has anybody got a picture or something on where the standard dump valves are hidden .what does it take to remove them ,what will I have to replace :confused:

I just bought my first Z32!! It has a grade A turbo gauge installed, as well as apexi boost controllers and apexi air flow cotroller. I installed a sound system in it and now the grade A gauge stays at 1 bar, but the apexi boost controller still tells you what bar you go to. Is this a electrical connection i have Disturbed putting in the head unit or something wrong with the turbos? Also when i am giving her a bit of a blast, 4 gear crunches. But the 4th gear works fine driving normal, any ideas?

Hello, Just started to retrim the tweed panels with vinyl, i have just finished the arm rest (lid) as this is the easiest bit to remove and am now going to start the rest. Is there any site of details of how to remove the other panels as i dont want to try it and break anything with out someones knowledge. Thanks Ant. Really pleased as managed to get 350 miles out of a full tank :p instead of the usual 200 :cry:

As I am having problems getting a sill for a SWB would it be possible to just get a LWB one and cut it to fit or would that take alot of strength out?

Hi, I'm coming back to the UK this summer having spent the last three years in Japan. I will be bringing my car back with me - a 1990 TT 2+2 automatic. Because the car is more than 10 years old I believe it only has to pass a basic MOT upon arrival in the UK. Right? My questions are: 1/ Where does the MOT have to be done? Before the car leaves the port, or somewhere of my choosing within a specific time frame? 2/ What modification do I have to make to the Japanese car to pass the MOT. So far, my understanding is that the following need to be changed; please correct me if i'm wrong: Speedo Rear fog lights Fuel filler size adapter …

Just fitted an amp in the boot and wired it all up with fat wires all the way to the doors and rear speakers. 2 questions 1. Is it OK to just disconnect the speaker outputs from the head unit now the 4 channel amp is wired to the speakers because thats what I did? 2. It sounds great till I start the engine then the alternator whines thru the quiet bits like a 747 taxiing. Do I need a capacitor or is it because I routed the power lead along with the speaker and phono leads?

Well I know I asked a lot of questions before I bought my boost controller. Today I finally got round to fitting the remote into the ash-tray. I'm fairly pleased with the result, though the fit of the lid needs some fine adjustment. I had to file away more of the ash-tray casing than I would have liked, so it doesn't quite line up the way it used to. I had planned to take an hour to do this job, but it has taken more like 4 with all the hassles! (the plastic is well brittle and cracks if put under any strain). But anyway, here, for those who are interested, is the finished deal. Boost controller remote neatly hidden beneath the still functioning ash-tray lid. …

In 1st 2nd and 3rd gear i can get full power down in 4th or 5th gear when i boost my engine note and revs rise quickly but car does not go faster, the revs then drop down to an acceptable value for the speed. is this my clutch showing signs of wear?

Just finnished looks great took about an hour only one problem when i come to a complete stop the car goes bong as if ive opened the door with the lights on!!!

I spent most of yesterday refurbishing my Nissan rims. Rubbed them down with 800 wet'n'dry emery cloth Primed them with grey Plasti Cote primer Sprayed them with Halfords Wheel Paint Silver Sprayed them with Halfords Clear Lacquer I am well pleased, looks like brand new, if they get me through the summer I will be well happy.

Hello all, Does anyone know how to disengage the HICAS system, i have read an old thread, and the advise was to undo one plug at the hicas unit and join two wires together. There is two obvious plugs, one has three wires to it and the other has two wires. But the one with two wires is linked to the steering fluid bottle. Any ideas will be appreciated. Hi, I am after getting some parts from the states. Can anyone recommend a website that I can get both uprated aftermarket bits as well as Nissan parts. I am after some KYB shocks and a prop bearing. im eventually having the wings west mid height rear spoiler fitted and the 99 spec front end with full re spray , my question is should i remove and smooth over the rear wiper or leave it in place , ??? i have seen a 300 with the rear wiper removed and smoothed over and i liked it but i would welcome other opinions on this mod ..come on fellas and ladies whats the joint opinion should i go for it or not ?? the car never goes out in the rain anyway Steve

Hiya people got oil coming out of my exhaust and a horrid whirring /grindy noise when i boot it... :cry: :cry: think turbo bearing/seal has gone it's smoking on tickover and over run 1. need 2 turbos, as 1 has gone.... 2. need new gaitors on rear suspension 3. need new hubs so i can put on new 17" wheels of all the luck....

been buggin me for ages decided to strip the mirror down as it doesent work and doesent fold like the passenger side,cleaned contacts,but obviously they opperate on amotor.has any one had problems with theres id like it to work so where can iget a new one if i need to hope someone can help!!cheerzz ;)

i think a few people have done it, can you tell me what problems you were having before and which ones went after the diff was replaced. Do you also think it's worth changing the oil on it? Thanks! PS I think twin plate clutch and using a knackered prop for over a year could have upset it :cry:
