At the moment I have 1.2mm fitted and I'm wanting to "test" 1.0mm. Would it be ok to leave the 1.2mm in and fit 1.0mm in an extended pipe or should I remove the 1.2mm and just fit the 1.0mm ? CheerZ Paul

i'm looking for either: a wiring diagram for the audio wiring for a car fitted with the bose speaker/amp units in the doors (the diag i have is for single rear amp no door amps) someone who has replaced their origonal head unit but kept the bose speaker/amp units in the doors and got it working someone (or a site) who knows about how the amp/speaker units were designed/ built i have spent hours searching but can't find what i need I have replaced the head unit and now get no sound from the speakers, i have connected the power feed to the amps to the switched 12v out of the head unit. my understanding is that this powers a relay which sends …

Hi aguys I'm looking for a new car on really like the idea of a 300zx. I think an N/A will be more than quick enough for now and i'd struggle to pay the insurance on a TT anyway. My main concern is finding a manual one, what is the auto like to drive? Are there any problems with the box kicking down mid corner etc (i've never driven an auto and i'm a bit worried about not being in full control when the engines making 200BHP+!). You guys clearly love your 300's but how do they compare with the 200sx? Insurance and performance (of the N/A 300) seem similar on paper but am i missing something. So after finally getting round to changing my supposed dead bulbs in my spoiler brake light turns out that its not connected to anything! Im assuming that as the spoiler was swopped not long before i got the car they just didnt bother to reconnect the brake light. Im presuming that some where under the boot trim will eb the feed lines for the brake light in the spoiler and that im not going to have to wire it all the way down to the rear lights. Does anyone have pictures under the boot trim that might help or a good description of what i should find under the boot trim to let me hook the rear spoiler light up.. cheers andy

Ive set my profec B for PSi and trying to get a decent base level of boost (say cirrca 10psi) in Lo, and then 14/15psi in hi. Ive searched and found several lists of setting but not sure if they actually for the psi or kpa settings on the controller. Also the instructions hint that the unit gives real time boost so although my after market boost guage is fairly crude (last owner got one that reads in bar not very acuratly..) can i just get a passenger to read the boost levels out as i drive and then use the peak recall to avoid dangerous boost.? Was in dublin city today and a completely standard zed drove past me. Anyone on here in dublin with a burgandy/maroon 1991 zed. It drove down eden quay and went over the next bridge turned left and went the complete opposite direction to me. It was around 3 o'clock. I wouldnt of spotted it, if my mate katie hadnt of said(in her words) "is that one of those nice fast car things you like". There starting to get very common over here. This seemed a very nice lwb version with the exterior completely standard including the alloys (And yes when im in town i have nothing better to do then stand and watch where the car goes!!!!)

Hi guys! I hope some one can help me with this. I was driving to work at a very leisurely pace and started getting an irregular missfire. It would clear then comeback every few mins. After a while it was constantly running on 5 cylinders, I removed the coilpack on the dodgy cylinder and replaced it with one of the others and it still missfired. the porcelin round the sparkplugs electrode was broken but the electrodes were perfect, so i replaced it. now when i drive it the missfire is there until i hit 3000 revs then it clears and it runs smoothly. PLEASE HELP ME. ITS DRIVING ME NUTS! :headvswal :(

Hi All A question about the LCD TV/CD autochanger which came with my Jap import TT 1992. The unit functions as a control for the CD autochanger in the boot (most of the time) but the TV option gives a blank 'whiteout' picture. There is a 'curly' aerial on the top of the rear screen. Do you think it simply needs tuning in? There is also a remote control but I've no idea how to operate it as the instructions are in Japanese. Are these TVs capable of working in the UK or is there a frequency issue? When I originally bought the car the owner managed to get a very fuzzy picture of some sort but after a few tries when I tried it later the screen whited out 30s or …

My poor zed has been off the road since i bought it due to turbo problems....as in they're completely cream crackered!! Just managed to get a 2nd hand pair cheaply wondered if there are any checks i can do before fitting them to make sure they are ok. They had about 60000kms on them by the way. Also before my mechanic friend fits them are there any other parts i should change at the same time ie. turbo seals etc? Cheers!

Driving my Z hard up a duel carrageway against an R33GTS when i heard a thump from somewhere when i went from 4th to 5th. I lost all drive and had to pull over. Engine seems ok but clutch pedal stuck to the floor. I pulled pedal back up and when in gear with clutch up i 've got no drive, just bad vibration in all gears. Ok, So far engine oil 10w-50 fully synthetic. Gearbox, I read that relind mt90 is pointless unless you got synchro problems, which I dont so I dont need that. What oil shall I use?? I know 75w-90. Also is it right that its 3.1 litres? Diff oil - no idea except I read needs to be LSD 75w-90?? Also is that 2.9 litres? Also need to know what sparks to have. Its not modded so dont need cooler plugs. I read Iridium burn out?? Go for standard Platinum from a Nissan garage? Thanks Mark

Is this worth doing? I've had the one done on my radiator and being advised to do one where my spark plugs go to check engine compression. They want to do this before i get the turbos replaced to make sure the smoke isn't engine problems. Is this correct??? i have no idea what it all means and if it is a good idea how much should i pay? and what compression should our cars be running? Also what does this test actually test?

next question of the day, i have the old stlye apexi air/fuel adjuster in my zed, it just got a little knob on the left to which you adjust left and right, its currantly sat on 0, it goes -1, -2, -3 to the left and +1 +2 and so on upto +15 turned to the right? there is no display on the unit and it looks exactly like the boost controller. what does it do?? cheers for any help.

Where has everybody else attached their earth wire in the boot as I know how important it is to find a good Earth?? Many Thanks :bow:
