Bad news today, took car out and its running permanently in safety boost 7psi, I have noticed turbos whining more than usual when spinning up. Checked diagonistics got code 55 no faults recorded. Does this sound like a boost leak. Car modified with jwt chip running 13psi normally.

I may be selling my front leather seats, both in excellent condition. Anyone any idea how much they go for? How much AndyZ knocks them out for maybe? Cheers.

I have fitted some HID lights, and just for good measure I also took out the lights, cleaned em and did the 'bacofoil' job too! Now I really can see where I'm going and it's a pleasure to get flashed coz my lights are too fkin bright  I'd put a pic on if I knew how

At the end of January, some twat wrecked all the panels on the drivers side of my Zed, including the front wing. At the time I noticed that the clutch seemed a lot heavier than usual but this was dismissed by the body shop that did the repairs (before they had even looked at the car). I've since discovered that the clutch booster vacuum system is leaking (while investigating a crappy idle) and I'm pretty certain the leak is at the tank which must have been damaged by the collision. I don'y see how any those hoses could have developed a leak. Would I be wasting my time chasing the Insurers to fix it. When I took delivery of the repaired car I wrote "Repair Unchec…

Driving to work this morning (fast), I suddenly heard a 'thud' under the car. Carried on thinking it may just be some debris but couldn't see anything on the motorway. After a while a red warning light came on the dash. After looking through some past posts I think it's the CAT overheating light (I have a Jap Spec TT). Anyway, got to work with no problems, got out and looked under the car to see a cable broken in half and hanging down. My questions is, my car does not have CAT's and the previous owner has confirmed this. What else can cause this light to come on? I will be taking her to the garage this week to have the cable checked/replaced anyway but I am just wondering…

I got my car back a couple of days ago after having a cam belt change. After a couple of days driving locally the car was running well so I took it out for a drive. It didn't miss a beat all day...no misfiring, idle was constant & no noises (apart from one of the belts squeals when the engine first starts). About 50 miles from home I started the car and sat waiting for a minute. The engine just cut out. There were no warnings or other symptoms. Tried to start it another couple times but nothing...just turns over and doesn't attempt to fire. There was a strong smell of fuel when we first opened the bonnet (but I had tried to start it a couple of times which may …

It soon will be time to get my zed mot'd. I saw on this forum an article that said do not have your car's brakes tested on the rolling road tester, due to possible damage to the diff. a) What do I ask the testing station about other equipment that they need to test without rolling road ? b) If they try to bullsh*t me and say they have a rolling road that is safe for lsd's whats my comeback ? Is there such a device ? Thanks John

Pulled the old thunder out of the garage to get the lawn mower out last weekend. Mowed lawn, put mower back and started the old thunder up to pull it into garage again. Puff of blue smoke from near side exhaust. Became very paranoid and got wife to check exhaust every time I start up when going into and back from work this week. Nothing. No blue smoke. Pulled out of the garage today and came back to start the old thunder up about 15 mins later for a trip into town. Blue smoke from near side exhaust. :nono: Blue smoke comes when the car has been started, turned off and restarted soon after. If the car is started, driven and then restarted, no smoke. Does t…

Hi all, I am thinking about getting a big cambelt service done on my car but before taking the plunge would like to know if it has been done. My service history is all in Japanese so is hard to tell from that. One thing I have noticed is a sticker stuck on my cambelt casing. See pic below. Anyone know if this has anything to do with the cambelt being done in the past? Cheers, Justin

Very impressed with this combo, car pulls very hard and smooth from low down, engine has a slightly different note and I'd swear my exhaust has got louder   After my first trip noticed I hit 16 psi, so I've had to turn down the duty on the AVC-R to 60% from 63% to hit 1 bar - wasn't expecting that one. I'm also getting more popping than before and definately running even richer than I was to start with - roll on the tuning session at Thor :hyper: Only problem I'm still working on is a groan from the rear end when pulling off, a slight whine when boosting at certain rpm's, and a clonk noise when coming off the gas in a high gear at low rpm.…

I would never do it, but I have heard that it is ok to mix fully synthetic oil with standard mineral oil, due to the fact that "fully synthetic" oil is a bit of a "con", that its really just mineral oil refined one stage further, or something like that. Is this true? Thanks John

Red G plate in IKEA car park Wedensbury. AAAAARGH!!! Why did I have to go to that HELL HOLE. Well, at least we got rid of the darling little bugger for a few hours. Only to be molested by other people's kids in that PLACE. Then a (grubby) red with twin ss exhaust on the Warwick road (A41) just before Chadwick End. I was trying to avoid mowing down a cyclist so didn't have time to flash, so if a grubby red SWB went past it you it was me!!
