got this from Chris last week and put it on the other night. I now know why other cars i've seen it with have it on the metal below the rear lights and not the pvc. I love it in this position but don't think the adhesion will last. dot of superglue maybe but scared it will run down onto the plastic and burn it. stay or go??

Just wondering what my engine would be worth, its a UK TT (was auto), has 70k on the clock and has always been a great strong engine. Its always been a little bit tappety, but nothing to bad. It has stock turbo's on, which sometimes smokes when left idling. Its had regular oil changes and has lightened pulley set and recent timing belt. Also, whats UK manual box worth, with all parts for the conversion, this has a new RPS street clutch, new pivot ball and lightened flywheel. Not for sale yet, just looking at what options are open for me. Thanks Barry

I bought mycar 2 yearsago. It is a red 1990 Gplate Nissan 300 ZX UK spec. When Ibought the car I knew the turbos were not good. So I sent away for reconditioned turbos and had them replaced with a reputable mechanic. Thiscost me nearly£2000 as youcan appreciate I could afford much more. Thecar seems to backfire sometimes and does not run correctly, ie no power hardly. I have heard it may be the timing belt has slipped a digit -could this be the case and I have also adjusted the hycas to no avail. Could anyone please advise on my course of action.

On a 92 Jap import N/A what was the maximum it would rev to before the rev limmiter was removed ie: a chip?? Reason I asked is when I had a chance to boot it last it was all stock ie: speed limmiter, revs restricted etc, and I did'nt look at the revs when it cut out.

I have been playing around with the TPS and changing the voltage from one end of the scale to the other (.45 to .50 v) and it dont seem to make any diffrence to the way the gearbox changes gear, is it suppose to ? Maybe i am not giving it enough time between changes to settle down, but i am resetting the ecu each time? Whats your thoughts on this one guys/gals and have you had any success with this, or do you know another way to get the gearbox to change gear earlier or later in the rev range (or is it set by MPH). Thanks

yesterday, heading south down A12. I was 2 vehicles behind you in a burgundy transit (trying to keep up). Good to see a low wide car in amongst all the tall cars that seem to populate our roads. The yellow Z looked like it was from another planet...

The engine feels a bit restricted around 2,500 - 3500 rpm in 2nd gear. And similar in third but less so. Conzult is not reporting any error codes but the orange 'check' light comes on every time i i turn the key to 2nd position before ignition. And this light popped on since i drove the car at -4c during the xmas break. But the tightness goes a bit once the engine has been running for 10 mins and is warmed up. Any ideas plz?

Hi everyone, Car's done this about three times now so I think it's fair to say there's some sort of issue developing. When started after being used earlier in the day when not completely cold the idle feels "lumpy". Happens at around 1000 - 1200 rpm. The engine tickover is regular and doesn't stutter, but you can feel a vibration through the whole car in time with it. Only lasts a couple of minutes and then idle becomes perfectly smooth as normal with no vibration. Doesn't happen either when the engine is completely cold after being left over night, or when it's started when already warm. Running climate control or not makes no difference. Car is a LWB series…

Going to install three gauges in the conter console under my stereo. I've found these ones as they have two in one HERE Thought it would be good cause I could have: Water pressure/temp Oil pressure/temp Boost. They are mechanical so will need to run pipes, they come in 7foot, 9foot for 12foot. Anyone know what length i'd need? Also, if its a mechanical temp how do they work?? cause if its just one pipe to the gauge I cant work out how the temp would read properly.

Has anyone used one of these? It's a Sealey magnetic camber/castor gauge - almost the same as it says in the title to this thread!! Are they any good? Not as accurate as laser alignment, but good enough to get the castor near as damnit?? Cheers!

Ok it looks like the garage i picked my car up from have managed to get tyre shine on the tread of the tyres as I tried wiping the tread and the same muck came off as from the sidewall( kinda explains why the back end was so slippy ) Any ideas on how to clean the tread to get it off, was wondering using something like fairy powerspray or just go do a mad burnout.
