Temperature Guage...

I noticed a few days ago the the temp guage would 'flick' down to nothing and then back to its normal reading under hardish acceleration. Today it began to do this more regularly until it spent more time reading nothing than something!!! Can't put my finger on when this happens as sometimes it comes back up under acceleration and then other times nothing!!!

Has anyone come across this? Any ideas what I can check on this?

Cheers

try cleaning the tenp sender connection on your top rad pipe. as you look at engine ,aluminium pipe running across front of timing belt cover. it has 2 connectors on it, i think it is the right one, just pull it off it should be spade type connector. clean with some sort of contact cleaner.

Thanks...will give that a try tomorrow night!!
