Well I know I asked a lot of questions before I bought my boost controller. Today I finally got round to fitting the remote into the ash-tray. I'm fairly pleased with the result, though the fit of the lid needs some fine adjustment. I had to file away more of the ash-tray casing than I would have liked, so it doesn't quite line up the way it used to. I had planned to take an hour to do this job, but it has taken more like 4 with all the hassles! (the plastic is well brittle and cracks if put under any strain). But anyway, here, for those who are interested, is the finished deal. Boost controller remote neatly hidden beneath the still functioning ash-tray lid. …

I spent most of yesterday refurbishing my Nissan rims. Rubbed them down with 800 wet'n'dry emery cloth Primed them with grey Plasti Cote primer Sprayed them with Halfords Wheel Paint Silver Sprayed them with Halfords Clear Lacquer I am well pleased, looks like brand new, if they get me through the summer I will be well happy.

Hello all, Does anyone know how to disengage the HICAS system, i have read an old thread, and the advise was to undo one plug at the hicas unit and join two wires together. There is two obvious plugs, one has three wires to it and the other has two wires. But the one with two wires is linked to the steering fluid bottle. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks :slap: Inti.

  10. Hi, I am after getting some parts from the states. Can anyone recommend a website that I can get both uprated aftermarket bits as well as Nissan parts. I am after some KYB shocks and a prop bearing. Understandably I don't really want to pay double bubble when it comes to the shipping costs from buying from 2 different companies. Thanks, Justin

i think a few people have done it, can you tell me what problems you were having before and which ones went after the diff was replaced. Do you also think it's worth changing the oil on it? Thanks! PS I think twin plate clutch and using a knackered prop for over a year could have upset it

Just looked at the left front brake pads, outside ones are worn a hell of a lot more than the inside ones, does this suggest seized pistons on the inside? When I replace the pads, should I be also be doing a caliper rebuild? if so, wheres the best place for caliper kits and standard brake pads? Thanks John

Just toying with the idea of fitting a lightened flywheel. Has anyone fitted one and if so does it really make the engine more responsive because after all it is a fraction of the weight of the crank, gearbox input shaft (or torque convertor) plus pulley (+ everything attached to it). Cheers DaveMac

With traction control seemingly the best thought of modification (see "What's Your Favourite Modification" thread), I'm surprised that more people aren't interested in preventing their pride and joy from sliding off into the deep blue yonder! Johnny from Grasshopper Motorsport offered a Group Buy on the Racelogic Traction Control system a couple of months back with up to 30% discount but only two were interested. I wanted the Traction Control (TC) for the security so that if I did cock things up (again), I wouldn't end up going backwards through the nearest hedge. I got fed-up of blasting past Scoobys and the like down the straights only to for them to catch me …

I know this is a bit sad, but I just caught a bit of QVC and they're flogging the Power Green thingy again, ( a magnet that you stick on your fuel line) claiming improved fuel economy and increased power output.Find it all a bit hard to believe but they flashed up a graph showing a 6% increase in power output on a Skyline GTR. So two points, if they're lying how do they get away with it, how about someone on here who gets their car dyno'd getting one and testing it (maybe get club funds for the £30 purchase price).
