Well, I just thought I'd leave a post for you guys in the hope that you might be able to give me some advice. I think the time has come when I might properly sell my Zed.
I had plenty of work planned for it, but its never come off, and I'm getting married in May, so its dropped even further done the list of priorities now. The trouble is this: I think it needs a respray (there are a few marks on the body, and in the sunlight you can see some swirls in the paintwork, probably because its been cut a few times (just my opinion though). Also, I think it needs new disks & pads (again, my opinion, not a mechanical fact). The only thing that does need doing to it (that I know of) is that it needs the rear subframe bush replacing.
Apart from that, its fine. Its done next to no miles since having its 60k service last year, and all it does is sit on the drive.
My question is this: should I try selling it as is, or should I get all of the work doen? If I get the work done first, then sell, will the value of the work reflect on the price I should ask? (I think I can get all of the work done for about two grand...should I knock two grand off what I would otherwise ask for it?).
For the purposes of answering the valuation question, its a 94L TT.
