I bought my car in February this year. It's a N/A auto 1999 car. I haven't driven it that fast as it started to shake at high speed. I changed all four tyres today (the fronts were 'Nankangs' or something and I think they were the problem) and now it doesn't shake. But it seems to hit what feels like an electronic limiter just below 130mph. Does anyone know if that's the case or what it might be? Any ideas how to liberate the full power / speed? Thanks gents!

It seems to come from the right door area. I've oiled the bonnet hinges and that seems to make no difference. Thanks, Mooch

My techy bloke is up to his armpits in bits of my engine which he has taken off to change the knock sensor when he says "where are the lower inlet manifold gaskets?". I ring round and pick myself off the floor when I find these are £62.10 + VAT each. For a gasket? So I ring another guru and all-round parts supplier and he says "I'm just doing the same thing on mine and my techy bloke has just given up. You can't take the inlet manifold off with the engine in the car as there are little bits of pipework at the back which make it impossible." So back to Guru 1 who says "yes you can - but it is fiddly and there is a knack to it." So, if there is anyon…

Hi Guys I could really do with some help, I have a 1991 uk Z, its a manual, TT, and I need to sell it because I have now just got another. The car is very good condition, the interior is as near to new as you could get on a car half this age, the gear knob is the alloy Z one from Luke and the radio facia is coded, bar a few creases in the leather it new, it has had £9000 spent on it in the last 18 months or so and eight of those months have been spent in garage having the work done. It has new (fully recon) engine and turbos fitted and just over 2000 miles covered on the new engine. It has had the following fitted recently- ACT clutch (60% upgrade), springs 30mm l…

My J spec tt's passenger seat belt has jammed fully extended and won't retract. I have tried poking it around with a knife etc but no joy. I was wondering if it is normally an easy fix or is a replacement the normal option. I'm told once they give trouble it will probably reoccure. My wife won't travel in the car with the belt like it is! Any ideas will be welcome.

I've just chaged my aircon compressor (Ta Kirbs) as the last one sounded like the tracks on a tank when turned on. I've now heard that you can't just fill it up with new R type gas but you have to put some special seals on? My car is a 91 import, so I assume it has had the old gas in.. Any one know any one in the NW who can refill it for me? Chris Davies

My mech is runnin' out of idea's can anyone help? He's trying to find why my j90'tt is missing at one of the cillinders(2 i think) he's checked all connections at the coil packs and tried swapping them over, he's continuity checked the wiring back to the ptu and checked the ptu connections. He tells me he's not gettin' any signal to spark at the coil pack and he does'nt think the spark plug looks wet when he pulls it out. He's checked all the various connections everywhere inc back the ptu, do you think the ptu may have broken down on that one signal?, does that happen? Someones advised him it could be the ecu, i think he may have that in pieces now, is he loo…

Spotted today at around 1330hrs a zed of the above description travelling on the M40 (S) towards J15 (Warwick). I was driving in the oposite direction and gave you a flash and wave ... don't think you noticed given the speed we were travelling. Could this be you Rich? ;) Danny

Hullo chaps, been busy spending my hard earned today, just need a bit of advice on the next few bits to buy... I'm accumulating a massive stack of bits to slap on the car at the moment for when I get it back, so far I've got (or ordered) Braided brake hoses Mongoose Cat Back exhaust Greddy ECU Greddy Profec Boost Controller I'm planning on using 12psi for everyday and 15+psi for when I really want to go fast! I'm now toying with the idea of the greddy ICs, to try to keep things cool(er) any views on whether this will be enough or should I get a waterspray for the ICs too? On another point, any idea if anybody has …
