I bought my N/A auto knowing that the front brakes were warped. It's not a major problem but something I want to sort out at some point. Can anyone recommend higher spec disks (that don't cost a fortune) or should I just stick to standard spec ones? I will be doing more cruising than racing in my zed so overall stopping power isn't my main concern, i just want good stoppers that look nice behind my 18's and will last. Cheers Russ

I was wondering of there was a way of relocating the front fogs and indicators so i can make the front end of my Zed look a bit more like the pic below?? i think it look sweet!!! Are there any front light mods that bring the indicators next to the main driving lights (like in many of todays cars)? i have crudely put a couple of front fogs in the picture at the bottom but would it be road legal to have them as indicators as they are quite low down. What do you all think? Z Man

I've got a creaking/squeaking sound from the front drivers corner of the car. I reckon it's the suspension bushes. Is this a big job to do?

Got a few problems after fiiting the HID kit I bought ages ago. Firstly, when I turn the lights on to the first position, the passanger side dipped beam comes on but not the drivers side. When on the second position, sometimes they are both on and sometimes the passanger side will turn off and the drivers side will stay on. There's a 12v supply there and I don't think it's the HID's as I've swapped them over - any ideas??? Secondly I'm having problems setting up the beam spread. I'm getting part of the beam shining upwards as I can see it when I drive under trees etc :( Does the actual HID blulb have to be fitted and a certain angle or is that nothing to do with it?…

Im getting a FMIC as i have blown my stock ones.... i have a HKS winging its way to me, but after doing some research i found that some FMIC (not the HKS one) mess the turbo feeds up, as in stock they work: Left turbo right bank Right turbo left bank apparently to do with balancing etc...... so my question is...... what other intercoolers keep the standard flow? or is it just HKS? or have a fooked up and miss read something? Cheers again :duffer:

  9. Basically im trying to eliminate a rough idle problem my Z has quite a lot when at running temp, I have had to live with this for 6 months now and it is really getting irritating & deffinately embarrasing and id like to solve the problem so im working my way through everything possible that isnt quiet right with my Z, so far i have removed intake pipes and cleaned throttle bodies (throttle jams on occasion, still after cleaning), set the tps to correct setting, set idle as per insructions found here, AIV's have been removed as per TT guide checked air filters (all ok), due for all oil's to be done (next week hopefully), found 1 small fuel leak (cured ages ago). help n…

Just finished putting the engine in the zed (er.. again), got everything hooked up and code55, but when I try to start it in park all I hear are a couple of clicks (mainly from the fuses in front of the brake booster), and the car does not turn over, i.e. starter does not engage. Yet oddly when I put the car in neutral and try the same thing the starter enages and the circuit breaker trips instantly. From what I can tell the starter may be sticking but when I first rebuilt the car the starter sticking was nowhere near bad enough to trip the breaker. I also think that the problem might not be the starter because another couple of times when I switched the lights o…

Hi people, Am I right in thinking that you cant de-cat cars if theyre newer than 1991. In that I mean they wont pass the emissions test? Mines a '92 and I would like to do it but not if it wont pass the MOT. On a totally different subject, I also have a series 2 PTU for sale which I bought from Vijay, but i no longer require. Im after about £75 if anyone on here is after one. Cheers guys, Paul.

Since having my rear lights blacked out, I don't have any reflectors on the rear of the car. I know that I have to stick some on for the MOT. Can I get away with sticking them to the bumper, rather than the light panel? It took me folking ages last year to get the panel clean again after taking the sticky reflectors off and would like to avoid it this year, if at all possible!

Right, I just set up a Air Fuel Gauge, it is fine on idle with the reading slowly going from lean to rich as the engine warms up. However, when driving the reading is VERY eratic, jumping from lean to rich and back again constantly. Does anyone know why this is as it's getting anoying. Thanks.

Two questions really. At what boost do stock injectors become no good? And Can the stock injectors be recalibrated to flow more than stock?
