Has anybody changed an aerial mast? A new one is a little pricey for me. Any help would be much appreciated

advice needed when selecting gear car wont drive. switch off ign then switch back on car drives for 30 sec then losses drive their is a whineing noise from gearbox. took car to garage drained oil there is small deposits of copper and fibre in it. have been told gearbox is breaking up and would have to be reccond and new oil cooler fitted. who would be the best place to do this and roughly how much. cheers :cry:

Whilst on holidays saturday, i saw a Red Zed in Redruth - reg OIL something v.nice And a silver Zed today parked up in Hayle (Cornwall) - also v.nice

front bumper is hanging off :( going to miss my one,looks the part but is beyond repair.My friends works in a bodyshop and is ordering some body kits made by trust, does anyone know where i can view pics of trust bodykits,just so i know what im getting b4 i order, also what can i do with my front suspension,as it sits to low at the front,hence the need 4 a new front bumper,the shocks are made by gab and there only ajustable by ascrew that sets comfort,not height what can i do thanks greg :)

Just got a quote from a guy who will re-trim all my interior (tweed) and seats with a lovely Z logo for £895. How does this sound? I thought it was pretty good but its the first quote I have got. He has done 300's before which I like the idea of.

I've been having intermittant misfire/cylinder down etc. Ran this morning from cold perfect and went to see Steve and coming home a cylinder went down. Steve and i notice a few things to try and so i just wanted to see if anyone else had tried them and if so what results they had. 1: Move top water pipe further down the ali pipe to increase distance between rubber hose and PTU. 2: Remove the sound insulation from underside of bonnet. 3: Make a heat shield to go between the water hose and PTU. I was also wondering if its the PTU unit overheating or the heat from the engine affecting it? If its the first would covering the back face in heat transfer paste …

Could some one please help i have just bought my 300zx and want to put some dump valves on it but im not certin if i need 1 or 2 Could someone please advise Thanks :slap:

:confused: For the past week I have been experiencing a fast idle up to 1.5k instead of the usual 750/800, which is most anoying in an auto ( NA by the way). Checked Yellow connector to rad. Cleaned it and all ok (Elec fan does not come on unless v.hot). anybody got any thoughts!? :bow: Please.

When I was driving up the A1 yesterday, i could hear a vibrating noise coming from the rear of the car. Now it was very bad weather so there was plenty of buffeting going on. On investigation this morning I've discovered that I can lift the outter edges of the boot lid :confused: Has anyone had this problem before, and if so how did you cure it? I have got an after market spoiler on, so i assume that may be caurseing it. I'm also considering taking this off and putting the original style one on (fibreglass version) PS - If anyone is interested in this spoiler, let me know :D but I've no idea when I'll be changing it.

Im having a problem at the mo, whereby when Idling and you rev it tickover drops to 500 then climbs back to 800 ish. JD suggested it may be the BOV's. Anyone else have TurboXS and suffering the same problem? Cheers

Hello, You may or may not have noticed that i put my z up for sale but have decided to keep it now as really cant part with it, have almost finished retriming the interior panels, looks great and in the past couple of months i have had the rear boxes changed and a stillen induction kit. Any ideas on what i should get next as i really want to start to play with it now but without spending to much money (probably not possible) i would like to put dump valves but really dont fancy spending 400 notes just for a noise dont suppose there are cheapers ones about? hello folks, i'm new here and need some help in locating a new front bumper, preferably a urethane one. Does anyone know of any UK suppliers of these as i'm having trouble getting in touch with the Z centre and may need an alternative now. Thanks

Have a problem with my power steering. At low speeds it occasionally (but increasingly often) just cuts out. The other symptom I have – which from previous posts I’ve seen I guess is linked – is that at speeds any less than about 20mph my speedo needle just drops to zero. Is this most likely to be speed sensor or kph to mph converter thing playing up? If it’s the speed sensor, is there likely to be a magic contact cleaning type fix or is it another credit card job?? Anyone got one of these on their cars? John set mine up as best as possible without instructions but am looking to fine tune it. I have the installation and self learn instructinos but nothing else. What settings have you set yours up on? (with supporting mods)

Anyone fitted these ?. Do you know if you need to fill all the bolt holes ?. What I mean is do the bolt holes link the the inside of the IC ?. I only used two of the bolt holes on each IC and I have a bit of a large boost leak. Where I'm usuaully running 16 psi I'm getting about 10.5 :eek:. I'm thinking that this mat be the cause. If someone from the group buy hasn't fitted theirs yet can you do me a favour and blow into the bolt holes to see if there is an airway there or it's closed off. Thanks.
