Had a few problems yesterday I changed the front wheels and took the Z out round the block to check and see if the wheels had enough clearance and that the calipers fitted inside the wheels etc. So get back to the driveway and the car cut out. It wouldnt restart but it did turn over. After checking my ECU and taking out the boost jets (only did this because it was the only thing that I changed over the weekend) and it still done the same. So reinstalled the new ECU and left the hoses standard. Next on the list was spark plugs, replaced every one of them and it started first time perfectly. Was running for 5 mins at idle let the oil pressure etc drop then I tried to m…

I am fitting a stereo and am lucky as the iso connector is still there but as i can understand it I have to run the stereo earth to a seperate earth to get it to work? along with the ISO connector there is a small square connector about an inch wide and long with 4 pins in it , any Ides on what it is ( I was thinking it might be the aerial control connector but it seems a bit over the top for it or maybe its right as I seem to have a aerial switch in front of the auto shifter which I havnt got a clue about either) My aerial lead has 2 pins does the aerial work ok using …

fitted my greddy gauges today  also made very easy with the greddy sandwich plate, anyway i come up with a simple idea to protect the sender wires running down between the engine and bulkhead. After bringing the wires through the bulkhead i run them inside 1" heater hose from the brake servo down to the starter held in place by cable ties, this will keep them away from the hot turbo heat and keep them out of harms way. by the way can anyone tell me what the kg/cm2 reading is in old money ie-1kg/cm2=psi

I think my car knows I want to sell it.....before New Year the Clutch master cylinder went, now the ****ing heater matrix has gone. :headvswal Symptoms are a damp (not yet soaking) footwell and some slight steam being blown through the vents. Wondered why my windows have been a bit steamy the last few journeys. Is the car safe to drive if the matrix is leaking slightly???. Coolant levels look Ok and tempaerture is fine. Obviously have to drive it somewhere for it to be done, but don't want to risk any damage, especially as the car is for sale! Alternatively, someone can take it off my hands for a £500 discount....see my for sale thread here

Car is going to be either written off or repaired, depending on the insurance. Small print on my policy says I have the rights to retain the salvage. Got a letter from them this morning, saying they would be willing to go along with my choice of repairer, if its repairable, which is my place of work. :D http://www.trucktecltd.co.uk So weighing up all sorts of scenarios here ! One being the wide ass kit. Questions that would be of help to know are; 1. Obviously I would need wider wheels and tyres, what would you recommend ? Prices also ? 2. Does the kit consist of 2 rear arches and a rear bumper ? Would assume that the original bumper doesnt work. …
