Hi, Just wondering for a 300zx (UK TT), If I do about 300 odd miles a week (150 - 200 miles at 70ish mph ;) , 50miles at 50ish, and the rest 1-30 odd mph) you got any idea how much it is gonna cost roughly??? - I am looking at the petrol prices. What is the average miles and average spend for petrol a week/month/year??? Oh, and I seriously like to thrash cars :D every now and again, so will that cost a lot more in petrol consumption on the 300zx?? Cheers for any help.

Just built a set of wood car ramps, low slope, 60" long, 10" rise. 5 pieces of 2" thick x 9" wide wood, each one 9" shorter than the one below it. Cost £33 in wood.

I had a call from GPS today saying they are having trouble getting the greddy e-01?? After a lengthy conversation he has recommended the BLITZ SBC-iD AND POWER METER iD Is there any benifits from having either?? Also i was having the greddy emanage ecu fitted as this would connect nicly with the e-01 so if i go for the blitz what ecu do i get?? My zed is fastly burning a massive hole in my pocket so funds are now limited and the blitz is more expensive but gps say its better but for a similay price i could have the greddy e-01 and the emanage. Whilst trying to examine the connector to the Temp. sender the damn wire broke so I urgently need a new connector. I've ordered a new temp sender unit from Nissan but ofcourse they don't supply a connector as this is part of the wiring loom. So where can I get a connector for the temp sender??? Also will the car start and run without a connection to the temp sender, or will it confuse the poor old ECU? Help urgently needed. Thanks, Geoff. Geoff.

hi all, assistance required, as usual!!! just got my Z back from the garage. We had to replace the coolant sensor as the fans were on all the time, but i still have an underlying problem. If i put my foot down it takes off ok but then seems to hit a massive flat spot. It seems to sort of surge pick up a bit then flat spots again. i don't like driving it like this, as something is not right. Diagnostics show nothing is wrong, but the garage says this is not infallable. Any ideas of anything i can check, otherwise it'll have to go back in for a more time consuming check over. many thanks rog

I have had the car a week and it has picked up two nasty stone chips on the panel between the headlights. Is there any way to stop this? Anyone used any protector or anything? Is there anything that can be done?

Hi all, Just a quick notification to announce with great pleasure that the website of DTA-Motorsport.co.uk, http://www.dta-motorsport.co.uk, is finally up-and-running and open for business! You may encounter a few bad links and/or non-functioning forms but I am still in the process of streamlining the site. We ask for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience. Coming in the next day or so will be two group buys: (1) A'PEXi PowerFlow induction kits (£100 ea incl. p+p) - for 300ZX (Z32) and Pulsar/Gti-R (possibly for 200SX's as well) (2) GZA Chromed Engine Parts - i.e., chrome speedo rings and sets of covers (various prices - see group …

Hi everyone, As i'm new to the Z world after only having my 1990 TT for a few weeks i need some advice from you fine people on what things i should be looking out for and things i should be doing to keep this car in top condition. I bought the car from an import auction but there is no service history with it but would'nt be able to understand it anyway cos of the different language, so how do i know or how could i possibly tell if it has had belts, tentioners, waterpumps etc etc changed recently, i get the feeling that this car has gone without an MOT for some time as both headlight bulbs had gone and both rear tyres were slicks, there is some sort of writing a…

Hi My Jap import has come with a boost solenoid but no head unit. I'd like to find a compatible head unit but I'm not sure what the original unit was. I've been told that the boost solenoid under my bonnet is an HKS EVC 1. Do the following pictures of it resemble the one you used to own? Many thanks Jon

Hallo all - I have had a couple of good recommendations about bodyshops. Dosthill Bodyshop in Tamworth which does a lot of work for Zedworld's customers. Also FG Accident Repair in Nottingham which does a lot for Z Centre's customers. PPS has an awesome rep but is too bloody far so please don't suggest it! I can't afford the time to flatbed it up there and fly back (plus that's not cheap). I need someone who has a knowledge of Zeds and can do accident repair not just respray. The above two are the closest I have found to Heathrow. This is only a request for info not a firestarter - so please feel free to pm/e-mail instead of posting. TIA - Gio PS …

Well the other week I posted about the hesitation and lack of smoothness in the running of the car. Since having the car chipped and the exhausts done it's probably more noticable. Having done searches on the forum it seems to point to the coil pack connectors. I have looked at them before and some of the little clips are broken. Will broken clips cause the problem of not getting enough connection? However, originally I also had the usual problem of the fluctuating temp guage caused by the TPS. I disconnected it cleaned it and it is fine. But last Sunday it played up again so I wiggled the TPS and then it was fine. If there is a fault with the TPS could this be caus…

  24. Started by RobH,

Hi All, Just tying up a loose end. I changed the TPS around about the same time my timing started going screwy and my car detonating. Checked the settings at the TPS connector (had been reading from AVC-R) and they came in at about 0.45 while closed and 4.55 when full throttle. I had to drop the closed voltage to 0.285 V (about as far as it would go) to get the reading to 4.1V when open - anyone able to confirm that these results are ok?? - I'm wondering if I've installed a dud TPS. TIA! RobH
