Red Zed just whizzed past my office window down the A4 towards Slough. Not gonna get any work done with this window seat overlooking the A4- especially when the sun comes out to bring out all the Slough Slappers

Since the rain last week my car is missing on one or 2 cylinders and stumbles and stalls. I think the PTU got soaked from my bonnet vent. I've relocated it now and cleaned the connectors but it's still the same. Shame as it's a series 2 type that's only done a couple of thousand miles :( Can anybody lend me one to test? It's my week off and the Z is running like poo. Chris.

I cant be bothered to undo all the bolts on the pan to drop it and refiill it so I was thinking of buying a washer motor from Halfords and some tubing and suctioning out from the dip stick hole - I plan to do about 3 lots of drain refill cycles - Anyone tried this and can say how much you can get out in one go? Cheers.

Morning All, Took the radio out on saturday to wire up the cables for the 6x9's and subs. All wiring in and ready for the install. While testing the interior light fuse blew. Replaced this and the one for the cig lighter (that must have blown before i got the car) and everything looked groovy. Fired up the Zed, no side lights, no dipped beam, no front fogs, no back lights, no dash illumination! All i have are the rear fog lights (on a separate switch), and my front lights are either off or on full beam. Indicators/hazards are ok. We've checked all fuses, they're ok. We checked where the bulkhead had been drilled to fit a wire (which we never used) but…

hi i am getting hot wheels after a half an hour or so's driving. they are 17inch alloys and recently had new pads put on. Now i also get a judder when slowing down from any speed, especially once the heat starts. The wheels are hot as in ouchie if you touch. I am supposed to be getting the discs changed tommorow but i thought i would just check first. is it a warped disc that is causing the heat ? or are the breaks sticking and causing it. any advise would be appreciated matt :mac1:

Allrighty chaps, installed some UK PIAA's the other day, the ones everyone was ravin about.. H3 platinum white jobbies, did the earth mod thing connecting the wires to the screw on the casing as instructed (used 8AMP wire for the earth if that makes a difference?) and its still not that much cop...they are supposed to be like an 85w using 55W bulbs or something? Is Jeffs upgrade the only thing that makes it acceptable on these? does he (or 'you' if ure readin this Jeff!) still do these? Ive seen the posts, just not sure what to do, the thought of getting off that bumper and taking it all apart makes me feel ill, and thats after doing the leather seats using zce…

 HELP! - My Zed's running a very max boost pressure of 6.4 psi with stock setup. Checked for leaks - none found. Changed a bent wastegate diapragm housing which I knocked when fitting the engine but this made virtually no difference to the max boost. Reset ECU but still same. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Just went round all the coil packs, injector connector connectors and PTU and found the usual green corrosion. Wacked a load of halfords contact cleaner over them, and it just wont shift it. Have scraped some of it off with a small screwdriver. Anyone reccommend a good contact cleaner that will actually dissolve this green crap? Also when I put all the connectors back, it runs worse. Have been round twice and re-seated and checked everything and still the same. ECU check code 55 all OK, so may re-set it and see if that helps.
