getting out of gear when maneuvering (sp?) around when cold. Could this be the cause? Is it just a case of ordering a new cable from MJP and changing it over (assuming I'll have to drain and refill system while I'm at it) Thank for your help :D

How much time should I allow for removing one tension rod ? I am replacing the drivers side one. I bought the Nissan bushing from Mike F and need to figure out how much time to allow to remove it and get it to the garage that can press out the old one and press the new one in Thanks John

YO, i took my ECU out today to have a look at chipping it, only to find i cant find the chip i need to replace :s and i seem to be missing the daughter board. any idead where the chip is i need to replace on this thing? and why im missing the daughter board. nothing to do with hicas is it? cos my car is a '95 and so has the electronic hicas, not hydraulic. any ideas dudes? cheers

Still no luck starting my car. I have done the following: CAS 1) Checked the CAS, turned ignition on and rotated the CAS, each injector is firing. Removed CAS and put it on Cerina's, works fine. Cleaned up the connector (both sides) as it was a little green. PTU 2) Removed my Series 2 PTU and fitted it to Cerina's car, works fine. Cleaned up the connectors and checked the earth wire and got 0 ohms resistance. Plugs 3) Changed all spark plugs, re checked for spark but it's so small it's not worth talking about. Checked resistance of the coil packs less than 0.7ohms (well was 0 to be precise). Tried getting a spark with Cerina's coil pack, no luck. Tire…

Hi everyone, just got 93 tt auto in silver & love it!! I want to make some modifications to it, (it already has sports exhaust) Just trying to find out what are the good ones to fit? I only want to spend about £1k & dont want nothing to heavy that might damage the engine through overstress i.e. chipping. Thought about things like turbo timer,extra fans,air filter or any other options. Anyone got a good combination especialy as i like it to sound nice. Also live in portsmouth area anyone know any good mechanics/dealers :)

I am going to buy HKS gearbox oil cooler, it will cost me 120 (does it make any sense), but the supplier ask me which hoses I want (3/8" or 5/16" hoses with the kit), and the size of the hosing apparently depends on the fittings on the cars gearbox ofr the oil line (i dont know the size on this car), so does anyone know which size is suit for my z (90 TT Auto)? Also I tried to contact the supplier to ask the price for the HKS induction kit, and the price they offered me is 200, is it sensible? do I need to buy two induction kits to fit for my TT? all advised appreciated.

Has anyone built a decent boot build with subs etc and can still access their spare wheel. I cant put my spare in at the moment but i'm going to re-build the boot, i just wanted some ideas. I also need bass so i dont want to put some small speakers in ;) I want big subs and hurtful bass :D Ideas will be welcome Thanks Kirbz
