well me oil pressure gauge problem has now been diagnosed, as a faulty oil pressure switch!!!! Quoted 80 friggin quid :shock: from nissan for a switch!! wondered if anybody either has one or knows a cheaper place to get one from?? whilst i am on the cadge has anyone got a spare passenger side rear seatbelt for a z? thanx guys

Exhaut done, induction to be done Thursday... then ECU if I can find out a bit more about that. After these three things what kind of BHP will my otherwise standard NA have, roughly? How much is the at-the-wheels figure less than the flywheel? If it's 222 BHP as standard, how much is it likely that I would have gained by exhaust and induction? and then after that how much could I gain by fitting a suitable chip?

Hi everybody. Just a couple of questions. Firstly, the battery. Can someone post a pic of their battery tray/clamp arrangement? I only ask this because my battery is not clamped at all. And I'm not too sure if it's the original tray. It's a white plastic affair. Secondly. Bonnet lining. Is this just a sound deadening thing? Or does it insulate heat as well? Has anyone taken this off? I don't want it to ruin my bonnet's paintwork with the heat from the engine bay. I just ask because mine has gone a little manky near the windscreen area so looking at it, it would look nice as just polished paintwork under there. Any help would, as usual, be greatly appreciat…

I'm getting the Induction sorted out on Thursday. Will it make any difference to the power/feel of the car as I have also had the exhaust done too? I got used to the exhaust sound- will the induction change the engine note too?

I have booked eValet to come and touch in two small but fairly deep stone chips. I know some people have had them do some work but the guy described two ways they could fill the chip- cheap and expensive (basically). Cheap- fill it at the spot, and it would be visible-ish (70% improvment he said), or expensive which will be invisible, but involves them spraying a bigger area and laquering it. Should I trust the 'invisible' method- I mean will they get a colour match? The web site said something about a gizmo that matches the actual paint colour on the car in some electronic way so that it really is an exact match. Should I trust it? If not, what should I do with…

Just in the process of fitting the fuel line kit from Smithy (great bit of kit) ;) , Ive fitted the two main braided hoses across the plenum, just two quick questions. 1 the bottom pipe on the fuel rail (i guess its air), one end goes to a box at the side of the battery, can I replace the two ends with one piece of red silicone? 2 Ive also got a small 2" piece of braided hose, where should this go? Just a quick hello and cheers for calling by yesterday to Silverfox! We'd never met before other than passing each other in our zeds. I was dutifully waxing away when a very nice black NA cruised passed, then revesed back up the street and out hoped the man himself for a bit of a Zed chit-chat!! Over since the moron hit the drivers side of my car my clutch has seemed heavier than it used to be. Is there anything under the wing that is part of the clutch booster system, such as some vacuum piping. At idle there always appears to be a bit of a whistle coming from the driver side rear of the engine bay. This takes a fraction of a second to stop after the engine is switched of. I've changed all the 4mm vacuum piping around here in an attempt to stabilize the idle, but no luck so far.

Guys can you help answer: Are the Import TT front break pads the same as the UK ones? and are the 2+2 pads the same as for the 2+0? Can you guess I got an import 2+0 :D If not where can I get the part codes from? Done a search but no obvious thread found. Cheers Mark

Had a new single exit exhaust made up on Friday by Leon at Alunox exhausts (07811 196727). This design is probably a bit OTT for most people but it sounds amazing. The fit is perfect too. Can't recommend this bloke enough - as he's a proper industrial exhaust specialist he knows about pressure drop and fluid dynamics so the design gives thought to it, no sharp bends, proper collector design, tapered steps etc. Also, the whole thing is TIG, not MIG welded and is proper 316L pipe, not cheap high carbon tube as most places use. Lending him my spare engine to jig some manifolds up on and he already has jigs for divorced flange downpipes. Here are some pics: …

Hi I'm deciding which set of main pipes to invest in they will prob will be Scarab from the Zcentre but i want it to be loud but not so loud i keep gettin pulled by the fuzz. Will i be able to get away with some 2.5" straight through pipes without cats or silencers and what sort of HP gain should i expect also would i notice the difference with them?

guys, have just got a set of clear indicators (need a bit of fettling to fit -uk spec and mines a jap!!) where can i get bulbs that will show orange when lit but are silver when not on, hate the "fried egg" effect!! or has anybody got any i could buy :D thanx
