After much scraping and de-icing at half six this morning I slowly edged my car out of my drive and onto the road Usual Fan belt squealing to wake the neighbours !! Eventually got my windows to work up/down and wiped the mirrors off a bit Full demist and heat on windscreen eventually cleared my view so I could see where I was going - and wipers finally kicked in to clear the last of the ice But what really freaked me out was the cracking noises all around my head as I picked up speed and joined the motorway - Turns out it was the Ice on the Targa roof slowly cracking and then letting go as I sped along - very spooky - had to turn the music up…

Hi all, Following on from a previous thread about the fitment of a Stillen rear strut brace I thought I'd put up a separate thread to explain the actual fitting issue. Stillen advertises their rear strut brace as being able to fit to cars fitted with aftermarket suspension only. This is due to the fact that all US cars (and I believe most UK cars as well) have adjustable rear suspension with an actuator fitted to the top of the strut. This is where the problem lies ... aparently (and I can't verify this myself) the rear strut brace fouls on the actuator. As far as I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong) US, Euro and UK spec 300ZX's have adjustable susp…

Hey guys, Dunno if any of you have had this but on my NA 300 Manual J spec, when i'm turning the wheel when stationary or at very low speeds i'm gettin a nasty sort of deep hum which send s vibratios thru the steerin column to my hands. Also at higher speed say 30mph goin round a roundabout, its almost as if the sterring is trying to go too far in the direction i'm pushing it, like its trying to take the steering out of my control and pushing it further. Its also twitching when going in a straight line at 70mph. Everyone makes minor corrections due to camber changes in the road but when i do this the steering yet again trys to go too far, taking the comtro…

Guys My little van is having a problem. When driving the 'oil pressure' light is illuminated. There is no noticable difference in performance but I am just waiting for something to blow up or drop off. Help guys. What could be the cause and/or consequencies of driving it in this state. And of course any possible solutions. She's done a few KM!!!

Hi all I seem to have a prob everytime I start my 300 TT auto. She cuts out everytime I try to engage either reverse or drive. If I leave her to warm up in Neutral for 10 mins or so she seems fine except when I wheel lock to either the right or left. The revs seem a bit eratic at the above times. The other thing is that I sometimes have to have the ignition key turned for what seems minutes before she fires up. (Sparkplugs???) The chap that attempted to tune her when I first bought her said she is not firing on all cylinders, could that have something to do with it ??? One last thing..... can somebody please explain what ECU tests and PTU means. M…
