Ill soon be looking to buy a new exhaust soon as mine is in a bit of a state. Can anybody recommend a decent fabricator down South? Im looking for a nice V6 rumble to compete with the local Supra that sounds f*ckin awesome!:D Anyone have any sound recordings of theirs? Cheers Wolfie

My (new) exhaust rattles when I go off the accellerator, and it's getting to be very annoying. It's decatted and the heat shield has been cut away, so it's not that. Is it likely to be just the metal vibrating against the car body? If so how do I get rid of it? I took it back to the fitter who took off a support bar from the old exhaust, but it's still noisy. Any other ideas?

can anyone let me know or direct me to a thread where I can find a list of repitable importers. I know there are a lot of dodgy ones out there at the moment. preferably ones in the se area. tonks! Hi, My rear shocks keep leaking oil everywhere. When I first got my zed from Japan it came with Trust shocks all round which I was over the moon with. When it came to MOT time they found one of the rears was leaking oil. Not a big probelme though because the kind previous jap owner had put the origainals in the boot. They replaced the trust rears with these and they seemed fine untill about a month later when both of the rears started leaking. Before I splash out on some new ones is there anything that could be causing this like a dodgy part putting excess strain on the rear shock or have I just been unlucky? Thanks, Justin

:confused: Im getting new tyres on sat, have to order them tomo so any replies tonight (tues) appreciated. My local tyre guy can get me Goodyear eagle F1's GSD3 225/50x16 £94. fitted , good price! But on the rear, 245/45x16 he says he can only get GSD2's £103. , but they have a slightly different tread pattern from GSD3's (grooves arent so long ). Does anyone know if you can get GSD3's in 245/45x16 or is he right? I've looked on http://www.mytyres.co.uk and they dont do them , as he says. Cheers,

Can anyone help me ? I am at my wits end with my f'ing speedo. It works and dies on a completely arbitrary basis. The problem is every time the car is in for a service it's working and they can't find a problem - and then just as I get the damn thing home it stops working !!! I've noticed that if the first manouver in the morning is reversing (out of the garage for example) then it kills it but even then that isn't necessarily consistent. And of course when the speedo dies then very often so does the power steering - but not always :confused: All suggestions gratefully received :( Mark

Guys, I am in need of the measuremnts for the centre nut on these MX5 alloys as I have similar ones on my Zed, they are just much bigger. I am missing one of the centre nuts though and am sure they are the same size as the MX5's. If anyone has a MX5 with these alloys could they please tell me the measurements? A long shot on a Zed forum I guess but I have tried the MX5 forums and they are crap. Everyone should buys zeds just for an excuse to use this forum! Cheers, Justin

This weekend I will be changing the front brake pads, and possibly removing the calipers, as I suspect the inside ones maybe seized (based upon less wear on the inside pads) If I have to remove them, do you have any tips for caliper removal and pad replacement, or is it straight forward? Is it true you have changed the steering wheel and re located the cruise control buttons?? if so can you help me as i have a lovely sparco wheel that i want to put on but i want to keep my cruise controls as well (cake and eat it you know the score ;) ) thanks matey

What is the stock boost pressure, I think I have a problem as the boost reads 6psi on the after market gauge but the stock gauge reads just below the end . Any ideas? cheerz, mickey

Even though the M.O.T. does not check for a spare tyre, or even if there is one it can be bald and flat, is it correct that if you get stopped by the cops you can get done for not having a spare or for having a spare with not enough tread or underinflated? Thanks John

Anyone know about the loophole that has now been closed for post 97 Jap import cars ? All i know is Supra TT and GTR Skylines (amongst others) will not pass the mot or SVA any longer - is this correct ? If so what about other cars - specifically TT or N/A ZX's etc? I mean, if i want to import a car (say a 200sx) thats post 97 - will i get away with it, or not? Im hearing lots of rumours about taking the cars back to standard for the SVA etc

After fitting a JWT filter, should there be much difference in fuel consumption?. I may be imagining it but seems to be depleating faster than usual. I also disconnected the batt when fitting so I guess the ECU is still learning, would this have an effect?. Cheers.

Is this normal? If I open the bonnet up and rev my engine (1990 NA Jspec) I get quite a shake at high revs (and not even that high). Quite frankly the old fiesta I drove this weekend was more comfortable because there is no vibration through the seats, steering wheel and gear lever. Am I missing something on the mountings?

Now i've had a twin turbo for about 3 weeks and used to it i need to make it faster!!!! Can anyone give me a rough idea of cost and recommend product for a boost controller.I also think i need to change the ECU slightly,not sure exactly what but again some advice would be good.
