Just fitted the engine back in the car and the passenger side is smoking badly out the exhaust. The thing is, not all the time. It is an 89 J.I. TT auto. It does it on start up from cold then, when the engine reaches temp and you start it back up, its ok !! Turn it off, start it up and sometimes it smokes and sometimes it doesnt, Car is still up on axle stands by the way and has not been road tested yet. Also, and heres the best bit Spotted a petrol leak dripping from the passenger side turbo !! Checked all around the fuel lines, IAC valve, injectors and injector rails and nowt :mad: Last but not least, sometimes she drops a cylinder or 2 and when you swi…

HI all, I have been viewing around a few 300zx TT UK spec 90- 92’s targa’s and I can’t really help but to keep thinking of the problem that has killed off a few of my previous car of around the same age, “Floor/ Sills / bodywork etc, Corroded and holed to excess” sound familiar to anyone?? My question for the owners of 300zx’s around this age bracket is that have your car’s need to go under the torch for a bit of touch up?? Thanks

Getting a set of porterfield pads from smithy and looking for somewhere local to fit them. Anyone know of a decent garage in Berkshire that will fit them? My local place wont fit them because they are not supplying them! Cheers

right guys my car goes of to the bodyshop in a months time and having my bodykit finnished off and all the extras fitted i bought over the months what iam looking for is somone with photoshop for paint help what i was going to do is the car is black and the leather is going to be black and blue so i was going to put a blue metal flakes in the paint the flakes are from house of colur and change in the sun and shine lots of difrent blues can some of you who have photoshop come up with some ofther paint job for ideas as iam looking for a mad show car look its got a veilside kit and on chrome 18" wheels i like the look of 2 tone paint jobs aswell cheers gu…

Hi folks I was on my way to stay with friends for the weekend in Sale, near Manchester, and after three quarters of the way the car went very strange. It would struggle to maintain power and increase speed. The car whilst in motion would started to chudder when I put my foot down the gas pedal. It doesn't make any difference whether I'm in overdrive mode or not. After a while I would have to stop the car. When stopped, the car iddles erratically and eventually cuts out. Dave C gave me a few possible causes and ways solve it but unfortunately it hasn't done the trick. All I can be sure of at the moment is that the car starts having problems when the rev…

WOuld you believe it? My previously reliable mechanic has just effed off to France for week. With no notice. When I went to see him yesterday at 3pm, he said "It'll be ready Tuesday or Wed." Except sometime between then and this morning, he's p*ssed off. Leaving my engine in the middle of replacing the knock sensor. All the top bits of the engine have been removed. Is there anyone out there who can (or knows a man who can) reassemble it - and here's the key bit - by the end of next week Fri 27th Aug? For money, of course... Bit of a tall order I know - but you can't blame me for trying!

I have a Blitz induction kit for a 97 scooby STI....think it will fit a UK TT Z??

Now getting a missfire that gets better as the engine heates up, but comes back when you boot it. any ideas on where to start looking for problems? gonna do a ECU check in a min.

Hello, I've been wanting a 300 for quite sometime now but there are so many different types I havent a clue which are decent and which ones to stay clear of! Auto or manual? Whats the difference between a Fairlady and the TT? I've also seen a short wheel base one. I definitly want the turbo model but am unsure of the other options. I'm looking at spending no more than £5500 and will be buying one in March next year. Thank you

Just a bit of advice CHROME wheels are for summer and show use ONLY the big reason is expansion! the chrome expands at a different rate the the wheel its coated on heat from the brakes and cold rain on the wheels dont mix well the chrome cracks and pops off :x: you have been warned hopefully before anyone spend a fortune on them to use all year

is there any major problems fitting A FULL leather interior from a uk to a jap? 2+2 ie door cards the lot, uk passenger seats are electric arnt they? will it just slot in without wiring and work manually, or does the frame have to be changed? thanks

Looking to buy a Z31, generally looks ok, seems to be in reasonable working order etc.. here's the info: 1987 non-turbo 120k on the clock somtimes pops out of reverse? Don't know too much about Z31's but i take it it's a different 3.0N/A engine to that that's in the Z32's ? if so, what's the spec on the engine, i.e. bhp, torque, etc... oh and what are the non-turbo Z31's like as in 0-60, top speed etc... and handling? any good?! any info will do.. will it be ok with 120k on it?

still loosing my boost on my car which is driving me nuts. just had a full service and im no longer getting problems will the car feeling lethargic at low speeds. but foot to the floor after 20 mins and it feels like the turbos's have switched off. ive got no ecu error codes, and my timing is spot on. got a conzult and nothing abnormal showed up so im guessing a vacuum leak. can anybody check this for me.

I've been bitten by the modding bug and was hoping over the coming months to do some performance mods to my Z, starting with upping the boost level. Would someone be willing to run a conzult on my car so I can see if there're any things that need to be sorted before I begin? (perhaps that should be to see what needs to be sorted!) I'm happy to drive to wherever to have it done, although obviously I would prefer to go somewhere closer to the North East rather than the other end of the country, but if needs must...

Quick brake query. Are the front brakes the same on an NA and TT? If not, would it be worthwhile fitting TT disks and calipers to an NA? Cheers Scott
