Was just sent this to my website address :- I have recently changed the injector connectors on my 90na z also the temp sensor(ecu) and connector and the 2 connectors for the air (I think) sensors either side of engine (not the lambda) They were corroded, nissan told me the usual £600 wiring loom bullshit! However I located some connectors that fit, if you cut the locator off the sensor/injector or cut a grove in connector. They are from Durite (+44(0)1255 555200 http://www.durite.co.uk) part number : 0-012-71 (juniour jack 2 way connector) £3.02+vat each!!! Hope this could be of help to many z owners Simon Looks like it's wort…

Have had a balance bar chromed but as I was struggling to get my hands on a manual BB, I got an auto BB done with the intension of doing a bit of pipe re-routing until mine was done. However, I noticed a couple of things that put a dampener on the BB swap. Obviously there isn't an extra nipple on the end of the auto BB for the chucky pipe that comes from above the master cylinder. As shown in this pic. So as it is purely a vacuum, my intension was to put a T connector in one of the other pipes and connect it that way. However, this pipe seems like it can take some serious pressure but the pressure clips ain't that good so I was wondering if Nissan had just…

Just spent a few hours on the Z, changing the fuel pipes, a bit of a polish, topping up fluids, replacing a bit of rubbber for silicon and while I was out there I decided to bypass the AIV. Or atleast I think that is what I have done. Please correct me otherwise. John Dixon showed me how to do it on Saturday. Very easy proceedure. All you do is connect the NS FPR to the sticky out thing just on the right side of the plenum. Haven't been out in it yet but started her up and unless its my imagination, she seemed to idle a bit smoother than normal. Maybe it's all in my head but I will update tomorrow after having driven to work.

I need some grill to protect my radiator, i need enough to fit to the front and IC side and front pods, all the DIY stores around here sell shitty chicken wire, I need something more robust that looks good, and does't impede airflow too much, o and i don't want to spend the £100 i was quoted for some stuff a few months back.

It seems that the simple solution would be to just route a piece of SS directly from the MC to SC, anyone disagree?

Now that you lot have reassured me the goose honk issue is nothing serious, I can confirm it's due to an after market induction kit, a sodding great mushroom of a thing with HKS written on it. Lads at work  when I told them about goose honk! It looks a bit dirty so I was thinking about changing the element. I serched the forums to see if it was a wet or dry filter and to be honest I still don't know. I did read that it was "apparently a good filter" and someone commented on "all of the bad reviews of the HKS" compared with an Apex-i one. I know the issue about the AFM and oiled filters. So, is it a dry filter? If so can I clean it an…

I am fitting some Phillips HID headlights. Have also taken out the headlight units with a view to either cleaning inside or going the 'bacofoil' route. I already have some chrome material so that is probably the way I'm going however, do I just re-chrome the existing shiny bits or some of the other stuff too. I intend to make a start tomorrow so any advice would be welcome.

As most of the Z's for sale are autos how easy would it be to change the gearbox to a manual. I knw the turbos are different sizes but is there any other differences. Really couldn't live with an auto.

Hi Guys, Today i've tried to remove my original eprom chip to fit a socket, all the solder appears to be out but the chip is still very tight, i'm just wondering if there is any glue or whatever under it, i don't want to risk doing any damage so i thought it best to ask before getting a crowbar under it :D Baz

In a previous thread I was told the easiest was to get rid of the smoke at idle after decat was...put the cats back! 1, Has anyone done this and had it cure the smoke? 2, Is there no alternative? As the only silencers are right at the back, has anyone fitted any in place of the cats and if so does it/will it give enough back pressure to cure the smoke? Is there anything else you can do to the exhaust to cure it? A friend talked about "cones" that motor bikes have that gives back pressure, but my thoughts are it would prob be more restrictive than the cats. See my cr@p pic for his idea.. http://rides.300zx.co.uk/rides/2445/restrictor.jpg

:slap: What I'm planning on doing as well as fitting an eliminator bar is junking all the Hicas parts and fitting a new cooler. At the moment it looks like from the Hicas solenoid comes a pipe to a small pissy cooler on the front crossmember (in front the engine oil cooler) then a return back to tank. The way I see it is there are 2 options: 1. Use the hicas part of the pump to supply a new cooler then use the existing return to tank pipe as the return. This way there is no need to get an NA pump and other bits required.. OR :slap: 2. Gut the rear of the pump and blank it off, then use the line from the power steering rack throug…

ok, im pretty sure my prop shaft centre bearing needs replaced. There is a vibration from under the car which seems to be at its worst just below 3000rpm. It dissapears when i put the clutch down, so i assume its the prop shaft. So, how do i go about replacing the centre bearing? Where can i get one? Is it sensible to buy a second hand one? Would appreciate as much help as poss as i really dont know much about it. Cheers
