As you may well know, I have just fitted my new Koyo rad but since then

my air con takes ages to warm up is this normal?

dodgy thermostat?

It was ok before I fitted the rad.

But haveing said that the interior light has blown. I think there is some sort of fan thing in there that does the air con. Must be a room stat or somthing.

ย

Perhaps that is on the same fuse. Will test it in the morning.

Anyone?

 what no post's yet............ :D

ย

I have just looked at the fuse & that's ok.

Any idea why it is taking so long to get hot? the car does not warm up inside for about 20 miles with the air con set at 40, only ever set the air con at 26 before the rad fit.....

I would hazard a guess that because you replaced the radiator then there is likely to be an airlock in the cooling system. Try bleeding the system by raising the front end of the car a bit and run the engine with the heater set on 40, topping up the radiator as you go. Don't know if the Koyo rads have a bleed hole like the normal rad, but if it does then open that whilst your topping up, you will probably see loads of air escaping.

my 2p's worth...

That's a top tip. Will give it a try thanks.

I have not had much info on this post. Am I being thick?

ย

Still not working, any more info? how did you lot get on with the koyo mod? Did it do the same for you?........

get car up to temp with rad cap off leave heater on max

remove bleed screw on left side keep topping up until all bubbles have dissapeared, try squeezing the back heater matrix hoses when warm common place to find an airlock hold revs to around 3k whislt doing this to expel all the air from the systym
