In May when I'm 21 I can finally afford the insurance to own a Z (twin turbo). As the manual transmission versions appear to be a lot more expensive to buy, it seems I will buy an automatic. So the question looms, how do you make the car 'dump'? Being a manual, in my current car I just come off the gas quite suddenly after building boost 5psi or more and engage the clutch ready to change gear and the dump valve goes off. So how do you guys do it in your automatic twin turbo 300? ====================

I have a 1994 TT Auto with Apexi filter otherwise its stock. When the car is parked at home it is in quite an exposed position for the wind etc. On a number of occasions when there has been heavy rain overnight, when i drive the care it has a missfire. It clears after about 10 miles. And I have never had the problem unless it has rained overnight. My question is has anyone else had this problem? I cannot figure out where it could possibly be getting wet to give this problem and why it always clears after 10-15 minites... Thanks for any advice...

How do you tell if it's your battery or alternater that is faulty? Not sure if this is important but the car had been sitting for a while and got a slight leak so very damp inside (think leak fixed now) Anyway what happened was drove it after it sitting for a long time and the temp gauge wasn't working and the lights were very dull, got about 15 mile and put my foot down the car completely held back windows moving up n down very slowly so when i got it home took the battery out put in on charge don't think it was a full charge. Gave it another go drove much better all lights were working as bright as usual playing up slightly but assumed it was down to r…

I have a problem with my twin turbo z32...again... when you start the car it fires up instantly, bit rough but then its on choke..now when you come to drive it it will pull away but put your foot down even a little bit and it backfires badly and then you are lucky to get it over 30mph. it is running very rich i believe cos you can smell the unburnt fuel from the exhaust this is what has been done to fix this problem.. new platinum plugs new coils (all six) new greddy boost controller (fitted by abbey motorsport) this car has been to zedworld but when it got there it was ok again and i drove it home (300 miles) and was fine for a few months its been t…

Noticed that on the drivers side pull down sun visor in my late 93 jap zed there is something about airbags printed on it. As it came with a horrible aftermarket personal wheel I was wondering what the original looked like. I have seen a chunky version of the zed steering wheel is this it and does anyone have one?

All is ok except a few things. The clutch is gone, which I knew about and he knocked £500 off to get that done, so thats ok. Was a bitch to drive home cause it just slipped if you werent too careful on the throttle. Whats really annoying is that the fooking drivers side lock barrel just spins and doesnt unlock the door. The alarm isnt wired up to the central locking so the only way in is to unlock the passenger side and lean over to undo it. Any idea if I can take the door card off and sort it or get someone to do it for me, prices?!?!?!? Also the oil pressure, once it was on 4 but then other times it dropped and sat on the lower line (no number) Engine did…

As the title says I have almost bought one , I tried a few and found a bargain at the end but I have a few questions for ya if you dont mind. 1, when a car is imported into the Uk and has a sva test does the jap speedo which is reading 180kmh get changed so that it will display mph on it for that or is it not a mandatory thing. 2, where is the sport / touring switch for the suspension the one i tested today had a red switch next to the auto box arm with 0 and 1 markings , is that it? 3, the one today had a boost gauge showing -7 to +7 and i cant remember what the other ones i saw were, is this right 4 , how the hell do you get the grin off your face, I cant believ…

does a non hicas n/a need 4 wheel alignment? or just the 2 front wheels? went to kwik fit garage this morning to get a front wheel alignment and he said ' nope cant do that here as you have a 300zx and they all have hicas..you need a computerised 4 wheel alignment which will cost up to 100 big ones' i said oh ok then knowing my car has no hicas ( 90 NA)and didnt want him messing with it ..i went home and called a few tyre places and they said the cost is expensive coz they have to adjust camber and caster...i have read on here that these are non adjustable..are the ****s taking me for a ride or what? all I want is a basic wheel alignment so that my steerin…

I have taken battery out to see if I can find a suitable hole to feed the power wire for the Amp through and nothing really jumps out at me as being suitable, I have done a forum search and there is supposed to be a hole through the bulk head near the bottom?? I can see some sort of pipe with a big grommet going in, but I do'nt really want to disturb that. I am also worried if I drill a new hole through I will drill through a electrical wire going to the ECU, any pictures of what other people have done will be great. CheerZ.

OK guys, I have just replaced no1 from Zed Centre, see link :- http://www.zcentre.co.uk/suspension/frontbushes.htm The driver side one was leaking it's silicone. I actually fitted the whole arms with the bushes already fitted but I'm still getting tramlining, steering following lines in the road and the steering wheel sometimes slightly left and sometimes slightly right to go dead straight  So, what would be recommended to be checked/replaced next CheerZ Paul

As Im having a lot of work done on the exterior of the car, I need to update the interior. As it stands at the moment, its standard grey uk tweed trim and seats. I have seen the kits on ebay, designed for RHD cars made in Italian leather. Are these worth while? Are these easier to fit because they are shaped, or is it just the same as getting the material from the market. Also, has anyone done this with another material ie Alcantara? Thanks Barry

Having some difficulty removing the rear brake drums from a V reg micra.. the manual also says there's two holes on the drum that i can screw 2 M8 bolts into but the only two holes i can find aren't threaded and on of them is for the wee lever for the stop plate thingy.. any ideas? it's pretty damn stuck.

....the simplist of things. But what am I doing wrong? First time I've taken any of the interior appart. Have taken the small trim tabs off and unscrewed all 4 screws. The top comes out, but the bottom doesn't seem to want to pop off. I don't want to be too brutal with it... ?!IU^%R&^%" :x:

I'M LOOKING FOR ADVICE. I've a series 2 lwb jap auto tt. i was driving at aprox 50 mph when i lost power. the car went to the nearest Nissan dealer for a diagnostic check and i was informed that the cambelt was broken. I was then told that they don't do work on imports. There are not many Z32 experts in Ireland. I've been told that the valves will be bent by one person and that everything should be ok by another person, and a third person said it's luck of the draw. Should i let my mechanic mate do the cambelt even though he's never done one before or should i trailer it over to Zedworld at great expense to myself fo ferries etc. Love the club by the way. there always se…
